Given that the Ring of Force Shield seems to be 0-handed and work with most things, anyone could use it. Lu can actually cast the Shield spell, so it *might* actually fit better on someone else.

Otherwise, Lu has an open ring slot and wouldn't mind : )

@Prae - Have you considered any of the items on the list?

@Armours - I glanced over at our crew, and I don't think anyone would use the half or the full plate, so those are probably sellable (unless our glorious captain wants a suit? Not sure what he has). The mithril shirt could possibly be an upgrade for either Vimes or Beaufort?

@Protective bling - Things like Amulets of Natural Armour, Cloaks of Protection and Rings of Protection are always useful to have and hand over to our sidekicks. I'm not sure what stuff they currently have, but these are sure to be upgrades for atleast some of them.

Unless we want/need cash now I suggest that we hang on to stuff like this.

The stat boosting items that none of the main characters want could be used similarly. But, I must say, I feel more strongly about propping up our minions defences (so that they don't die so easily) then their offence, so this stuff should probably be sold before the protective stuff.

@Weapons - The rapier is sorta cool, but not sure exactly how useful. The maul might come in handy, not sure, but I don't think anyone uses it as their primary of choice?

And since Keiko made the spellcraft roll, I snuck a look at the Overlord's Fang. It is a very nice sword. And given the exact nature of such a sword, Lu would be very very hesitant to pawn if off** (assuming she is told about it!) as it could come back and bite her in the rear again.

Not sure whom would like it the most though. The boost in Lu's hands are quite nice for her, but the AoE splash works best with someone that ignores it (Prae) or someone that heals it (Keiko). We could keep it in a glass jar and bring out 'in case of emergency' :P?

@lein - Is the preference thing set per character, or at a whim? (ie could Lu hold it and decide 'I need a rapier' then switch to 'I need a greatsword' and have the weapon change?)

*If we expect our minions to get in the line of fire. And given our profession, I'd say we should!

**Also, it is named. Can't sell named loot, that is in the rules somewhere :P

For the record, the AoE negative energy splash of the overlord's fang doesn't harm the wielder. In addition, it's Praetorius who heals from negative energy (being undead). Keiko doesn't ignore it, though she won't ever die from it.

I guess it'll be time for me to officially stat out Vimes soon, huh?

Also, I'm going to say that it changes to reflect your favorite weapon. In your case, probably a rapier to reflect the feats you've taken.

@heal + Overlord's Fang - Yah, meant that Keiko can heal the damage inflicted from the splash with her fancy regeneration. But if it doesn't hurt the wielder, that point is moot : )

Ah, didn't mean it that way, not in a hurry. I meant it in a 'yeah we are totally going to get shot at sooner rather then later' rather then the 'rawr I'll attack the first stuff I see' : )

But, while on the topic, we could do some sort of recruiting/training montage for the crew? I guess Spa is going to want some time to fiddle around with the scrolls we buy (and if we sell some of the stuff, he might get to tinker together some stuff too!) so there is probably going to be some downtime. Which the less constructive of us could fill by yelling at poor sods to swab the decks :P

And another thing, anyone got any idea of how much crew we need? 3 per cannon +1 spare and what else? Some sailors/general purpose (deckswabbers :P) guys, some lookouts, chefs & a doctor for the crew, someone to keep all that stuff in order... Some carpenters & so to make minor repairs?

I just saw an idea on the PF Reddit that I thought might be worth a one-time expenditure of a few thousand gold.

Putting a necklace of fireballs inside of a cannonball. Firing the cannonball.

Many dozens of d6 explosion damage!

Put a small alchemist fire inside to "arm" it. Then when you fire the alchemist fire will break and cause the necklace to go off. Boom.

What's our information-gathering system like? It seems like we as a group ought to have some reliable means of determining targets. Perhaps Sparel could cast some divinations? Alternatively, @Lein, how much do our characters know about important personages and goings-on? As high-level mythic-rank characters, I imagine we'd know at least something of other major entities on the Material Plane operating on a similar level? What's actually going on in the world at the moment? Are there wars or the like that we could profit from? Where would we go to pursue wealth?

@Loot: I think Lu pretty much nailed the loot situation. I am in support of giving the basic stat-boosters to companions and selling the other miscellaneous items, with the exception of the Dragon Fang which is too dangerous and too cool to give up.

World Events:

About a year ago, the Whispering Way cult was defeated in Ustalav, its lich leader Adivion Adrissant killed. Lucimar the Lich-Wolf has taken over leadership of the guild, and worshippers of Groetus have been flocking to the area as well due to the frequent opportunities in Ustalav to raise the undead.

A few months ago, a teenage queen took the throne in Korvosa and was subsequently overthrown by a group of heroes and a rag-tag army they cobbled together. Regency has been granted to a man named Neolandus and the heroes have dispersed in various directions. The artifact that served as the Queen's crown has disappeared, however.

A string of murders has rocked Magnimar lately. The murder victims are invariably rich men, with the Thassilonian sign of the Sihedron carved into their chests.

Worldwide, gnomes have disappeared from public view. Nobody knows what happened to them, and they seem to have gone over the course of a single night about a week ago.

