Maester is a Master roller for fortune and fame ^^.

True that, apologies, my internet has been terrible and changing providers.

Edit: Checking House stats to see if I got them right.

-Bailiff Additional communities has an additional +1 Power cost.

-Shouldn't be any Land resource left to spend.

-Don't recall if we did 2 hamlets to have something in each domain or we did a Small Town.

Maester rolls for first 3 months

6k4: 6d6 + 13 ⇒ (5, 3, 2, 3, 5, 5) + 13 = 36 - 31 Growth

Will wait for Steward player or I will provide one as GM as we were expecting one as a PC.

Wynnter

As a "Herald" what are my day to day jobs? Like what is expected of Wynn?

You are technically a courtier, and your doing the job minor nobles would do. Handle every day things, go visit other lords in behalf of your own, deliver gifts, be able to identify at least every noble house of the Riverlands. You are a beast of the courts and you always find rumors ad/or gossip as well a produce rumors to benefit or hurt who you need.

Your job is to deal with small things for your lord, but nonetheless important ones, as you do represent him in things so your mistakes do weight heavy, but so do your success.

When players need introductions at tournaments it would be your job to do so, as well as introduce them in other settings as and introduce guests to your lords hall. You entertain people for your lord while they wait and usually do damage control if another player is messing up.

Your job is one of the hardest. As a player you must actively find many things to do. I will provide to a certain point but is up to you to go further and beyond. Like decide to visit other lords or the bannermen, etc..

Wynnter

I'm a diplomat... Who can assassinate people and gather gather information, no yeah that sounds about right! XD

Yes, you are a diplomat even if you are lacking in knowledge to know some of the lesser Houses in the Riverlands, you have the skills for diplomacy.

Wynnter

Cheat sheet! >.< She'll have Ironeyes give her a small cheat sheet if she needs one.

Also I find it funny that the bastard is the herald of Naelareon house. Is that common?

It's not an "important position" just like there have been bastards in the Kings Guard, or some of them even becoming lords.

Let's start rolling the Maester awesomeness
Month 1 Growth
Where do the points go?
Where do you guys want to spend it?

Month 2 Boon
Where do the points go?
Where do you guys want to spend it?

Month 3 Blessing
Where do the points go?
Where do you guys want to spend it?

-2 more Defense buy a Tower (Takes a while to build)
-Wealth is always good to upgrade your current holdings (Food Agriculture and Timber). You can also upgrade some weapons/armor.
-Power for more troops or improve the ones you have
-Wealth and sacrifice some defense for a Chapel and the a septon.
-Get enough for another banner House for a player.

Hmm, Didn't Weyland wish to start his own house? Darne could use this chance to raise Weyland into a banner house.

That said!
I would go with Defense and Wealth. Wealth would have more houses looking at us, in both good and ill light. Allowing us to gain even more alliances. And the Defense kinda explains itself, the wealth wouldn't do us any good if we couldn't defend ourselves from those who wish to take it by force.

He did at one point but he has seen the Light... of the Seven and that which motivates him has changed. :-)

Ser Weyland will have Full Plate Armor made to go along with the Splint he currently owns. Other than that, I think I am ready to go.

Well rolls are made, just wondering what players want to do with them and were to assign the resources.

I'll have to read up on those rules, I was not with the group when the House was originally built so I am not familiar with how it all works.

However, I'll be away from the boards for the next few days so it won't be till the 6th that I have any comments.

Combat Initiative 3d6 Defense 13 Health 9 Intrigue Initiative 3d6 Defense 9 Composure 9

Drat my original post didn't go through apparently so I shall post again with far less happiness.

As I have read...Growth is pretty much 1 point gain in a resource, Boon is the best as it can increase a resource by up to 6 or two resources up to 3 each, and Blessing can increase one resource by up to 3 or two resources 1 point.

That said if that is indeed how it goes...Influence, Wealth, Defense is the choices I would be considering looking at to improve.

Influence would gain us more...status so to speak amongst the other houses. Wealth of course is obvious, more financial power to try and pull some stuff, and of course Defense is easy enough to understand.

