Tongue (Ex)
A giant frog's tongue is a primary attack with reach equal to three times the frog's normal reach (15 feet for a Medium giant frog). A giant frog's tongue deals no damage on a hit, but can be used to grab. A giant frog does not gain the grappled condition while using its tongue in this manner.
Sarrien knows that these creatures are giant frogs and he knows everything there is to know about them as he begins to conjure up an image to which the eastern-most frog is terrified of and swims back under the surface of the water.

Jack attempts to slash at the giant frogs tongue but is too entangled in it's tongue to effectively reach it.
Aishe steps back to inspire everyone as she expands her boarding pike to it's full length.
The remaining frog seems a bit perturbed by the image but not enough to run away as it advances on Jack to bite at him, but misses him as it's focus is on the advancing crocodile. Provoking AoO from Aishe

The group continues on the path to the south as a large tree looms into the path. A terrible stench fills the swamp here, a fetid odor of cheap perfume and rotting flesh. A huge tree stands in the middle of the clearing in the swamp, draped with some sort of huge tent. Lurid, painted faces cover both the tree trunk and the tent, and both are decorated with rotted humanoid body parts and carpets of squirming insects.
Aishe Kaleja |
Aishe moves forward, but cautiously. "Let's be careful - who knows what might be lurking inside." She proceeds to extend her pike and search the debris in and around the tent.

"That looks nasty. I don't reckon anyone could have lived here in a long time." Hoping the rotting remains aren't who they are looking for Sarrien takes a better look at the insects buzzing around.
Nature: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Hoping it's not a swarm lol. at least I have some Alchy fire
GM Tyranius |
Sarrien inspects the insects as botflies but not enough to create a swarm from what he can tell as Jack searches the area from any magical effects, detecting an a hint of magic from within the tent.
Aishe and Viviana round the tent and see three rotting remains, that look like experienced harlots occupying the tent. The three rotting remains jerk unnaturally as they react to the groups intrusion with an audible raspy hiss.

Aishe, quickly reacting to the undead monstrosities steps forward, beginning her song of inspiration, extends her boarding pike against the first creature to enter he vicinity.
Aishe jams her pike into the first creature to round the tent's corner, slamming it into the creatures chest as the 2nd rounds the corner she swings the weapon around ripping part of it's chest out to slash at the second creature, slicng a long line across it's abdomen before it reaches her as her arc misses the western creature entirely as the smell of rotting flesh soon reaches her nostrils.

The undead creatures rush forward as two of them snap their jaws at Aishe in response to the boarding pike injuring them. Both of their jaws miss their target with a snap in the air of teeth clashing together.

Sarrien hated undead. Not only were they immune to his magics but they also smelt terrible. No abomination like that should exist. He didn't like it but they were surrounded. He had to help. Walking around their reach he came in to strike the middle whore.

Jack blesses the group as the undead scourge scramble forth while Sarrien places himself in a more opportune location as his blade slides into the creature causing it's eyes to roll back as it slumps against his weapon before falling to the soft earth.
Viviana swings wildly at the monster as her second fist connects with the abomination smashing in it's chest with a sickening crunch. as Aishe drives her boarding pike into the remaining creature dropping it in one precise shot.

Aishe Kaleja |
Aishe nods her head in Sarrien's direction. "I don't, but he does." Leaving the others to...do whatever it is they want to do to the corpses, she will continue searching the ground in and around the tent.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
GM Tyranius |
Peering deeper within the tent Aishe finds hidden among the piles of revealing clothing is a potion f some sort within a flask depicting a crocodile, 3 very sharp oft-used daggers, one of which looks to be of Masterwork quality.
A small chest lies in the corner under a heap of clothes, which contains six flasks of alchemical fire, 2 barrels of very cheap perfume (25 gp ea), a wedding dress inlaid with pearls and a set of three tiny rubies (400 gp), a whalebone corset set with mother of pearl inlays (20 gp), a dozen silver hatpins set with tiny obsidians (5 gp ea), and a scattering of gems and gold pieces (306 gp, 97 sp).
GM Tyranius |
Everyone still with me?
Aishe Kaleja |
Yeah, sorry - busy weekend.
Aishe pulls all of the items found out of the detritus and briefly admires them. "Well, that's quite the haul, if you ask me." She nods in response to Jack's request, then casts a spell and attempts to discern the purpose of the potion.

I suggest we divide the vials of alchemist's fire more or less evenly, in case we have to deal with swarms. Perhaps two each for Sarrien and Viviana, and one each for Jack and Aishe?
GM Tyranius |
Aishe is unable to tell what the potion consists of but it has a soft warm glow to it within the flask.
Aishe Kaleja |
Okay, dividing up the flasks thusly: 2 each for Jack and Sarrien, one each for Viviana and Aishe.
Aishe nods to Jack, gathers up their loot, and begins to make her way in the direction of the hut, boarding pike in hand.
GM Tyranius |
The party makes it's way along the trail that soon curves west up the cliff's face. After a couple of hours of uneventful walking the group soon spots what Xavier had mentioned. A well-built timber stockade surrounding a small lodge within the jungle's clearing. The stockades gate is ajar and the walls are made of sharpened wooden stakes 7 feet high. Vines wrap and strangle a great tree that rises next to the lodge, blocking light from above. Beside it is a bubbling spring!
So basically a large stockade built around a smaller lodge building
Aishe Kaleja |
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Aishe points to the spring. "Finally, we can do what we were intended to do in the first place. Let's fill them quickly and get out of here..." Her voice trails off as she notices the fixed spyglass, and she wanders over and looks through it.
GM Tyranius |
Looking through the spyglass Aishe is able to see the coast on the far western edge of the island where a pair of the same squid-like goblinoid creatures are swimming in the waters near a cave entrance. These look to be the same creatures that attacked the boat right before it wrecked into the island.
Aishe Kaleja |
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Aishe cries out in surprise, "Those...things...took Sandara, maybe Conchobar, too! We have to try to find them, get them back."

Jack Handsome |
"Let us finish this real quick, I doubt we will return, and then check the cave.
Taking the spyglas carefully Jack looks around weaving a divination spell to be sure nothing of value is left behind.
Detect magic
GM Tyranius |
Jack does not detect any magic right next to the small lake but he does sense a small tingle of magic coming from the small cabin building built on the west side of the stockade. The buildings door is ajar, creaking as the wind blows it slightly.
GM Tyranius |
The party enters the building to find that it is a single chamber, crowded with a large amount of furniture, including a comfortable looking bed, a small writing desk, cooking gear, and several barrels o rotting food. The stench of the room is overpowering as flies swarm within the room, particularly around the hooded corpse hanging from a chain off of a beam in the middle of the room. A stool lies on the floor nearby where it looks as if it were kicked.
GM Tyranius |
Standing there for a few seconds Jack begins to realize that the magic seems to be emanating from somewhere on the hung body. Before he can react Aishe slides the tip of her boarding pike into the hood. As she slowly slides the hood off it reveals the sunken face of a man that looks as if he has been dead for a while as bugs crawl all over him and maggots slid in and out of holes in his skin. Pulling the mask off causes the body to sway ever so slightly as the chain holding him creaks and moans against the wooden beam in the ceiling.
