Uhh..I thought I did go first.

Narrator

Estelle told you to go first and then walked in searching. Sorry, I can't hear what she says because her actions are so loud ;)

Also the clothes seem rather heavy for the fine material they are made of.

searching the clothes:
There is a fine pistol and a stick in one of the robes.

Melee:
Handwraps (+1) Atk +12/7 Dmg 1d8+5; 1d4 bleed l Flurry 10/10/5 (Boar style +2d6 rend if both hit) l CMB +11 (+12 to Disarm,+15 to trip) CMD 23 (26 vs Disarm,27 vs trip)
HP 56 l AC 20 (FF 17, T 12) l F 8/R 7/W 5 l Ini +5 l Perc +12

Estelle will put on the ring, also laying claim to the necklace she puts it around her neck tucking it into her shirt.

"We could look like right nobility with these on, maybe bring in some bigger haul from Pirating."

Narrator

Also looking around you notice two more things. This tree lurking chokers seem to have a nest some 70 feet into the trees. And there is a spyglass affixed to the stockade.

looking through the spyglass:
The spyglass is pointed at Riptide Cove (area D1) and you recognize that the spyglass has been deliberately fixed in that position. You can catch a glimpse of a pair of grindylows cavorting in the water of the cove. And one of them is wearing Sandara Quinn’s tricorne hat.

Climbing the tree and searching the nest:
It contains a potion of water breathing, a trio of silver shoe buckles worth 5 gp each, a ghoul finger with a gold wedding ring on it worth 50 gp, and a silver hatpin worth 5 gp.

Human Male Gunslinger (Buccaneer) 4: AC 16 (Touch 14, Flat 12), HP 49/49, Init +6, Fort +6, Ref +8, Will +1, Perception +8, Grit 4/4

"Whatcha got there? These clothes could definitely come in handy aye. They look fine enough. Might even get us some people on the inside when takin down one of them fancy ships."

Goes ahead and checks out the clothes.

"Well lookit this then." Jarrus says and holds up the fine pistol. Then checks to see if it's functioning properly. Checks the chamber and so on. Then holsters it. And then grabs the stick and looks at it quizzically. "Any of ye scallywags now what this is?"

Narrator

The stick is two thirds of a foot long, about finger thick - a thin finger - and carved with symbols of the sun.

Its most likely a wand. Let's see

Lito casts detect magic.
Then looks to see what's magic.

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Narrator

Lito:
The ring on Estelle's finger is magic, the wand is magic and the pistol is magic.

"None of that belongs to anyone besides the ship." Trytton says as he watches everyone pilfer the lodge.

Yep, its a magic wand. Oh and the ring and pistol are magic too. I might be able to work out what they all do given a bit of time.

Arcana ring: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Spellcraft ring: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Arcana pistol: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Spellcraft pistol: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Arcana wand: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Im assuming the wand will take my spellcraft check from the last post

Trytton, I'll let you collect the stuff for the ship's store. I'll be outside, I want to look at that spyglass.

Lito leaves the others to fight over the loot and goes to look at the spyglass.

Noonan climbs the tree and recovers the items for the group.

Narrator

Climb Noonan: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

Jarrus points the new pistol towards Trytton "Aye easy there water boy, this may or may not be Th' captains but I'll be sure to present me findings to 'er once we get Sandara back. An' right now these 'ere trinkets could help make that happen aye. Is that not the purpose of this trip?" he lowers the pistol and loads and holsters it then begins scratching vigorously at some of his mosquito bites. Red spots covering all his exposed skin.

"Lets get Sandara back aye. Whatcha find there Noonan'?" Jarrus says walking outside to the tree.

Male Gillman Water Kineticist 2 ____ 34 HP

"Point a gun at me again and next time I will let the bugs eat you alive." Trytton states simply. "Besides, did I say we shouldn't use it now? I said it isn't yours to keep. A big difference."

"Aye lad. Let's go git our cleric yeah."

Narrator

What way? Climbing over the mountain or going back and taking the boat around the island?

Melee:
Handwraps (+1) Atk +12/7 Dmg 1d8+5; 1d4 bleed l Flurry 10/10/5 (Boar style +2d6 rend if both hit) l CMB +11 (+12 to Disarm,+15 to trip) CMD 23 (26 vs Disarm,27 vs trip)

Estelle stomps over the Lito, leaving the men to argue over whos is bigger.

"If wes go through that range we leave the boat and have ta come back, if we go by thee boat we miss out on more pillaging."

Those things can swim better then us. If we take the boat, we risk them flipping it over or putting s hole in it.

That would be bad.
I vote we head over the mountain.

Gm can I get a HP count on everyone? I'm hurt and Jarrus is hurt, who else?

Narrator

So the group moves over the ridge of the mountain towards the grindylows. High cliffs surround a deep cove churning with dark seawater. The cliffs around the cove vary in height from 40 to 80 feet. The walls ar enot easy to climb. The tidal waters churn considerably.

Top and side view of the coves.
The one with the crater on the left is the one where you're standing now.

Noonan, you took 5 from the Grindylows back on the ship.

Lito looks down at the water and seems unusually distracted.

Rum, right.....

They were out in the bay and I see a cave here... Oh CRAP. They probably live under water! We are going to have to fight them while swimming.

He Suddenly focuses on Jarrus's gun.
That thing uses fire right? So will it work underwater?

Narrator

Noonan got a spear to the side from the Grindylows on the ship. No one got healing then because Sandara was already missing.

Jarrus kneels at the edge of the cavern. "How deep do ya think the water is down there. Climbin' down might be better but once we get to the water?"

Jarrus puts the powder from his guns into his waterproof powder horn and packs the ammo away and draws the Tidewater Cutlass and checks the blade before sheathing it again. Then looks back down. "Up close an' personal like."

Then starts the climb down.

Climb: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20

Jarrus makes climbing down look really easy.

Jarrus:
The water is more than 20 feet deep. But you can't see the grounds as it's churning whirls up the dirt from the bottom of the cave.

Narrator

To go to the open sea makes no sense, so you go inward. There are two ways to continue from there: D3, D4, D5, D8, or D7, D6, D5, D8. Assuming you are fine with getting your comrades and then leave again. If you want to make sure you got everything you can take the other path when leaving.
Left or Right: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Trytton swims through the tunnel which is - luckily for those without gills - not completely flooded at this time. The first larger chamber you enter is inhabited by eight of these despicable creatures - grindylows.
