Kagore drops to a kneel and takes a deep breath as blaster shots ring out in the gunfight all around him. These youngings were firing wildly but few had the time to aim, to line up their shot and actually hit their target. He needed to be patient...take his time. He turns and took 2 full seconds to line up the shot and squeezed the trigger.

None of you see the fury short alien anywhere around if you take a quick look during the fight. He appears to have fled.

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

"Ow ow ow! I'm calling management!" Rufus quips to distract himself from the pain in his shoulder. Thankfully, Kagore dropped two, which left only a couple more to deal with. He fights through the pain and snaps off another shot.

Rufus drops the last BH that had a weapon in his hand leaving the one scrambling!

Gotal what do you do?

Many of the customers have either taken cover behind tables or fled the building in a panic by this round.

Gotal uses the force, this time to make the table the Bounty HUnter is using for cover either fall over or roll away exposing him.

It seems the Force is NOT with me!

The last Bounty Hunter makes a break for the exist when he realizes the rest of the team is down or dead.

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

Gotal seeing him break and free stands up and sets his blaster for stun.

He glances around. "Now where'd the little guy go? Anybody see him?"

The one trying to grab his blaster is still alive right GM?

Gotals stun blaster hits the BH and he drops to the ground not moving while Kagors strikes him as well.

There are no other BH's around but the room is still in chaos.

The barkeep pops his head back up once the blasting stop. "WHO'S GONNA PAY FOR ALL THESE DAMAGES!"

A grizzled old-timer steps out of the shadows. He surveys the area calmly, his craggy face baked brick red from constant exposure to Tatooine’s suns. He sports a long bristly beard. He steps up to your group as your looking around for more trouble and says to you all in a slow drawl.

"Someone sure doesn’t like you folks. Good thing I just got back from the Dune Sea or I might’ve ended up like poor ol’ Heff and Slag. I’m Old Arno, the scout, and I got a message from Slag Flats to look you all up."

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

"How do we know you really are Arno?" Kagore says ignoring the bartender and holstering his blaster.

"Oh, they just didn't take the time to get to know us. We're actually a lot of fun."

He glances over to the bartender looking for someone to pay for the damages. "But we're cheap. Let's go someplace else." He tries to coax everyone to get moving before someone sticks them with the tab.

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

Gotal does address the barkeep, "Sell their blasters, they'll not be needing them".

He then steps over to the now stunned bounty hunter to lift him up, Gotal trusts Kagore to vet this new man.

Arno looks between the three of you.

"Your just going to have to trust I am who I say I am arn't ya chap? Lets move to someplace with less ears that can hear us."

You all head outside someplace where there isn't much traffic.

"I figure Slag and Heff were killed because someone thought they knew something about this Adar Tallon fellow, seeing as how them and me are the only locals who date back that far. Seems to me there was a group of people who arrived right around the time of this commander person’s death. They settled out in the Wastes, actually purchasing some deserted homesteads. So that’s where we’ll start in the morning. We’ll check out them places and see what we can see. Lank’s Farm, Tusken Fort, and Sedi Fisk’s desert manor. Yup, it’s gonna be an interesting day."

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

"Oookay," Rufus says. "I suppose I can agree with that."

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

Gotal drops the bounty hunter he was holding. "Is it worth holding on to this one then? Perhaps we still have something to gain by understanding why he and his fellows attacked us?"

Sorry for slow posts guys things been crazy with sick dog, family and work.

Arno looks down at the Bountyhunter.
"Probably because you lot have been poking around and they want you out of the way. He's probably useless to this cause me thinks. Lets get some rest it's late now and the town is buzzing to loud to do anything of use right now. We leave at second dawn."

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

Gotal leaves him where he dropped him and heads away with Arno.

As they walk he turns to his companions whispering, "I suppose we are sure we can trust him?"

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Kagore whispers back. "So far all we can say for certainty is he is a different faction than the ones who just tried to blast us in the cantina. Lets let this play out. We don't have a lot of other leads and this might get us a step closer to finding the bounty hunter in the Mandalorian armor. I have a score to settle with them."

To Arno, "So Arno, where are we gonna meet tomorrow? I'm a little wary of assassins coming after you like they did Slag. No offense but maybe you should come with us to our ship."

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

Rufus rubs his singed shoulder once more, then nods in agreement. "I think a rest might be nice. Since we've landed, I've been hassled by a street preacher, blasted in a bar, and nearly drowned in a desert. It's been a day."

"Staying at your ship is fine. Lets move out!"
He takes you all back to the ship in his battered cargo skiff.

You all rest hard as the day and night was long for the three of you and Arno wakes you at second dawn urging you get a move on.

"Something big has happened in Mos Eisley and want to check it out before we move out."

He cranks up the old repulsorlift engine and the skiff rattles forward, sounding very much like it’s about to fall apart. But it doesn’t, and soon you all drive into town.

