Hello, everyone. I've heard good things about y'all and am looking forward to running you through this campaign. Realize that, due to the nature of the PbP format, we're looking at several years real-time. One of my other campaigns is approaching the 2yr mark and is almost 1/3 of the way through the AP. Of course, that means we'll have plenty of time for fun. :-)

As I get things put together, I'd like to learn a little about each of you. What do you like/dislike about the Pathfinder ruleset? What's your favorite class and why? Have you attended any gaming conventions? What's your time zone? That sort of thing. Also, let me know if you've played "Skull & Shackles" before and, if not, your level of familiarity with the plot.

For myself, I started playing Pathfinder in 2012 right as Reaper launched their first Bones Kickstarter. I quickly fell in love with the game and eventually became a two-star PFS GM. I've also GM'd for a couple local conventions. As I gained experience, I eventually left PFS as I found the "run as written" rule and large amount of houserules too restrictive. I have no issues with Organized Play - it's just not my cup of tea.

Since then, I've fallen in love with the PbP format and am currently running a half-dozen games on these boards. I play by the rules (as-written and as-intended) but am always willing to work within their framework if players have cool ideas that aren't explicitly covered. Want to pull a Legolas and ride a shield down a flight of stairs while firing arrows? I'll work out an appropriate skill check and let certain Archery or Mounted Combat feats apply, for example.

Other things of note: I'm married and live in the Orlando, Florida area. I work in the public school system, so my schedule is rather limited but can guarantee daily posting (usually in the evening). As I've heard everyone enjoys a large amount of character interaction, that should work out well for you. I'm an avid collector of miniature and pledged in two of the three Bones Kickstarters. My favorite class is the Wizard, although I also enjoy DEX-based Monks (chained) and Ninjas. Rules-wise, I dislike the static nature of most forms of melee combat. On the other hand, I love the various Style Feats and the Parry/Riposte mechanic.

Okay, enough about me, here's the stuff you've been waiting for.

Character Crunch:
Allowed Races: Core + Elemental-kin, Aasimar, Tiefling, Catfolk, Vishkanya, Tengu, Grippli (some 3PP races may be allowed upon GM approval)
Allowed Classes: Core, Base (except for Gunslinger), Alternate, Hybrid
Archetypes are allowed (and the Bolt Ace makes the Gunslinger legal)
Unchained classes: Rogues are allowed, Summoners/Barbarians are not, Monks get all good saves.

Realize that certain classes will not be a good fit for this campaign. Paladins and mount-centric classes in particular. Also, as-written, there's no support for the Ninja or Samurai, but that's a simple fix.

20pt buy
2 traits (one can be a campaign trait, but it's not required)
HP: max at first level, then PFS-style thereafter (half HD +1)
Starting wealth: 150gp (list equipment separately, as you may not be starting with all of it)
All alignments are allowed except Lawful Stupid, Chaotic Stupid, and Neutral Apathetic (realize that certain alignments are not a good fit for this campaign)

I'm a huge fan of 3PP and have a fairly large selection. Most things from Spheres of Power are allowed, and I will probably rebuild several NPCs to use the system. The "Swordmaster" base class from Dreadfox Games is also allowed and may show up on an NPC or two, as is Super Genius Games' "Time Thief". If there's a different class you're interested in, just ask.

In addition to the crunch, I'd like a picture or physical description of your PC and a brief backstory. Remember that Level One PCs are just beginning their careers and aren't epic heroes yet. Stopping armies and soloing dragons isn't something you're capable of doing yet. Short, sweet, and simple are best - I don't have time to read a full-length novel. Mainly, I want to know who you are, what you do, what your personality's like, and what you're doing in the Shackles. The (possibly subconscious) desire to become a pirate is going to be important too: it's kind of the point of this AP. ;-)

This post has gone on long enough, so let's get started!

Woohoo!

