Everyone except Kallistiel::
The sound of a wounded bull moose wakes you, or at least, that is what you think you hear. It is loud and piercing, making almost everyone on the boat sit up and take notice. Climbing up to the top deck, you see something that you likely have not seen before. In the bay, outside of what you assume to be Castle Urion, is a large, two story boat. Except that it does not have a mast or sail. Instead, in front of the boat, you see a very large wheel, that stretches from end to end, slowly churning in the water. Also, you see a smokestack to the rear, with what appears in the pre-dawn light to be steam. The boat is moving forward, but at a slow pace, as if the 'thing' is struggling to progress. It is a sight to behold. You hear one sailor murmur in passing "Those crazy Numerians." You are not sure what to make of it.

When the loud noise intrudes into her half-awake consciousness, Elen sits bolt upright, looking over at Lavinia in surprise. Worried about what might be happening, Elen doesn't pause to dress but rapidly wraps her sheet around her body in a makeshift garment, leaving her shoulders, arms and upper chest bare, but covering the rest of her body down to her feet. Hurrying up to the deck, she rushes to the rail where Alliriyallin and her teammates are looking at the strange thing.

"A ship? Without sails? Those wheels must be propelling it somehow... What a horrible noise! I thought for certain some horrible beast must be attacking -- look at me, I didn't even take time for clothes!" Her cheeks darken as she blushes under her tan. "Horses! I bet there are horses inside it, or maybe oxen, turning a big wheel inside like a flour mill. Then that turns the wheels on the outside, which pushes the ship along." She makes a clever, but probably entirely wrong, guess.

The boat pulls into the dock as the grey sky begins to turn pink. It seems quite busy for its size, and already there are dock workers waiting to take on the new supplies and materials. Over the course of the next three hours, items and cargo are moved back and forth between the docks and the boat. While no one gets off the boat, there are several individuals who do get one, including one that looks like he is carrying a musical instrument container.

Sure enough, as the boat begins to pull away from the dock and the breakfast dishes are being put away, the passenger pulls out a violin from his case and sets up to play. The gentleman with the violin is a gnome, thin in stature with a ruddy complexion and platinum blonde hair. He looks out at the people who are standing on deck, before speaking.

"Hello everyone, my name is Roondar the Steadfast, and I have always been one to earn my way wherever I go. I only ask for small donations and I'll play whatever you'd like me to play. It would be a challenging pairing and he wasn't certain her kind could even bear him sons at all. He'd never seen a gnome or halfling within the harems of his people. His thoughts suddenly turned to Lavinia and he glanced in the pale priestess' direction.

"I hope you have no duties to attend to immediately within Gundrun. I imagine you will be... sore for a time after we're done", the bull explains.

"A tub? That is impressive. I was told that I may as well jump in the river, as to have a chance to be clean on this place." Looking at you for a moment, he smiles briefly. "You look like a woman that is typically most uncomfortable in such a...an unsavory place as this. It is nice to know that I am not alone in this." With a deep bow at the waist, he says to you, "My name is Digory...Digory Odgers, at your service, my dear." He stretches out a well-manicured hand towards you in greeting.

Kallistiel snorts, "Considering they probably dump their refuse in the river... yes, the only way to be clean is to bathe in that same river. This place isn't particularly comforting, no, but I make do. They say these kinds of 'learning experiences' can 'improve' one's character. We'll see about that. In any case, I am called Kallistiel Illuiadlara," she says placing her gloved hand in his.

Digory leans forward to brush his lips along the back of your gloved hand. As he comes back, he says, "A pleasure to meet you, Miss Illuiadlara. By your name, you must be from....Taldan? I was originally born and raised there myself. It is a lovely place, particularly along the coast, but I fancied myself a traveler and adventurer, and here I am.". Digory brushes off some spec of dust from his lapel and says, "I must say, I am starting to feel a might peckish. Is there a dining hall here and would you care for some lunch with me?"

Heh, I thought it was clever.

Ruul struggles to understand the bulk of what the curvaceous little woman was saying but her intent was clear enough.

As you say this to the rather promiscuous gnome, make a Perception check to notice Lavinia's reaction.

Wait, what...?? Is he actually planning to, to...with that little...?! Lavinia's thoughts aren't very coherent at the moment as she turns to head towards the stairs that go back below deck.
