"Imperial security codes! Piece of cake. Let's see... 1-1-1-1-1, 1-1-1-1-2, 1-1-1-1-3..."

Rufus starts working with a very rudimentary understanding of slicing.
Computer Prog/Repair: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 3) + 1 = 9

"Ah, this could take a while."

Drama Dice! You got 3 I believe gives you 1d6 extra.

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

Oh, all right.

Drama Die: 1d6 ⇒ 3=12

Rufus plugs away at the control panel and the blast doors slide open and suddenly a burst of hot air forces you back. You see a twisted metal staircase that descends into a raging inferno! The large area beyond the blast door is a sublight propulsion unit shaft, and the cylindrical sublight engine itself is burning. However, it appears that the staircase can be used to climb down to a suspended catwalk which opens onto a workstation.

Please make easy (10) climb rolls to reach the catwalk!

Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Climb: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 4, 3) = 19

Is this where we need to go or merely a place to get to a console then leave?

Kagore pulls himself up avoiding the scorching heat.

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

"Oh, great," Rufus mutters as he follows up the ladder after Kagore.

There are exits beyond so yes everyone would go across.

gotal climb: 3d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 5, 6) + 2 = 19
gotal wild: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Both him and his wife make it across. The climb across is bumpy but everyone makes it across and gain access to the computer systems.

One more roll! Please make very easy (5) comp programming roll to access the computer and then an easy (10) comp programming roll to get more details.

Colton steps forward and starts pushing buttons on the computer terminal.

Having gained access, he closes his eyes and concentrates for a moment (a round).

Force Target Number 10: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 4, 6) = 17

After a moment's concentration, his fingers begin to fly over the computer controls as quickly as any droid.

Readings on bridge indicate 67 percent power loss throughout ship. Two of six power cells operational. Main and auxiliary reflector screen generators destroyed. Power available to remaining weapon systems nominal. Starfighter complement 97 percent depleted. Crew casualties 54 percent.

It is therefore my decision to reroute all available power to engine control core. Main and auxiliary hyperdrive and sublight engines to be rigged for self-destruct. Three-hour delay posture. Implosion engine control core. Clear engine command of all personnel not essential to this operation. This is a priority command. I want no leaks. "We have about two minutes to get off of this ship."

Colton looks for the fastest route to the hangar bay and makes sure that the tractor beams are disabled.

That's 3 hours not 3 minutes :)

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Kagore checks the panel over the lad's shoulder.

"I think ye might have misread that son. Still we are on a timer but we can't afford to run off half prepared. Which way to the hangar where our ship is being held?"

Kagore hated computers and machines. He never had the patience some seemed to havew with them and if he didn't need a ship to travel through hyperspace he might just be content to spend his whole life...on a single planet! For now though he knew that their unique skills would all be needed to make it off this bucket of bolts.

"General Tallon...what sort of damage will exploding this ship do to its attackers?"

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

"We wouldn't be able to make it off this ship in two minutes even if the turbolifts were working. At least, in anything bigger than an escape pod. I think Kagore's right. It's looking like three hours. Which is really a bad tactic, since unless whoever attacked this ship is planning on taking a lunch break and then coming back to finish the job, they should be long gone in three hours," Rufus says.

"Anyway, three hours will hopefully be enough for us to find the Gold and get out of here. Leastways, we know this ship won't be chasing us."

The Force wrote:

Sorry. The decimal point threw me off.

Tallon read the screen as well and looks to the group.

"I have a better plan. I can manipulate the self-destruct mechanism to explode one hour earlier than the Imperials expect. that should take out the remaining crew and this vessel, while still providing us with enough of a buffer to reach the hanger and escape. Cause as much imperial damage as possible. Lets head to the engine control core, follow me."

As your leaving the area you find breath masks enough for everyone to wear. You know they will allow you to survive in near-vacuum, but does not protect from hard vacuum but better than nothing with all that's going on.

Colton slips a breath mask on before double-checking the mask of the person next to him. He nodded to Tallon.

"Alright, one act of sabotage, coming right up."

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Kagore clips the mask on and follows the others approving of this trickery to catch the imperials with their pants down.

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

"Well, two hours instead of three means we won't be able to stop by the officer's lounge to see if there's a loose dejarik table that we can pilfer. But I suppose that could be a nasty surprise for the Imperials." Rufus accepts one of the breath masks and straps it on.

Tallon obviously feeling much better leads the way through a door in the work station. Once you reach the corridor beyond, a gigantic explosion in the sublight engine shaft throws you all off balance to the ground. Tallon opens the blast doors to see what happened and the far side of the engine column has ruptured, piercing the outer hull from inside. You see flames and smoke boiling off of the shattered engine and rolling out into the exposed vacuum of space. Already the air thins and freezes, forming another dead chamber in the dying Star Destroyer. Tallon warns you all to move away and seals the door.

He then leads you through corridors and shafts that have suffered some damage, but not the extent of some places you have already seen. You proceed down levels toward the core with little trouble. After some time you enter and area that is strangely quite. The corridor is wide and low with intersections about 30m apart. With shocking suddenness, a squad of six Stormtroopers appears in the intersection behind you and open fire!