This is my (Odentin) character. I'll work on porting her statblock into her profile here tomorrow some time. She was originally built for a game that never got off the ground, and another that did the same, and then finally got into one that quickly died.

Q&A Time!
What I like/dislike in PF is hard to pin down, though Vancian casting is annoying (not that SoP is any better IMHO). My favorite class varies, though I tend to prefer character to class. Cop-out answer, I know. Sorry. :P
I've been to A-Kon 2014 (not a gaming con, I know) where we spent a few hours in the TTRPG hall. I've played an S&S game that lasted through the first day before dying, and I read through your S&S game before.

I'm in Texas, so Central time. Married, with a 3 month old child.

I do have 2 questions about character generation:
1. Traits. Can we take a drawback in order to take a third Trait?
2. Considering that, mechanically, they are the exact same weapon, would you allow Dervish Dance to be used with a cutlass?

1) Only if the drawback is something that will come up regularly. I typically don't allow them but am willing to make an exception in this case.

2) The Dervish Dance feat has heavy thematic connection to a sect of Sarenrite zealots. Instead, I'll allow Slashing Grace to give DEX-to-hit in addition to its stated benefits. Same effect, different pre-reqs.

Works for me!

Greetings and Salutations,

I am Enoich, one of the members of this merry gang of misfits and I was intrigued by certain things and did have some basic ideas to toss your way. Now outside of Tamesis, I do not know the rest of the party, so non-specific skill focuses and the like are unknown, but I sort of fell in love with the Griplli. This is probably because I have a running history of playing small characters who are the oddballs of the group, like a Jawa Grenadier from one of our Star Wars games.

As for actual questions: I grew up on PbP roleplay, although I never got involved in Dungeons and Dragons until about five years ago. I currently live in Sunny Southern California with its raising property taxes, struggling to keep up with rent and trying to get an education while selling plants to people.

I have developed burn-out in other games, but I find that mostly due to having WAY too many posts to make. A single game seems easily doable. I also really enjoy roleplaying and writing in general, so I tend to be a little... flouncy with my language.

My favorite class is probably the 3.5 Beguiler class. Anything that blends Thief and Mage seems rather cool to me and I would have done really well if I hadn't gotten glomped by an Ooze with faster movement speed than a Gnome... Grumble.

Anyway, my character. I will definitely post a statblock, but I will likely spend a couple days planning out everything. In the mean time, I have a question or two of my own.

1: Will any Alternate Racial Trait be allowed? I was considering picking up Princely and playing him as some sort of scion of a Grippli Chieftain, seeking something worthy that he can improve the tribe, even if it is a boatload of gold.

2: Is there anything important about this race I have to learn from a lore background? I realize they are sort of insular and generally contained in bogs and swamps, but if there's anything I can learn, let me know.

Hope to get to game soon,
Enoich

Hello!

Once I get around to figuring out how to work with the profiles and such on the Paizo boards I'll make up a profile for whatever character I'll go with. Probably an Unchained Rogue since that is something I've been wanting to try out.

Also you'd be the second DM of mine from Orlando, where I was born and raised. :P

Let's see if I can't answer some of these questions. I've played tabletop games for about 15 years now with varying frequency, starting with Neverwinter Nights (not tabletop, but that was the spark). Played Dungeons & Dragons of various editions including AD&D 2e, D&D 3e, 3.5e, 4e, 5e. Several Pathfinder games, a few of which I was actually able to complete. A few Shadowrun games, all of which fell apart. Exalted, a few World of Darkness games (Changeling and Vampire), Mutants & Masterminds, RoleMaster Fantasy RPG, Dark Heresy, Deathwatch, Rogue Trader, Only War, the Final Fantasy RPG, Eclipse Phase, Star Wars, and probably a few others that aren't coming to mind.

My favorite class depends on the system, but I love playing Wizards. I'm fond of the versatility that they can attain in addition to the magical might and party utility from creation feats and knowledge checks. If I'm not playing a Wizard, I generally go for the strength-based POWER OVERWHELMING type of character that just refuses to die, like my Rogue Trader Arch Militant or any Paladin.