If I were to look at it, I would say Month 1 to Defense, Month 2 to Influence and Wealth, Month 3 to Influence and Defense.

(Should give us enough to start making a tower that way as far as Defense is concerned and we would have reasonable gains in the other two departments. That's just me, viewing from the political stand-point.)

All that said, Sir Storyteller Warlord. Could we go ahead and have at least a Narrative to bring us all back to the holding, that way we can get a discussion going in character on how to proceed and what intelligence and everything that has transpired so that we can all make informed decisions while we work on the first three months of rolls in discussion. I'm itching to put my fingers back to work with this character.

Destiny-P: 0 | Intrique: 9 Composure: 9 / Combat-Defense: 7 Health: 11/11 Armor: 9 information: House Naelareon

Marcus would go with Defense and Law as well Population (characterwise)

OOC I would also definetely say Influence, Wealth and Defense. Although I would maybe go Month 1: Influence, Month 2: Defense & Influence, Month 3: Defense & Wealth

PS. Will start to get fun for Marcus due to all new characters popping out.

Now that I think about it, Ser Marcus is quite dangerous here. He does basically has huge influence on Darne plus other important facilities in House Naelareon hohoho. Also the role of General in the army plus leading troops.... damn.

Its quite huge boon that Marcus is quite loyal to House Naelareon and Darne (Big influence of recently deceased Lord Naelareon). I was kinda surprised here when I started to think about it. Plus recent increase in fame although I would like to keep Marcus a bit down in the politics (not really fond him being visible target for others, my thoughs)

I'm happy to see how this goes a few times before chiming in, as I don't understand the rules yet.

Will continue to update the Campaign tab.

Important thing to remember are the 4 weddings to plan and in 2 of them money to spend.

Cassondria, Ser Matthias, Ser Marcus, Ophelia.

As Ser Matthias is now NPC he will "decide" to leave the household and live with the Keaths.

Ser Marcus brings in a Darry, a strong and very devout House.
Ser Ereth and Ophelia - it's a story in it's own and possible free banner house.
Cassondria leaves House Naelareon to become a Banefort and a SUPER Green supporter.

Of course the costly thing is lady Cassondria as a daughter, you must pay in Wealth equal to her Status for the wedding, and deal with the proper Banefort envoys that will arrive in a couple of months or two.

Cassondria is Status 4 btw...

Ophelia is Status 3, so I hope you can save 7 Wealth ;) of course Ophelia's is not set in stone, Cassondria's yes.

Combat Initiative 3d6 Defense 13 Health 9 Intrigue Initiative 3d6 Defense 9 Composure 9

Well...then we need to save up some wealth for sure.

Wynnter

Is paying for Ophelia really the house of Naelareon's responsibility? Has she been brought into the family like Marcus? If not, doesn't she have family in Dorne that would be paying for her?

These are questions I would have asked at one time or another because Wynnter and Ophelia are similar in the fact both are bastards who have come to work for the Naelareon House. Would they be responsible for Wynnter should she marry?

Also, I can't wait to join in!!! >_<
You get to meet Wynnter as a female to begin with, no point dressing as a man while playing "Herald". Also, I bought courtier garb for her so that she can "fit in" while she does this part of her job.

Complicated story with Ophelia, so things aren't as easy. Yet she is a member of the Naelareon household now.

Combat Initiative 3d6 Defense 13 Health 9 Intrigue Initiative 3d6 Defense 9 Composure 9

With the weddings to spend Dragons on I am leaning still towards my earlier thoughts. Though I did sway before the requirements of Cassondria being brought to light.

Nicely done!

Combat Initiative 3d6 Defense 13 Health 9 Intrigue Initiative 3d6 Defense 9 Composure 9

I imagine that that may have actually been the Maester's job or some other delegate. I wanted to show Darne as being well informed on the matters and serious about his newfound role. It also gave me an excuse as to why everyone was waiting on him other then the Lord should be the last to arrive.

Also...FORGIVE ME WYNNTER. Darne truly is a man who would prefer to never hurt a lady >.<. It's not my fault, I rolled randomly for the vice/virtue and all that and I have put forth a death threat in their very meeting...~!!!!

