The BH in Mandalorian armor drops the ground unmoving!
Gotal reacts quickly striking out at the hairy alien Puggle not wanting to give them a chance to strike out again.

Round 3
Puggles realizing all is lost flips a switch on his gauntlet "Frak this!" and explodes!
damage: 6d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 3, 3, 2, 6) = 26
Enemies in range. Gotal, Kagore, Merc3/4/6
Kagore is dropped to Incapacitated (-3D) - Make TN 15 stamina check or fall unconscious.
Gotal is dropped to Severely Wounded (-2D)
The 3 mercs die.
The rest of those who were not in the blast radius are shaken but the traitor who was furthest away from the blast still has his gun pointed at the woman's head. Tallon turns toward him.
"Stay back or she dies!" the traitor says!
"Quist please let her go. You can leave just don't hurt her!" Tallon replies.
The Force |
The scene is a disaster. Body parts all over the place. Gotal is bloodied. Kagore is unconscious on the ground but you can see he is still breathing. Everyone is shaken and the traitors hand is uneasy as he holds the blaster to the woman's head.
"Stay back!" he says wearily. "I'll do it!"
Tallon holds up his hands with blaster in air as the other mercs keep their guns pointed at him.
"Walk away and let her go" he says calmly.
The man slowly backs towards the exit where there is a bloody mess with his back to the door and holding the woman firm to him.
Anyone want to do anything or just let this play out?
Rufus Griller |
With all the attention turned away from him, Rufus lines up a shot at the traitor, targeting the arm with the blaster. Then, without a quip (his ears were still ringing anyway), he squeezes the trigger.
Blaster: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 6, 6) = 18
Fate point: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Damage: 6d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 2, 6, 3, 3) = 20
The Force |
Fate point doubles the roll in current rules. New rules will give +10 bonus to roll.
Rufus lets loose with the blaster shot hoping he doesn't hit Tallon's wife in the process. Concentrating he feels as if everything is set right in the world around him he slowly squeezes the trigger and the shot hits true to his mark felling the traitor and the woman runs to Tallon's arms obviously scared for her life.
Tallon turns to the 2 of you who still stand.
"Thank you, my friends. It seems that only members of this Rebellion I have heard so much about would risk their lives to defend an aging hero"
He looks to the downed men.
"Your friend and you" pointing to Gotal "Look as if you need some assistance. Before we leave we can utilize the Medical bay in the facility to help with the wounds. If I may be permitted to bring my wife and Droid, I shall accompany you once we are ready. As in the days the Old Republic, the name Adar Tallon shall once again serve the cause of Justice."
Rufus Griller |
After the blaster shot rings out and the traitor slumps down dead, Rufus stands silent for a moment as his actions sink in. Then he blinks away his shock and grins at Tallon. "There's has got to be a great line that I'm not thinking of."
Then he shoulders his blaster and goes to check on Kagore's. "Still with us, buddy?" he asks, then sighs with relief that the brawler is still alive.
When Tallon speaks, he smiles and nods his head. "Yep. But, we still have a Star Destroyer to outrun. So we should be moving soon. Our ship's back in Mos Eisley. What have you got here? Anything that's fast?"
The Force |
Tallon nods "We have my land speeder here that can take us back to Mos Eisley. Lets get your friends to the Medbay fast to see what we can do for them." He turns to the mercs that remain. "Cleanup whatever you can here."
With that the mercs get to work and Tallon along with his wife lift up Kagore to bring him to the medical facilities.
medicine kagore: 6d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 4, 1, 1, 6) = 22
medicine gotal: 6d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 4, 6, 6) = 22
bacta kagore: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 4, 2) = 8 Hours
bacta gotal: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Hours
Tallons wife tosses both bodies into bacta tanks and enters in some information.
You both are healed fully.
A few hours later both men exit the bacta tanks fully healed and refreshed.
"That was a close one friends" she says.
Tallon nods. "We need to get going."
Rufus Griller |
"Maybe while we're waiting for our wounded to soak in their bacta bath, I can take the speeder back to Mos Eisley and then fly our ship back here. It'll be easier loading her up with whatever supplies you want to bring along. If I know the Rebellion, they won't turn down this kind of equipment," Rufus offers.
Once the business of securing Adar Tallon's support for the Alliance and making sure his friends are being tended to, Rufus finally lets his excitement for meeting a legend in starfighter tactics get to him. He relays his own love for flying, and has to comment on some of Tallon's old tactics that he learned at the Academy that are still being taught to this day.
Whatever the old warrior is willing to impart, Rufus soaks up with an eagerness not seen since his first years in flight school.
This can hopefully explain Rufus's gaining of the Ace Pilot perk when we switch to the new rules.