Nothing quite says "POWER OVERWHELMING" like splitting a tank-sized mutant rat-that-bleeds-rats in half with a blessed thunder hammer, setting it on fire and riding the two flaming halves through a barricade like a morbid pair of rollerskates all while chugging along in stupid strong power armor and firing the equivalent of tank shells out of a heavy bolter minigun.

I generally play good-aligned characters and generally dislike playing with an evil (or CN) character in the party due to bad previous experiences but I can deal. I'm an extremely patient person.

I have not attended any gaming conventions yet (closest is A-KON with Odentin), I have no experience with S&S beyond making a character for one game that didn't start and reading up on lore on the area the game is set in, my PbP experience is limited, and I do not yet enjoy long walks on the beach.

Time zone is the same as Odentin, Central (CST).

Is nice to meet both of you. :-)

@Enoich: Alternate Racial Traits are definitely allowed. I'm a fan of customization. Lore-wise, there isn't much out there on Grippli beyond what you already know. They're frog-people. Eat bugs, do disturbing things with your tongue, and generally be weird. Should be loads of fun. :-)

@Bladecutter: Versatility is always great, and I love the Wizard's ability to easily bypass many problems by casting the perfect situational spell. Unkillable tanks are also fun. Realize that you'll be forced to interact with a great many Evil and CN individuals in this campaign. The eventual goal of this campaign is to take over the Shackles and rule as pirate kings. The Players Guide comes very close to outright banning Paladins for this AP. There's no baby-eating or orphanage-burning, but looting, pillaging, and other acts of piracy are expected throughout. Of course, being the constantly-frustrated Moral Compass is an awesome trope, too. ;-)

No.

Hullo YBD, nice to meet you.

These guys call me Vi, comparatively I have not been gaming very long. I started consistently playing around 3 years ago with this group and have stuck around since then. I've only played 2 pathfinder campaigns and one ended abruptly so I'm sure there's much I've yet to learn about it. I don't really have a favourite class, but I hate wizards. So much.

I very much enjoy the role playing, story telling, and character interaction aspects of the game. I have done PbP once, many years ago with several preteens who didn't know how to spell or read previous posts. However, I'm excited about this game because I already know these people are good people and Oden tells me you are a great GM. I have zero familiarity with the Skull and Shackles plot or world.

I have not attended any gaming conventions but I do go to many comic/anime conventions as they provide a significant portion of my income. Because of this every couple months or so I will be unavailable for a 3-4 day stretch to post anything. I'm on mountain time, currently MDT until November when it changes to MST. My schedule is almost always in the air, allowing me to slot time for things like this before anything hits the ground.

For my character:
Male Undine, bright blue skin, pale blue eyes, very dark blue almost black very luxurious hair, kissable abs.

I'm not sure about class yet but I do like ranged. He grew up in a brothel with many 'aunts', now wants to travel the world, and go on adventures instead of just hearing about them from various travelers/customers. Likes high quality glamourous items, likes to look good, very fond of material possessions.

Once I've decided a class I'll make another post with la numbers~

Hey Vi! If you like ranged, Zen Archer Monk is amazing. ;)

I got Tamesis all ported over from her Myth Weavers sheet. The link is still there and will still be kept updated. But, yay! I'm ready to start!

It's nice to meet you, Vi. If I may ask, what do you do at conventions? My wife's a big anime fan, and there are a few series that I enjoy as well. Undines are awesome, by the way. When I played S&S, I was a xenophobic Undine Druid. As Tamesis says, Zen Archers make amazing ranged characters, but Inquisitors, Rangers, and Hunters do the job very well, too. It makes me sad that you hate Wizards, but we can work on that. ;-)

Has everyone checked in? Odentin told me we'd have four players but mentioned a possible fifth.