Hey, at least you do not have Cruel as your Vice :D

Wynnter

Hahahaha!!! Not a problem Darne! You may enjoy what she comes back with, which I will reply to once I get off work, in like, two hours. But there is just far too much for me to reply to on my phone! >_<

But Wynnter doesn't think less of you for it, honestly you just confirmed how she figured she'd be received.

Combat Initiative 3d6 Defense 13 Health 9 Intrigue Initiative 3d6 Defense 9 Composure 9

~scratches head~ UGH....everything getting so expensive :P. First there is the 5 more wealth we need just for the weddings...now this talk of religion demanded for the small folk.

Psh...the masses don't need religion when they have WORK!!!.

Lol but in all honesty...that's another 15 wealth required and it will take 12+2d6 months to build. The people will unfortunately be without a place to worship for extended periods. Perhaps we could offer up the Hall for "church" one a month in the meantime?

THINK OF THE CHILDREN TO BE....DO YOU WANT THEM ALL TO BE AS POOR AS SMALLFOLK!!!!

I kid of course, still gonna take some time.

Though at least it gives a +3 to the House Fortune roll as a bonus.

Destiny-P: 0 | Intrique: 9 Composure: 9 / Combat-Defense: 7 Health: 11/11 Armor: 9 information: House Naelareon

well, Marcus is not a religious man plus worshipper of Olds :D

but IC he does recognize the need of faith plus to change the mentality of people. But I admit, its damn expensive (Downloaded my PDF files and started reading again about all the costs... and dayum, it is really a lot)

Destiny-P: 0 | Intrique: 9 Composure: 9 / Combat-Defense: 7 Health: 11/11 Armor: 9 information: House Naelareon

@Warlord, So, I went once through my sheet of House Naelareon to just confirm that everything is right and compared it your post

There is apparently "1 Land" left

but then we do have less Influence (according to yours we have - 12 Influence - but its less actually - only 7)

Everything, which is - Red colour -, we do not have as of yet (just to confirm with your markings, which are correct), so we still have a lot of upgrades left in Food Agriculture and so on.

Also, we opted to have 2 Hamlets, due to the amount of land we had (which give us possibilites later then upgrade those places) if I recall correctly. Not actually sure what we spoke or agreed but I suppose it was something along those lines

You don't need to upgrade with a Trader's Inn, as that holding can be made to count into a small town, to build market's and other stuff.

A chapel is 1d6+6. Once you have a chapel you can buy for 5 wealth the priest/septon.
We are doing 12 months or so worth.

Combat Initiative 3d6 Defense 13 Health 9 Intrigue Initiative 3d6 Defense 9 Composure 9

Hmmm...maybe I don't have the right pdf? I didn't see Chapel as an option?

Destiny-P: 0 | Intrique: 9 Composure: 9 / Combat-Defense: 7 Health: 11/11 Armor: 9 information: House Naelareon

That is from "Out of Strife, Prosperity" additional book/pdf to complement more options for Houses

Also, to note people: Due to our House having in the Domain Bailiff, it does help us out with the weeding out possible agents of Faith Militant plus as a huge bonus, we also have the further bonus in that "Investigative Training"

The bailiffs are trained to keep a careful eye on not just those who dwell in their assigned areas, but on any strangers who may or may not have sinister motives entering the area as well.

Just wanted to give a heads up /information for the possible advantage we have in our lands

Wynnter

That would explain why I wasn't finding it either! XD

Wynnter still holds to the "don't do it!"

Oh! That is a lot of help Marcus, it gives Wynn a place to start! ^_^

Just remember that septon, is more of the "family" septon, not an actual septon that preaches at the septry. Of course nothing stops him from spreading the word in your lands, but he won't behappy lol.

Wynnter

You know Darne, I honestly think his and Wynnter's first meeting could have gone a lot worse. This is kinda the mid-ground of what I expected! XD ... Well okay, a little worse when he finds out she's a Snow... If he doesn't know already.

It's still a bit young to be thinking of bastards. I mean Darne is only 16...getting close to 17. Better to have some Legitimate children first.