CUT-AWAY TO THE RELENTLESS
EXTERIOR: SPACECRAFT IN SPACE. Streaks of blinding color whip past the Imperial Star Destroyer Relentless as the giant craft mom through hyperspace.
INTERIOR: IMPERIAL STAR DESTROYER — PARLAN’S
CHAMBER. Captain Parlan, alone in his chamber. A strange sound enters the room and light begins to play across Parlan’s dark features. He looks up and bows quickly. A 12-foot hologram of Darth Vader materializes before Parlan.
"Everything proceeds according to plan, Lord Vader," says Parlan. "We are about to come out of light-speed just beyond Tatooine system. Nothing can possibly go wrong."
"See that it doesn’t. Captain Parlan," replies Vader grimly. "Do not fail the Emperor… or me."
Fade to…
EXTERIOR: MOS EISLEY SPACEPORT.
##########################
One of the mercs runs into the room.
"Sir we received reports that the Relentless is already anchored above Mos Eisley and they are starting to send down ships."
Tallon turns to Rufus.
"May not be a good idea for you to go alone my friend. May be to much trouble to get the ship and bring it here, probably best if we can get to it and try to escape as fast as possible."
Kagore |
##########################
SCENE CLOSE UP OF KAGORE'S FACE FLOATING IN THE BACTA TANK.
Floating in the Bacta tank Kagore found himself in a darkness of his mind's making. He looked around the inky darkness of the void he was in and then down at himself, realizing he was no longer wearing his old patched together armor. When he looked up again there was Dana standing there watching him with a sad smile on her face.
"Am I dead? I took care of the bastard who killed you Dana..." She shook her head no and came closer.
A great weight seemed to come over Kagore as if all the long years of his life were suddenly upon him. "I have fought so long...I am so tired. All I've known, the republic, my comrades, my friends you included... all gone now. I can't beat the empire, hell I couldn't even save you from a murdering bounty hunter. The others are better off without me..."
"No."
He looked up at her simple statement feeling a pain in his chest as he met her eyes, the disappointment in them so clear at his voicing his inner doubts and fears.
"Your strength comes from your living every day with the burdens you carry. The weight of the fallen in your fists. To rising again every time you fall and taking another step forward." Her hands came up and cupped around his curling it into a fist and holding it.
"Carry me with you too now. You are my only hope."
##########################
END INTERLUDE
Kagore awoke having aches all over his body but his wounds miraculously healed. groaning he cast around for his gear and armor as he recovered. There was no time to lie down...Gotal and Rufus would need his help.
Gotal of Umbara |
Post Fight
Gotal spends less time in the bacta tank than does Kagore. Once he comes out he looks over his Rebel ally to ensure that he is getting well and does not need to use the Force to intervene.
In the meantime while he sits he calms his heart and his mind for the journey ahead. He hopes that the road before him will bring him across the path of a Master or a Holocron that may have survived the Purge. He would need it if he will grow in the Force and become powerful enough to face this Empire and its Emperor.
------
NOW
Gotal nods to Tallon, "Agreed, our lives are irreplaceable this equipment is not. Let us go".
------
Rufus Griller |
Rufus grows pale when he hears the star destroyer is in orbit above them. "Right. Escape is good. Let's do that."
As he starts loading up whatever gear can be stuck in the back of the speeder, he has to ask, "Are you sure you don't have a spare starfighter lying around?"
The Force |
"Sorry my friend. Our old Z-95 got destroyed a few years back by some raiders."
Everyone gathers their things together once Gotal and Kagore are good to go and head out on the speeder. Along with the three of you is Tallon, his wife and droid. The rest of the Mercs stay back at the fort.
The twin suns of Tatooine set the twilight sky ablaze with fiery color. But even as darkness approaches, Mos Eisley is alive with activity. People are running everywhere, preparing ships, gathering belongings, paying off debts. Even the locals move quickly, securing doors and windows, transporting families and possessions to safer quarters. It appears as if a mass exodus of visitors and residents alike is imminent.
The Force |
As you make your way to the spaceport to Docking Bay 94 where you left the Alabaks Gold you see a man in imperial uniform standing in front of the entrance with ten storm troopers. There is no other entrance to this Docking Bay.
perception: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 1) = 6
They don't seem to notice your group but there is no easy way to sneak up on them either with the narrow path but lots of cover with crates and such.
Gotal of Umbara |
"Rufus can you jam their comms? Perhaps I can convince the Imperial that he should be guarding another bay instead of this one. Of course if I fail having them not be able to report back would be ideal".
We are under the new rules now correct?
Kagore |
"Imperials at the hangar doorstep and your worried about drawing attention? Its that or we go to the top/far side of the hangar and you use that fancy saber of your to cut a new entrance and bypass them entirely. Those are my opinions on the best options rather then put yourself in the middle of them and hope for them to believe you."