Something is different in the spaceport on this bright, hot morning. Something has changed. The Mos Eisley streets are quiet and less crowded, the citizens go about their business with obvious ease and relief. Old Arno pulls up outside the general store, offering a slight nod of greeting to Tar Lup. "Hello, Tar. Why’s our little town breathing so easy this fine morning?" asks Arno. "Can’t you tell, Arno? They’re gone," smiles Tar, "the bounty hunters have gone. The whole lot of them got up before First Dawn and headed out into the desert."

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

"Damn it all. Loose lips Arno...loose lips." Kagore growls as he feels a self directed anger for not having anticipated this after everything. They just couldn't seem to get ahead of the bounty hunters and he really hoped that wasn't going to cause him to lose anyone else on this mission. "We need to go...NOW."

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

Gotal sighs, "This is proving to be more difficult than I thought. I trust you know where into the desert they went Arno and are not just guessing?"

Old Arno maneuvers his clunky skiff through the wider streets, never looking behind to see if you are following. When he reaches the edge of town he guns the engine and the skiff shoots off into the desert. Soon Mos Eisley is far behind, just a speck on the scorched horizon.

CUT-AWAY TO THE RELENTLESS
EXTERIOR: SPACECRAFT IN SPACE. The Imperial Star Destroyer Relentless, docked with Kwenn Space Station.
INTERIOR: IMPERIAL STAR DESTROYER — BRIDGE. Captain Parlan stands upon the command platform, watching the space station through bridge viewports. A lower officer steps up and clears his throat. Speak, orders Parlan. "The crews have worked through the night and all systems have been repaired," snaps the officer. "In addition, astrogation has calculated an optimum hyperspace route that will get us to Tatooine by tomorrow evening." Parlan’s eyes sparkle and his lip turns up in an evil smile. "Then Tallon’s mine! Order immediate departure."

EXTERIOR: THE TATOOINE DESERT
###################

As you come over a large sand dune you see a flat plain that stretches to the horizon. There, lying wounded just above the burning sand, is a large sail barge. Overloaded with bumbling, amateur bounty hunters, the craft appears to be ripe pickings for the creatures surrounding it. The sail barge is under attack by three huge, terrifying monsters! "Them’s Krayt Dragons, explains Arno, "some of the most fearsome creatures to walk the Tatooine sands."

1 person marked this as a favorite.
HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

Rufus eyes the creatures nervously and glances down at their rickety speeder. "We're going to need a bigger skiff."

He then shoos Arno out of the driver's seat. "Best let me take the controls."

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

"Looks like we should go around them. If they keep the Krayt Dragon's busy we can beat them to Tallon."

Male HP 23/30 | R 13, F 12, W 15 | DT 12 | Per +9 | FP 4/5 | DP 1/1 | DSP 1 Umbaran Jedi

Gotal remains quiet as they survey the barge.

DM:
Is it obvious that the Bounty Hunters are using the barge for transportation? It does not look like they assaulted it and then in turn the creatures are assaulting them correct?

Yes Krayts are hostile and the BH look like they probably in trouble with this beast.

Arno looks a bit taken back when Rufus pushes him to the side to take control. "Hey mate!"

Rufus make Repulsorlift Ops roll please.

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

Rufus' hands fly over the controls as he gets ready to hit the accelerator in case the dragons turn their attentionto them.

Repulsorlift ops: 5d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 5, 3, 3) = 19

Rufus zigs and zags through the dunes with ease as if he was born to drive one of the these things.

Are you trying to avoid the kraytes and let the BH deal with their own fate?

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

I can't see any reason to stick around, and three VERY BIG reasons to get out of there. Any objections?

None here!

You leave the sail barge behind, driving your landspeeder over a hill of sand. Suddenly, without warning, the hill moves! Sand cascades like water from a fall as a huge creature rises out of the desert. This Krayt Dragon roars, drowning out the sound of your vehicle’s engine. Its dripping, tooth-filled maw snaps closer and closer.

Rufus make another Repulsorlift ops roll at TN 15 to not have the speeder tip over from the avalanche of sand pouring down at your speeder.

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

Rufus' shout is lost amid the roar of the dragon as he tries to evade the monstrous beast.

Repulsorlift: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4, 4, 3) = 18

Miraculously Rufus is able to keep the landspeeder stable without tipping over dumping you all into the sands and passes the Krayte unharmed!

Arno looks to Rufus "Your good mate. Keep driving!"
Arno directs Rufus where to go. "Where going to Sedi Fisk’s desert manor."

The canyon is quiet, still. Nothing moves but the hot, midday breeze, and it blows unobstructed through and around the shattered buildings. The manor lies in ruins, as does every other dwelling in the vicinity. Whatever happened here occurred long ago. It appears Sedi Fisk no longer lives in this tiny community.

Make TN 10 perception checks as you make your way through the settlement toward the manor.

Looking around you can tell that ruins date back at least a year, possibly longer. Shattered gaffi sticks can be found among the broken remains, as well as deteriorating signs of previous habitation and recent animal infestation. In fact, some of the animal droppings look quite fresh.

The broken remains lean toward you as you climb over rubble and under hanging wreckage. After a time the twin suns dip lower and shadows grow longer. You imagine that things are moving in the darkened corners, just out of sight. Then, without warning, a shadow disconnects from a crumbling wall and dashes in your direction.
