I counted the 16 as hit. Even though by the rules it would not. Into melee and with softcover you'd shoot at-8. Boar at 28 damage.

Just as a reminder. You are on a narrow path with thick jungle on the one and a precipice on the other side. That's the reason for this soft cover problem and that only one can stand in front for melee fighting.

"Ye know how to gut it? Cause if ye don't do that it might as well be spoiled until we get back. We have a job to do after all." Besmara replies. "Is everyone still in shape to finish that? Or do we need to go back to Sandara first?" While waiting for the others to answer that she collects her knives.

So all go back to the make shift Hospital and the crew gets exchanged. Owlbear and rosie stay with Sandara and Fipps comes instead. Then we take another approach to reach the outlook. "Tis is because it's a stupid land mission. We should have used a ship ta sail around and go ta the lookout on the direct way." Besmara grumbles as she has to walk the way again.

Can I have the healing wand? I might be able to keep a couple of them on their feet with it.

"Cap'n Stabbing people ain't what I am the best at but I will go with ye. Someone got some armor I can borrow?"

Estelle points over to her Armor laying on the Ground.

"Just don't put more oles in it." Estelle Says to Fipps

Narrator

Halfway back to the lookout a parrot flies over your head and lands in a tree. It follows you from there on to the lookout always calling out "Shoo, fly, don’t bother me!" every now and then. Once you arrive you find a number of broken rum bottles on the ground below the tower. Climbing the ladder to the tower’s simple wooden platform, you find the twisted remains of a rope hammock and a few scattered items of clothing. Lying beneath the hammock, with one boot on and the other lying across the floor from it, is the flyspecked corpse of an elderly man. He is recently
deceased, and one side of his neck is black and swollen to the size of a melon. A dried ring of foam cakes the man’s beard and moustache around his lips. The parrot flaps over, alights on the corpse, and squawks again, "Shoo, fly, don’t bother me!"

Heal DC 20:

Heal: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
"Sure can. It's an allergic reaction to a wasp sting. Usually the swelling doesn't get that big, but usually the wasps aren't the size of a horse." Besmara explains.

I get to show off again, yay! Didn't even remember I put a point in Heal :D

Human Male Gunslinger (Buccaneer) 4: AC 16 (Touch 14, Flat 12), HP 49/49, Init +6, Fort +6, Ref +8, Will +1, Perception +8, Grit 4/4

Jarrus is cool and goes with Besmara. He has his pistol out and ready and looks down at the dead old man and the wound in his neck.

"That there's a nasty sore aye Cap'n. Thinkin what did it might be 'round."

Jarrus keeps his eyes peeled for danger.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

"Then let's carry the old man back to Rickety. I guess they want ta give him a proper burial." Besmara suggests. "Did anyone bring rope, or do we have ta throw him down?"

HP 14 l AC 15 (FF 13, T 12)l F +3 R +4 W -1 l Ini 2 Perc +4

Flips keeps an eye out for anymore of the big Wasps, not wanting to die like this man did.

"So we can light the fire and be gone? Don't like them big bugs really and I don't want ta die like this old fella."

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

"If they do cremations here we will leave that to them. But I hope we made it clear to these wasps that we're no willing food and they go search somewhere else. So no rope? As I told, we should have come by ship." Besmara drags the body to the edge of the platform and throws it down. She tries to do so that he lands on his feet first and not the head.

"Let's go. Fipps you take him by the arms, Jarrus the feet. If he gets to heavy you can tell me. Then I'll take over. For the price of calling you my favorite gorl for a week."

Narrator

This platform is hidden in the trees and the old man waved flags for Rickety to know when a ship approaches. This is no light house or such. No one wants to be seen on the sea here.

Human Male Gunslinger (Buccaneer) 4: AC 16 (Touch 14, Flat 12), HP 49/49, Init +6, Fort +6, Ref +8, Will +1, Perception +8, Grit 4/4

"Aye Cap'n." Jarrus says and carries the dead old man, but he's constantly looking around, a bit paranoid that a wasp is going to come out of nowhere. Occasionally he swats a hand at something that's not there.

Lito walks back with the rest trying to keep an eye out for any dangers.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

Narrator

You come back without further interruption. It is sad news to the community that old Lyle Godwin is dead. A memorial ceremony is held in the evening. Which is litle more than Rickety saying a few words about going the way everything has to go and rowing the body - rolled up in white linen with some rocks - out to the open sea and throw him overboard.

Are you making a barbecue?

"Only one? I imagined rows of them on each side. We already have some front and back so check what ye can get for our money. You and Jarrus decide if we need more ship weapons or weapons for the crew." Besmara replies.

"As for the name... I like The Kraken. It'd be a reference to one of Besmara's sea monsters. And Lito could make it a well known saying: In the clutches of The Kraken."
