Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

It is a dangerous time for the Republic. The Treaty of Coruscant and the Sacking of Corsucant has caught everyone off guard. A dangerous Cold War exists between the two major powers in the Galaxy -- the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire.
The ship drops out of Hyperspace, and thankfully, the Hyperspace routes are still stable to Tython. Tython is a beautiful blue green world, much like another garden world in another Galaxy far, far away.
All of you see how beautiful it is, even in the spaceport.
Dropping out of hypespace Iona immediately connects to the Tython METOSP, listening to it before opening up a link to the Planetary Information Chanel to find her dock of destination.

Drawing near the planet Iona opens up a link to the authorities, bradcasting her transponder codes. "This is the Lady Felicity flying in from Alderaan with a cargo of Thrantas, request permission to land."
Kaath once more prepares for the landing, hoping this one is a bit less eventful than the last, and eager to get the animals out of the cargo bay, as they have a tendency to try to eat things they shouldn't be eating.
Covered in the excreta and excoriation of the cargo Chal was a sorry figure indeed. It was clear he'd never had to manage cargo before... let alone that of an animal nature... as soon as his work navigating in was done he rushed to his room to clean up... only to have whatever hopes he had for cleanliness dashed when he found out he'd have to help with the off loading too.
This may be premature, but I figured I'd throw my hat in..
On Tython, Dycabaska feels the Force shift. The white furred Wookie starts as the subtle Force suddenly quivers, as a spider's web shakes when a fly is caught in a far off strand. His meditation, usually fragile at the best of times, is broken and he lets out an exasperated growl. He stands and stretches, shifting seamlessly into a lightsaber form and ignites his blade. He begins to move through the forms, slowly, then faster as the blue blade turns into a blue streak. Abruptly he is done, seeming more calm in his movements than he did during meditation. He switches his lightsaber off and gathers his things, including the small silver disc of the Vox Box, which he slips onto his belt. His claw slips when attaching it and a computerized voice sounds off "I have a bad feeling about this." Dycabaska nods and huffs with agreement. Something is indeed coming. Something big.
Watching as the green planet fills the viewport, Thollus' thoughts turn to the possibilities posed by this planet of Jedi's Is it here that my destiny will be fulfilled, answers to my many questions , or perhaps more puzzles will be unveiled....
"Captain, you have permission to dock at Space Station Alpha. Our spaceport is small here at Tython, as we don't want to introduce too much pollution. You will have to land by shuttle, over."
The voice is nice and understanding, like what you expect a Jedi to sound like. Wise and thoughtful. Although, you have the feeling that some Jedi are just full of action and would like to change the world through physical action rather than contemplation and meditation.
"Roger that. Setting course." Iona replies, indicating Kaath to set the course and signing off.
"Just perfect." she grumbles. "You heard'em Mr. Thollus. Space Station Alpha is as far as I can take you." she say half-apologetically to her passenger.
No matter how much he cleans his clothing there is no way to get the 'smell' to entirely leave the fabric. Moaning and muttering as to his condition he moves to watch Iona pilot the ship.
"While I can understand their desire to protect their planet, I fail to see how shifting the traffic to their atmosphere helps any. They still have to move all the stuff down there, whether it's a big ship making one trip or a little ship making lots of trips. Oh well, I guess that's their problem to deal with, not ours, I suppose, so no use borrowing trouble." Kaath just shakes his head as he watches the ship move toward the space station.
"Hmm, perhaps Captain, if I'm not to presumptuous, you should remind them about our cargo. They may not appreciate having a cargo of smelly irritable Thrantas flying about their space station." he says with a smile.
Iona nods at Thollus's suggestion and opens up the com again. "Umm.. Flight Control this is Lady Felicity please confirm destination; Space Station Alpha, I repeat; A freight full of Tranthas for Space Station Alpha. You guys seriously want Trantas on that station? You realize their messy right? No matter how you domesticate them they still s@!+ where they please. Over."