Hey there folks. Since we currently have four players, I was considering bringing in one of my coworkers in on this. He's a more experienced tabletop player than myself but is mostly familiar with 3.5 as opposed to pathfinder. I realize your issue with sudden player bailing so I will inform him of all of that. However, I would lile your opinion YBD, Do you think a smaller party would be preferable and does it start to lag with five or more players? I'd just like to get your two cents before I officially invite him.

The fifth member I had mentioned has decided not to join us.

The one Enoich mentions is someone else entirely.

No.

At conventions I dress up and sell my sculpture work. Mostly tentacles, some original work.

I am tempted by the Zen archer...

I can attest to Zen archer being satisfying. Although the first two levels can be annoying.

I made me an alias for my character. Decided on a Sylph Sorcerer. Also this is Bladecutter. I got a link to the sheet and picture in the profile and a small stat block.

You just had a bad experience because our GM refused to give you any access to arrows, and you couldn't afford any. :P

With 150gp starting, it's easy to afford a proper longbow and some arrows.

@Enoich: For the moment, I'd prefer to stick with a small party. It means I won't have to worry too much about rebalancing encounters and modifying loot. It will also keep the game moving quicker, as PbPs tend to slow down in combat situations. Less people posting means shorter rounds. If things go well, I'll consider bringing in your friend at a later date, as there are numerous opportunities during the first several levels.

@Vi: That's quite awesome, actually. My wife likes the Bulbasaur necklace (she's a huge Pokemon fan). Do you do anything with the various Eeveelutions? Let me know if you're ever at one of the Florida cons. :-) In terms of ranged classes, Zen Archer is best for sheer numbers of arrows. They don't do quite as much damage per shot as, for example, a smiting Archer Paladin, but at high levels, they're essentially machine-gun turrets. Realize that the required Lawful alignment (unless you take a specific Aasimar-only trait) will make things difficult for you. Pirates tend to be Chaotic, although there are ways to make it work. Should be fun. :-)

@Airy: I've always liked the Tattooed Sorcerer archetype. It's very flavorful - especially if you're familiar with Golarion lore.

Everyone: To simplify things for me, I'll put up a template for your character sheets. Myth-weavers is a good resource, but I'll want the majority of your crunch clearly visible on your profiles. I'll explain more once we get a little closer to starting: I'm still doing behind-the-scenes campaign prep.

Sure thing, I put all relevant information in to my profile now, including a picture under the Appearance and Personality section. I'll have to get to the personality and background later on, I'll probably think about that while I'm at work, but everything's otherwise done.

I've been wanting to try out a tattoed sorcerer for a while but never got around to playing one since I've been rocking wizards for a good while. I figure now'd be a great time for it! I'm usually playing humans though, so a Sylph will be an interesting change.

Thanks for letting me know about your opinion. I let my friend know and if we are taking more people, I think he would be eager to try.

First Question: Will retraining be a thing? While I don't necessarily plan on retraining any feats/hexes/etc, If I find I just loathe my decision, I want to know whether or not there will be some means to redevelop myself.

Second Question: I know you wanted appropriate drawbacks that will actually come into play and be applicable to warrant getting an extra trait and I have a few that I'd like to run by you.

#1: Unlearned (Arcana), as a reflection of the character's overfocus on spiritual matters, he has absolutely no knowledge of the principles and use of Arcane magic performed by other classes, thinking it as merely another channeling of the spirits to a different whim. Regardless, I am going to play the character out like this, but having the drawback will just fortify the general naivete.

#2: Power Hungry, in his history I will post with his data, much of his motivation involves proving his worth by finding ancient remnants and treasure of his peoples. This motivator for glory and greed compels the character extremely and the idea of mental manipulations offering the solution to his problems would be notably effective, especially on a character with a particularly strong willpower.

If you'd like to know, the extra trait I would like to get would be Reactionary, partially because its amazing and otherwise because the other traits are less important for proper crowd control

Please let me know which drawback, if either, seem appropriate, or if you need to see his history to determine for sure.

