If you haven't already, I have the spell description(s) in the GM section of the Character Sheet for you to look at. The only one of the GM ones other players can't look at is the Secrets one. Feel free to look through the others. :)
I have now. That is a good spell. Pity for me that it is not for magus.

When they release the Compilation, there will be expanded lists for the Classes from the APG and Ultimate Magic. They weren't out when the series began, so the spells don't have them listed. I have a feeling that particular spell will be on the Magus list. :)
Also... Check your e-mail. :)
While we're on the subject of Spell Selection. You should check out Bladed Dash from Inner Sea Magic. A great spell for Magi, I only wish it were on the Sorc list...

Brief update:
Crunch is done. Have 900 gp I don't know what I want to do with. Maybe more potions of enlarge person?
I'll put up the crunch on the alias as soon as the fluffy bits are done. Boss, I'll be emailing you his secrets and stuff afterwards.

Checked it and replied!
I don’t have Inner Sea Magic, is it good? I might need to pick it up, I do have a Paizo gift certificate to spend ...

Thanks, I'll reply this afternoon after work (and not on my phone) with my thoughts. :)
I do quite like Inner Sea Magic and it is a nice companion volume to the Inner Sea World Guide. It is very Golarioncentric, although most of the crunch is generic enough to be useful in other settings.
I'll include a copy of the Bladed Dash spell in my e-mail reply this Arvo for you. :)

Huh. I pulled my druid spells from the PRD. Anything good that I'm missing?

Nothing in Inner Sea Magic until 3rd Level Spells (although there are a few good ones).
I can take a look in the 101 Spells Series for you though.
I'll e-mail you any that I find that you might be interested in. :)

Should any of our characters begin play knowing each other? Have we previously adventured together?
If you want to start play with some prior connection between players that is fine, but it not required. I assume that each of you has been contacted by an agent of the noble, and have agreed to join a group to search for his son. You will of course be rewarded for your service.
If you do, decide to have a prior connection, please give me some broad brush details.

My worst issues were with Excel errors. I'm good now, thanks. Posting her up soon, now the GM has OK'd backstory.

I had to work all weekend which cut into my prep time, therefore, I will have to push the start date back to Friday or Saturday. This will also give Taig a little more time to complete his character. You have all given me some interesting hooks so far. I can't wait to start.
Trinam |
Enard may have attended Acadamae around the same time as an Orfeo Sparacino, but Flavia would not have been there. Her adventuring started in Riddleport and extended through Varisia in general. She could have met Urzur. What are the odds, Trinam? Should we let the dice gods decide? :)
Yes. We should.
1d100 ⇒ 74
I got a 74! What does that mean?
Mothman |
I think Enard will have lived and adventured mainly in the area around Korvosa, perhaps getting as far as places like Kaer Maga and Magnimar but not much further afield.
At different times in his life Enard has had dealings with Korvosa’s nobility, its underworld (the Cerulean Society), the Acadamae and fencing schools, and more recently the adventuring / mercenary / freebooter / treasure hunter community.

I have three completed back stories now. If I can have Trinam and Treppa's stories this weekend it will help in my final preparations. That will leave Taig for Monday. I am trying to kick things off next Wednesday.
I will be working on my character tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

PA: 3d6+9
MA: 3d6-3Let's see, Flavia is OK working with Urzur and notices he's well-built, but he's definitely in "just friends" territory. ;)
Urzur is okay with this, as he is standoffish and may see her as a friend, but not much else.

No problem. I figured Monday was optimistic. I hope the move back to NC went well. My wife, son and I will be driving 19 hours up to Minnesota for Thanksgiving on Wednesday, so I won't be able to work on things until Thursday or Friday.

Flavia didn't adventure until after she left Korvosa and hasn't since she returned, so I don't think they would have met up.

I thought you were gonna play a Drake Tamer? I was looking forward to seeing that.
I didn't have time to build one and do it justice. As it so happens, I had this 3rd level character who never got to be in a campaign. :)

Hopefully I'll get to see your take on a Drake Tamer sometime in the future. :)

Ok - I think I have prepared enough to get started. It doesn't appear to me that any prior connections between characters have been made. Unless you tell me differently, I'll assume that Vadan Pieresiff's agent, Regas Gurvitig has contacted each of you independently to work for Vadan in the recovery of his missing son. Our story will begin, in the study of Vadan's residence. I will start the game play thread shortly and edit this post with a link to that thread.
Enjoy!

I believe Urzur and Flavia know each other from a previous adventure, but haven't kept in touch from the looks of it.
And huzzah! :D
EDIT: Great googly-moogly! They don't call him 'flash' for nothing.
