I've always liked the thought of Dantooine. For someplace actually mentioned in Star Wars, not a lot has been done with it, to my knowledge. Seems like it could be a blank slate for a base that has in-cannon ties.

Looks like a good option. It was actually used at some point as rebel outpost according to wiki in the early days.

Right. That's where Leia sent the Empire when Tarkin threatened Alderaan. The scout ships reported finding the remains of a Rebel base but it had been abandoned.

I remember reading somewhere that it had been abandoned when the rebels found a tracker in a supply crate on the base and they thought it had been compromised.

Fun fact, while at West End Games I did a bit of backstory for Dantooine, and much MUCH later pushed for it to be part of the Knights of the Old Republic video game on many fansites.

Also identified Colonel Cass, (who was later made General Cass in EU) who reported to Grand Moff Tarkin that the Rebels had left their base there. He was in the novel but never named in the movie. Another author gave him a first name decades later. I was of the Old School mindset that Imperilas did not get first names.

Fun trivia question.

If we assume Darth is a title and not a name, who is the first Imperial to get a first name in the Original Trilogy?

Intimatley familiar with that room and it's occupants. I miss them so.

Meh. I'm done with Star Wars outside of the OT timeline. Rogue One was the Star Wars movie I'd been waiting for since 1983, but outside that, I'm just not all that interested in Star Wars moving forward.

The Force Awakens was a massive disappointment and left me unexcited for the continuation of the saga. And I'm unenthused about the future side stories. Han Solo could be good, but without Harrison Ford, it's just not going to be the same.

I am really enjoying Rebels, though!

R2 D2 given a voice in A New Hope

With the 40th Anniversary of A New Hope coming up, there is talk of theatrical re releases for Episodes IV, V, and VI before The Last Jedi comes out in December.

Debating removing Init in combat and everyone just acts at same time and whoever rolls highest on their attack is determined to have reacted fastest that way you can just do what you want and not have to wait for init of othes? Thoughts? This is how 1st edition WEG Star Wars played out basically.

added some additional combat options for ranged to cover the Supressive Fire (called sweep) and some full/semi auto options for guns that have it as well as called shot modifiers if anyone ever wants to try that.

added lightsaber combat variant for 2 jedi types fighting each other instead of using normal combat to make it more "cinematic!" See the 1.1 rules for info. Not that you guys will be fighting any dark jedi soon, or will you?