@Prince Likitt: Retraining will be available, but if it's just because you're hating a particular aspect of your character, I'll more-than-likely let you change it with no cost. For example, I always offer a one-time no-cost complete character rebuild during the first level or two, as sometimes a class/feat/etc sounds awesome but ends up not working as originally thought. Regarding drawbacks, I'd prefer something more along the lines of Power-Hungry, as that one has an actual mechanical drawback. In my experience, characters don't make untrained knowledge checks - especially if there's someone else in the party who'd be better-suited to attempt them.

I just have to say, I love how smooth chargen goes with a group that knows each other. Better synergy, quicker and smoother polish. I mean, player-wise, only Vi isn't already done, and she's arguably the busiest one of us players.

HP: 9/9 | AC: 16; T: 16; FF: 13; CMD: 13 | Fort: +2; Ref: +5; Will: +5 | Init: +3 ; Perc: +7 Undine Monk Zen Archer

Yeah character creation is not a thing I'm good at since I've only done it a handful of times before. Takes long time, but I have started a profile. Also I kind of went a few days without doing any reno work and now I've got to finish that before Thursday when I'm leaving la city for the con this weekend or tenant moving in is going to be unhappy. Also got some inventory to restock. Sleep is for the weak.

@YBD: thanks to you and your wife! I make all the eeveelutions into pendants regularly as they are more popular pokemon. Unfortunately I do not plan to go to any more international cons in the foreseeable future, overhead cost is too high. And for the US every state has inefficient, infuriating, convoluted processes to obtain the merchant tax ID. A year later, Comptroller of Texas still calls me for an account I've closed twice.

I'm going to be an everything green Zen Archer Monk Lawful Neutral lives by his own code like captain hook with no hook Undine named Velvet because he is so luxurious! Super smooth! All his aunts have named themselves after different breeds of goldfish! Aunt Celestial! Aunt Veiltail! Aunt Bubble Eye! I am excited, yes. He will sail the oceans to get many shiny things because shiny things are the most sparkly things and provide the most glamour.

Also this is Vi.

No.

Oh I didn't mean it was a thing that was bad, just confirming your statement and giving you a little background on the why it is the way it is. Statblock work go!

Any and all Alternate Racial Traits are acceptable. :-)

Hello there. I'm the fifth player that Odentin initially mentioned, and I wanted to check in about a couple of things.

The reasons I decided not to join initially are that I've got some all-consuming professional and personal commitments to deal with in under a week, and my past experience with PbP RP - but not RPG - has been coloured by attrition.

So, I'd like to try but there are those complications. It looks like a fifth player isn't wanted just now, though. Would I be right in this? If so, would it be possible to join later once the four-player core is established and the campaign's going smoothly?

I'd say it depends on how long your real-life stuff will take to resolve. If it's relatively quick, we can hold off until you're ready. Otherwise, I'll mark you as a potential addition later on (like with Enoich's co-worker). I can run the AP for up to six people with minimal changes but want to make sure the game gets off the ground smoothly and that everyone will stick around before I start adding more players.

I'll have time to begin daily posts as of Sunday night, 27 September. If that's quick enough, I can make a character before then for approval.

Go right ahead. :-) I was planning to start the game early next week, so that will work out perfectly.

YBD here. You have two options for your character sheets. This is the first one.

HP: 187/187 | AC: 26; T: 17; FF: 21; CMD: 28 | Fort: +19; Ref: +19; Will: +18 (+4 vs illusions) | Int: +17 (forewarned); Perc: +22+1d8 (+4 vs traps)

Advanced Sylph Incanter 9//Skirmishing Scout Striker //Battered Detective Empiricist 8 (Archmage/Genius 4)

Or you can use the full HeroLab profile as seen here.

The MythWeavers layout confuses me, and I can't view it at work. Put spoilers in the Race/Class/Gender sections of your profile as shown in the two examples as well. It'll make it easier for me to check certain things during gameplay. Once everyone's done, I'll start audits.