Gotal grins at Kagore, "I mean drawing attention from that Star Destroyer but your point is well taken. Agreed, let's find an alternate entrance!"
DM is there a side to this hangar that will allow us to access the roof and pull off an alternate entrance?
Rufus Griller |
Rufus nods in agreement with Gotal. "You're right; any ship blasting its way out is going to be target number one. What I wouldn't give for a good bantha stampede right about now." He chews his lip as he thinks of the sort of mayhem that they could cause that might let them slip away unnoticed.
"I don't suppose we could create a diversion with those grenades? And I'm still a little curious about all the empty bounty hunter ships that may be available for our use."
Gotal of Umbara |
"I don't suppose we could create a diversion with those grenades? And I'm still a little curious about all the empty bounty hunter ships that may be available for our use."
"Is there anything on our ship though if we eave it that can be used to track us down? That is my concern with leaving it here..."
The Force |
Rufus you know that the Astrogation system could very well possibly lead whoever slices into your system the ability to know where you have been to in the past possibly leading to some places you would rather the imperials not knowing about.
There are numerous docking bays but blasting or cutting your way into a new entrance may be very troublesome into your docking bay. Time is of the essence and obviously they are on the look out for Tallon and possibly you guys if they have any witnesses.
Rufus Griller |
"Yeah, probably shouldn't leave the Gold around for impound. There's a few systems in the navicomputer that we probably won't want the Empire to find out about."
Rufus grabs the controls of the speeder and gives them a once-over. "All right; I'm going to drive casual. Tip your cap and don't look suspicious until, well, you do something suspicious."
Rufus Griller |
"What's up with that grenade? I've caused bigger explosions while cooking!" Rufus shouts as he kicks the throttle on the speeder and sends it into the squad. As he reaches the stormtroopers, he fires the vents to send it into a sideswipe to catch as many as he can.
Repulsorlift ops: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 6, 1, 1) = 16

Gotal will draw his blaster and fire at whichever Stormtrooper appears to be controlling the communications device.
Blaster Attack + Concentration Pool 5d6 + 4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 2, 4, 2) + (2, 4, 6, 5) = 27
Blaster Damage 5d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 5, 5, 3) = 21
Is there a crowd around here DM? If so I would not pull my lightsaber for the battle. If not I would next round as we will likely not be leaving any prisoners among these unfortunate Troopers.
The Force |
The area around the spaceport is very crowded.
Kagore tosses the grenade toward the group of troopers not landing to far from their location but there must of been something wrong with it, perhaps old grenade or faulty mechanisms because when it detonates it barely explodes not injuring anyone near it.
Troopers Init: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Prefect Init: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 4) + 2 = 10
Tallon Init: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 3) + 2 = 9
Gotal shoots at the Prefect using his concentration to ensure he doesn't miss blasting true knocking him to the ground unmoving!
Rufus floors the speed in the direction of the entrance where the troopers are looking a little confused as they hear the explosion and see their prefect drop smashing into 3 of them.
ramming damage: 5d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 3, 6, 1, 4) + 2 = 20

The 6 remaining troopers move to take cover and fire back at your group.

ALL MISSES! Your all up again 6 troopers left.
The Force |
Rufus always trying to make light of the situation shoots wide missing the troopers. Sometimes you wonder if he was trained with the imperials...
Gotal and Kagor both drops more troopers! (3 down!)
Tallon takes a shot at another Trooper
attack: 5d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 6, 1, 3, 4) + 2 = 21
damage: 5d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 4, 5, 1) = 17
And another one bites the dust!
Suddenly there is a big explosion in between where the troopers are and you.
damage: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 3, 1, 2) = 12 (Stun damage)
The remaining troopers appear to be knocked out.
Rufus/Tallon and his Wife are are stunned -1D for 2 rounds and Gotal/Kagore are not affected by the blast.
A mechanical voice calls out, "Adar Tallon, in accordance with Imperial Bounty #82,471, I demand your surrender."
You see a battered chrome Droid, tall and thin, loaded with various weapons, both built-in and carried!
IG-72 Init: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 3) = 12
You guys can act again before the droid bounty hunter goes again!
Kagore |
"Get into the Hangar!"
Kagore runs for the hangar firing twice with his blaster rifle at the droid.

Gotal of Umbara |
Gotal grits his teeth and considers taking direct action against the Droid but instead hustles Adar and his wife along. "Go. go!"
He falls into the rear position to be between the Droid and his companions as they head to the ship. Like Kagore he slows down enough to take a shot at the newest threat.
Blaster Pistol 4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 4, 5) = 18
Blaster Damage 5d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 2, 4, 2) = 16