Iona cringes at Chal's grumbled whines, it had seemed such a good idea to have the neimoidian take care of their cargo, she just hadn't counted on him whine just so much. She knew she had only herself to blame even though that didn't make it any less annoying. "Nearly there Chal." she says patiently. "Your nearly free off 'em."
Kaath just chuckled at the neimoidian's complaints. "That's nothing compared to some of the stuff I've seen. At least once the thrantas leave, the mess can be cleaned up, and we can move on. I remember one shipment of concentrated spices that took six months and two full power washings of the cargo hold to finally get rid of. It was bad enough that while they were still onboard, they could be smelled on the entire ship at times. We were all glad that was a short trip, and not one of the long hauls."
'Awesome!' Iona grins and gives Thollus an appreciative nod before turning the ship to said coordinates and heading planet-side. "Roger that flight controll, heading in. Lady Felicity out."
With a smile for Iona and a wink for Kaath , Thollus says "I thought they'd see it our way. I'll see that my gear is stowed and ready for our arrival."
Landing on Planet Tython is easy. Apparently, the Force is so balanced on this planet that there are few storms that occur. Probably remnants left over since the Force was first discussed here, or the Jedi just expect storms.
Landing on pad 327, you are far and away from the Jedi Temple, but not that far. The gnarls is just a hop and a skip away by air speeder.
In his chambers the wookie senses an odd disturbance, as if a PbP had suddenly cried out and then was silenced. He grabs his lightsaber, slings his utility belt on and heads off to discover the source of the disturbance.
Several Jedi padawans, all failed at becoming Jedi Knights, are coming up to the pad followed by Master Silvartei of the Jedi Order. The man is carrying a data pad and he looks to be in his sixties or early seventies. He has come to count the thrantas that were expected to be delivered.
The large white wookie bows respectfully as the Master passes. Dyce tilts his head and lets out a low inquisitive growl. Perhaps this is what the disturbance in the Force was trying to convey? He follows the Master at a respectful distance; if nothing else, his strength will aid in the unloading.
Iona stares open mouthed at the procession, ogling at the jedi through the cockpit viewscreen. "You guys see any lightsabers?" she asks eagerly, almost childishly. "You think these guys are like the 'Battlemasters' from the holovids?"
As the procession draws near she rushes down the ship corridors and punches the exit ramp button, striking a pose at the top and waiting for the jedi to come into view and wearing her best smile.
At the back of the pack of Jedis, a large white-furred wookie follows. He wears a belt with a tool kit, a vox box and a lightsaber attached. He looks at the newcomers' ship and tilts his head, letting out a low hoot.
"I'm sure they are fine in their natural habitat. It just so happens that the cargo bay of a spaceship is not their natural habitat." Kaath points out quietly to Chal.
Dodging the crew and stevadore droids carrying the thranta cargo out of the ship, Thollus arrives at the gangplank beside Iona "Quite the welcoming party."
"Yes, well, allow me to introduce myself," said a middle aged man at the head of the Jedi. "I am Master Silvarti. I am here to take the thrantas and prepare them to be released in the wilds here on Tython."
You are welcome to them, Chal says hotly, Disgusting creatures, then he seems to remember who is talking to and... how many of them he is talking to and turns pink-grey ...Master Jedi, he finishes weakly.
Stephen Hawkings can give lectures using his device in a pre-hyperspace tech world... Star Wars has a box with just 10 phrases in it as the height of its personal communication translators unless you want to buy a protocol droid... heck, I have an Apple App that will do more :(

Helaman, remember that Star Wars started pre-Star Trek: the Next Generation. So take this into account, perhaps there was a Dark Age in cybernetics and both the Empire and the Republic are starting over with 32 bit computers. Their computers don't catch back up to ours until after Darth Vader's death.
"Right this way, sir. I'm sure they will be as happy to be off the ship as we will be to see them leave." Kaath leads the jedi to the hold where the animals are waiting.
"Master Silvarti, when you've finished your tasks with the thranta, I'd appreciate a chance to talk. My name is Thollus Rhan." Thollus says with a small bow as the Jedi climbs the exit ramp.
