The creature floats for a moment until she realizes that she is free from her shackles. She begins to jerk painfully into the southern room where she hisses at Jack touching her eggs, until she realizes what he is doing to which she begins to purr quietly.
My children....... my children...... my children........ I must leave.. I must leave....... I must leave.....
Aishe Kaleja |
When Jack translates the creature's words, Aishe thinks a moment. "Well, we can't very well send her out the way we came in...does she know of a way out?"
Somia |
"Is she here just to breed slaves? it seems an overly barbaric method." Somia's lip curls in somewhat disgust, not least thinking on her own birth being not too far away from this horrific practice.
GM Tyranius |
The creature continues to very slowly and carefully gather the eggs into small groups.
Charles Beecroft |
The poor creature...
Charles attempts to help the mutilated creature.
When he is finished, he turns to the others, his face a blank mask in which burn eyes like two pits of fire.
"I think it goes without saying that we should not suffer any of these sahuagin to live. Killing another sentient creature is one thing, but irrevocably mutilating them whilst they are still alive is another kettle of fish entirely!"
GM Tyranius |
Do you guys want to do anything further with the fish lady or continue on down another tunnel? If so which one?
Charles Beecroft |
Recalling that language is still a barrier, Charles pulls one of the sahuagin corpses into the room, and pantomimes killing it. He then gestures to all of the members of his party, and points out of the exit corridor, once again pantomiming killing the sahuagin.
He then gestures for the fish-creature to stay put.
"Jack? Do you think she got the gist of that?"
GM Tyranius |
The creature stares sullenly at the instruction making no move of even paying attention, though there is somewhat of the start of a smile as Charles mimics killing the Sahuagin. Though it is hard to tell as she stares miles off into nothing.
THe group leaves her be as they continue down the darkened tunnels once more to the Southeast.
You are now on Sahuagin Tunnels Map 2
The water in this cavern is a murky with the haze of fresh blood, and gobbets of flesh float in the water.
Three armed Sahuagin along with 5 Sahuagin that look extremely elderly and 3 Sahuagin that look to be infants seem to be feeding in this chamber of bloody water. The three armed Sahuagin are eating what remains of a set or orbs that look similar to the eggs above while the elderly and infants are feeding on moray eel leftovers.
GM Tyranius |
Yellow are the elderly and infant ones while the red, blue and green are the armed Sahuagin
Aishe Kaleja |
Aishe, seeing the armed sahuagin eating the captive creature's eggs, immediately begins singing a song of battle, moves forward, and extends her pike.
Standard action: Begin bard song (13/15 rounds remaining, Inspire Courage (+2 competence bonus to hit and damage, +2 morale bonus to save vs. fear))
Move action: As indicated on map

Damage (+1 Boarding Pike of Repelling, Inspire Courage, Power Attack): 1d8 + 4 + 2 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 2 + 6 = 17
GM Tyranius |
I will throw us into Initiative then :)
Viviana: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Charles: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Jack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Aishe: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Somia: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Sahuagin: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Aishe swims forward extending her boarding pike as she lets loose a battle cry at the eating Sahuagin. The three Sahuagin eating the eggs immediately take up arms as the remaining Sahuagin begin to swim north through the seaweed curtain.
Aishe quickly stabs her pike straight through two of the elderly Sahuagin as they swim for the seaweed barrier.
The three armed Sahuahin swim directly at Aishe with their tridents.
Blue Trident vs Aishe Ac 16: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Green Trident vs Aishe AC 16: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
The Blue Sahuagin's trident slams into Aishe's leg filling the room with even more murky blood.
The red Sahuagin draws a heavy crossbow from the coral reef floor below him.

Aishe Kaleja |
FWIW, I did specifically say in the spoiler header that, given the choice, she would save the AoO's for the armed sahuagin - they're definitely the greater threat.
Aishe lashes out with her cestus, punching at the sahuagin to her left.
Standard action: Attack blue sahuagin
Attack (Cestus, Inspire Courage, Power Attack): 1d20 + 6 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 2 - 2 = 11
Damage (Cestus, Inspire Courage, Power Attack): 1d4 + 2 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 2 + 4 = 10
GM Tyranius |
Ok I will correct in the morning. It wouldn't have killed the armed ones.
Viviana Masters |
"Oh please" Viviana remarks in a bored tone, swimming up and punching the blue Sahuagin in the chest, seeking to eliminate it quickly.
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Hey question GM, can you charge underwater?
Charles Beecroft |
Charles unleashes on the sahuagin in front of him.
Trident: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 2 = 23, for 1d8 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 14 + 2 = 19 damage.
Trident: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 = 9, for 1d8 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 14 + 2 = 17 damage.
GM Tyranius |
@Viviana- Not unless you have a swim speed as nothing can hinder your movement during a charge
Aishe stabs the two Sahuagin as they approach. After she stabs at the creature she reaches out with he cestus but is unable to make contact. Jack fires a bolt into the wounded creature as Charles, now with little remorse for it, pierces the sahuagin through the chest, effectively finishing it quickly.
Viviana moves in to the blue Sahuagin and slams her fist into it's through multiple times, crushing it under the quick thrusts.

Somia prepares herself as the Sahuagin moves into a better position. Somia begins to sing softly causing the Sahuagin to drift in the water lazily as it falls asleep.
Will save DC 17: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Charles Beecroft |
Charles calmly swims forward, and stabs the sleeping sahuagin through the heart.
He then gestures in the direction of the exit where the others fled.
"Let's finish them off..."
GM Tyranius |
Charles moves north through the seaweed curtain. Once inside he sees that there are roughly three dozen extremely old and young Sahuagin huddled together within the dismal chamber. The young Sahuagin cling to the elders as they visibly shake.
Charles Beecroft |
Remembering the poor creature upstairs, Charles' face becomes flat and emotionless.
"The only good sahuagin, is a dead one..."
He then moves forward with purpose.
Unless stopped by someone else in the party (and I would like everyone to post something before Charles follows through with this), he will then commence executing them.
Viviana Masters |
Viviana prefers not to get involved. Its all fine meeting your foe in face to face combat, or fighting for self defence, but killing unarmed innocents Viviana personally struggled with.
Charles Beecroft |
"The sahuagin that we have encountered have made it clear to me that they are plague upon this sea - bipedal, shark-like humanoids that revel in pain and suffering, especially that of other sentient creatures. It is not what they are trained to be - it is what they are. The only mercy that I will give them, is that which they receive from the point of my trident - a cleaner death than they have offered many others, I am sure."
He then sets about his bloody work.
GM Tyranius |
Charles and Jack enter the chamber and efficiently cut down every last Sahuagin in the chamber. The creatures put forth very little resistance and the ones that do are so weak that they do not stand a chance against the brute force. A few of the young Sahuagin attempt to escape but soon see that their route is blocked by the remaining intruders who are blocking their path on the other side of the seaweed curtain.
After a few moments a deep red tinge of water emerges from the seaweed curtain to intermingle with the feeding room as Jack and Charles rejoin the rest of the group.

Entering the southern cavern everyone but Viviana notices that there is a loose rock in the wall.
GM Tyranius |
Jack looks around for anything suspicious about the rock. Finding nothing he pulls off the rock to find
- a string of tiny pearls (500 gp)
- A soapstone statue crudely carved in the likeness of a wide mouthed sea dragon (20 gp)
GM Tyranius |
Jack searches around the two rooms they previously left behind. Digging through all of the coral Jack comes up empty handed. Seems these rooms were just for feeding.