The country of Brevoy is rocked by civil war after the disappearance of the ruling Rogarvia family and the surprise appearance of a massive red dragon claiming to be the original Rogarvian scion. Sightings of fey are up and a settlement to the south of Brevoy, called Vesper, is embroiled in a years-long war with a large, organized tribe of trolls.

Nidalese agents have been spotted in increasing frequency all over the world. Nobody really know what they're doing, and nobody's managed to get one of them to divulge any secrets.

People all over the world are manifesting psychic powers, seemingly at random or spontaneously. It seems that this new form of power was triggered somehow, and talented youth, especially in Osirion and Katapesh, are waking to find their minds expanded.

The borders of the region of Numeria have been sealed up, though apparently not by the Technic League. Strange, advanced tecnological constructs walk its borders and the streets of its towns, brutally policing activity within. Very little word and fewer refugees have gotten out of Numeria since its borders sealed.

Undead ships have been spotted sailing out of the Eye of Abendego, their deathless crews attacking towns in the Shackles and ruthlessly slaughtering any people they find.

The Fifth Crusade has begun in Mendev, set off by a surprise attack on one of the Crusaders' border towns by one of the Worldwound's more prominent Demon Lords.

There is word amongst scholarly circles that the Pathfinder Society is assembling the Star of Xin, a Sihedron rune reportedly of immense power, once owned by the great Emperor Xin himself.

There are many smaller events going on, but these are the most significant worldwide events right now.

I really like the sail-airship in that art. I think it is the configuration of sails and shape of the prow that does it. The only thing better then a sail-airship with triangular sail is a sail-airship with side-mounted sails. And the later remind me of the Imperial ships in 40k.

The flagship Divine Right for reference. And a ship with a proper ramming prow (spaceships do need that! Totally :P) instead of a nova cannon. sensor probes

@Crew - I think what lein said earlier was that we can scrape together a somewhat decent crew from the port which the Good Intentions is currently close to.

Perhaps even use a random generator or something and get a bunch of candidates and pick some each*. That way each player gets some grunts to be responsible for!

@Lein:Question - Radazik. I assume that not *every* Efreeti has wish 3/day (and not this one, a mere lowly guard) otherwise thing may devolve quickly. Also, are you okay with us shanghaiing him into the crew OOC?

Wonder how the ship's owner is going to react if we actually bring him back there ...

@Events - Ach, the gnomes! Poor things. Pathfinder gnomes are an sorta adorable bunch... But it doesn't feel like the concern of an evil dragon.

Also, 'massive' red dragon is probably bad news. We could maybe go up against one, but if we don't finish it quickly (and I doubt that!) we will probably have alot of s&$% to wade trough in the future :P (But the new fancy sword deals 2d6 more damage to it!)

The Nidalese agents are somewhat interesting. Tris especially might wanna know what is up with that. But searching for them in a pirate ship might not be the right approach :P

Heading towards Numeria will probably propel us closer and closer to something steam or magi-punky. Could be fun, if everyone is on board with it. But our fancy 'death ray' won't impress the constructs and I think those guys got lasers ...

I'm thinking we could perhaps earn the goodwill of the pirate ports around us by sinking a few undead ships?

@Next step (bigger) - I think we are still aiming to steal that ape's big gun, right?

At the moment, Keiko knows next to nothing about anyone in the party, and half-expects everyone to be something fantastic (She'll be surprised to learn that Sparel is a boring old elf). She'll likely bring up the whole dragon and vampire thing later on during talks, but as a fallen Kami herself she's really in no position to judge. Mostly she just thinks it's cool.

I'd like details on what you get from the level (including what you're taking a level in): BaB, save increases, skill rank allocation, powers/spells/extracts known, powers/spells/extracts per day, class abilities, hit points, etc.

Feel free to roll, or you can take 1/2+1 HD automatically (as PFS standard).

None of your abilities will become available until after you rest.

Huh, now I'm curious about it's story, as those are very much not standard choices. Was it commissioned, or did the maker intend to use it themself? I can kind of understand UMD as a Wizard might want to be able to use other magics and likely didn't invest in it. But why Intimidate? Again, Ignan seems to make sense if you knew you were going to be summoning Fire Elementals or the like, but Undercommon? That would seem to imply they expected to be dealing with undercommon races on a regular basis.

Can I also assume that we'll be selling whatever we decide not to keep, evenly splitting those profits, and having a day or two to go shopping with our shares? If so, I have a list of items to ask about the availability of.

Oh yeah, and can we fluff my tumor familiar to not be gross? Perhaps because I'm an Outsider, instead of being part of my flesh, it's part of my essence, and thus instead of being a gibbering blob of meat roughly animal-shaped, it's instead softly incandescent version of the animal? Something like that?

Nobody here trades in gold (because of its low melting point) so any excess gold after trades will be lost.

Also, you have to trade specific items for other items. No pooling your cash, the items are on a cost-by-cost basis. (I'll decide what vendors want for your requests - go ahead and post a list of things you want)

Sure, we can fluff your tumor familiar to not be gross - The animal-essence sounds good. Like a spirit of an animal, but it's material?

We can also fluff it like a tattoo if you want.

So, since you guys are in recruitment mode, just freed yourselves up from immediate tasks and we lost both Belor and Tar'jub...what do you guys think of pulling in an additional actual player?

I've got a couple players in mind (in order of preference, of course) so we won't be pulling in a rando. I also know that we did just get Keiko and all.