Roll init please! Troopers are at medium range right now so would take an action roll up on them and smack them if you so wish incurring -1D to actions. Ranged attacks are at +5 TN to hit at medium.

Miss! You can opt to try and deflect the blow since you have sense danger active. Going to modify sense danger just a bit where if the attack is 1/2 your parry or less you can deflect back toward the enemy with MAP rules otheriwise it's just deflected.

Tallon continues to lead you through the Star Destroyer and when you reach the next intersection heavy blaster shots ring past you as you see ahead a Tri-Mounted Automatic Blaster Cannon with three storm troopers behind it shooting in your direction!

Rufus falls back away from the giant blaster cannon and into the safety of the other corridor from which they came. "What it the blazes!" he shouts, completely surprised at the weapon emplacement. "Haven't you noticed this ship is exploding around us!?! Why would you set up an E-Web in a random corridor?" he yells at the troopers around the corner.

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

Kagore would have looted the downed troopers for ideally blaster rifles and gear like grappling hooks, grenades...etc...

Need a list before the next scene as a grenade would make a difference.

Perception: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 3) = 9
Initiative: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 6, 1) = 14

Those troopers from before only had blaster pistols.

If you make the perception test you notice a blast door control just beyond the intersection. If you could reach it will give you time to get away but will mean you will need to cross the intersection to get past the blaster cannon.

Intersection Image

Colton moves across the intervening space and closes the blast door.

"Let's go."

Static Defenses:
Dodge: 18 Block: 18 Parry: 12 Soak: 12(18)

"These aren't stormtroopers...they are just boys playing dress up. Who gives their troopers just a blaster pistol...and no utility belt...hmph."

Kagore seems disgusted with the search of the downed troopers earlier...

...in the present.

"That idiot is going to get himself killed! We need to lay down supressing fire or he'll get shreded by that cannon!"

Kagore begins laying down supressing fire from a kneeling position as the corner of the corridor as Colton makes a suicidal run without warning.

Male Imperial Coruscant Human Imperial Officer

Under the flickering lights of a long corridor, yelling above the emergency claxons:

" ... and make sure you get yourself evacuated with the men as well Lieutenant. No need for heroics today Newland, this whole fiasco is entirely the Navy's B'omarr pickle".

A protesting voice came from the secure comlink:

"But sir there are multiple reports of gunfire in ..."

Heshvaun cuts his subordinate off:

"I gave you your orders Lieutenant, carry them out. The Stormtrooper Corps will deal any shipboard situation, our boys will fight another day. Now get our men out of here, and set your coded beacons so our recovery teams find you."

Resigned, the voice responds, "Acknowledged sir. See you at landfall."

The junior officer did not happen to catch the 'find you' reference that should have been 'find us.'

Moving past frantic Naval personnel running the opposite direction towards a damaged six meter long automated fire retardant unit, the Command Officer furrows his brow thinking to himself,

If the Rebels did escape, they would be trying to reach their ship or any unsecured transport off this dying Star Destroyer.

But these were not any Rebels, this group was with Adar Tallon.

And Heshvaun knew exactly what someone like Tallon would do.

Smiling inwardly as a another secondary explosion rocked the Relentless, Heshvaun took a sharp left to head to the turbolift section.

Inside one of the last few left functioning, he keyed for decent to the engine control core.

Kagore lays down suppressing fire as some of the group begins to make their away across the intersection actually striking one of the troopers dropping him! The other two drop to take additional cover behind the gun as the blaster bolts shoot past them!

What are Rufus and Gotal doing? Going to take a mad dash and shoot?

HP 29/29 | Force 5 | F 14 R 19* W 14 Human Brash Pilot/Scoundrel 3

No mad dashes for me!

Still behind cover and staying very prudently away from the heavy weapon emplacement, Rufus still tries to help Kagore's suppressive fire attempt.

"YAAH! POW! KABLOW!" Rufus shouts at the top of his lungs while shooting blindly around the corner, only risking his blaster pistol.

Blaster: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 5, 4) = 11

That should at least play havoc with their ability to properly aim it if not collapse the canon entirely as I assume it is too heavy for them to hold and wield at the same time else why use a mount?

Gotals attempt to pull out a pin fails as they appear to be welded in tight to the mechanism of the tripod.

The Stormtroopers open fire full auto on the lone Jedi with his glow stick running across.

attack: 3d6 + 2 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1, 6) + 2 + 6 = 19

One shot flies past one of them but the 2nd strike true dropping the trooper to the ground.

As the deadly blaster fire thickens, the ship-wide comlink crackles to life. A smoothly sarcastic voice adds itself to the din of battle.

"Are times so trying in teh Rebellion that they have armed moisture farmers and used-droid salesmen against the might of the Empire? Must they leave it to me to train you as soldiers? So be it. Your first lesson is called 'neutralizing a crossfire position.' Do try not to panic."