HP: 5/10 | AC: 13; T: 13; FF: 11; CMD: 10 | Fort: +1; Ref: +2; Will: +6 | Int: +4; Perc: +9
Daily Abilities:
Wave Strike 5/5; Lv.0: Daze; Create Water; Touch of Fatigue; Lv.1 Hydraulic Push 1/1; Cure Light Wounds 0/1; Cause Fear 0/1;
Grippli Shaman 1

I rather enjoyed the latter option for the character sheet, but I imagine it would be the most beneficial if we all keep the same structure. If everyone prefers the first Character Sheet, I will not object.

I almost forgot two other things. First, if you're a prepared caster, jot down what spells you've prepped somewhere on your profile for easy taking. Second, don't forget that you don't apply any bonuses from equipment yet. I want to audit your characters gearless because ... reasons. ;-)

Excellent; much appreciated.

For the run-down on me: I've been playing D&D since about 2001, and Pathfinder since about 2009. Most of my experience has been in online play, using chatrooms, MapTools, and Roll20. I enjoy PF overall, but I'm not a fan of Vancian casting (less of an issue beyond L10) or classes without dynamic combat abilities. Neither of those issues lead me to love or hate certain classes, but I tend to avoid traditionally-built Wizards and Fighters. I know about Skull and Shackles insofar as what the players' section of the AP say, having made a character for a potential run that fell through.

I'm currently on Eastern Standard Time, but as of 7 October will be operating on Mountain Standard Time. I don't really do gaming conventions; professional conventions are more my thing (I'm in archives, libraries, general records/information/etc. work).

Most likely I'll be posting up a Brawler soon, with a brief backstory.

HP: 9/9 | AC: 16; T: 16; FF: 13; CMD: 13 | Fort: +2; Ref: +5; Will: +5 | Init: +3 ; Perc: +7 Undine Monk Zen Archer

Yo, I started putting a character sheet in my profile, almost done just need vitals as shown in the Gender section of the first template. For skills I just listed everything with a non-zero bonus. Let me know of any errors or missed info and I will correct or update my profile as soon as possible.

I do have a convention and will be unavailable this weekend as well as much of the Friday and Monday.

Gotta grout now, cheers.

Hey YBD! So, we just so happen to have a Skype group that includes everyone in the group (it's currently in use for the game I run) and no one else. If you'd like, you're free to join us! My Skype name is the same as this one. Just add me if you wanna be in on the fun.

HP: 9/9 | AC: 16; T: 16; FF: 13; CMD: 13 | Fort: +2; Ref: +5; Will: +5 | Init: +3 ; Perc: +7 Undine Monk Zen Archer

YBD! Can there be a really nice brothel (companion house?) in whatever town we are starting in called the "Goldfish House"? Because I want Velvet to have grown up then worked there and have all the employees have stage names after breeds of goldfish.

And also I can say Velvet met Airy there many times when she wanted to pay someone listen to her excitedly go on about her day.

And possibly know other PCs from there if other players want to.

Hey can I?

PS: Velvet's stage name could be Telescope. Or Lionhead.

HP: 33/33 | AC: 21; T: 21; FF: 10; CMD: 23 | Fort: +5; Ref: +5; Will: +4 | Init: +4; Perc: +7 | Effects: None

Lv.2 Cat's Grace 1/1 | Molten Orb 1/1 Lv.1 Snowball 4/4 | True Strike 1/1 | Lv.0 Prestidigitation | Detect Magic | Jolt
Tiefllng Eldritch Archer Kensai Magus

Tamesis' profile is complete and ready for audit.

HP: 5/10 | AC: 13; T: 13; FF: 11; CMD: 10 | Fort: +1; Ref: +2; Will: +6 | Int: +4; Perc: +9

Grippli Shaman 1

Prince Likitt's Profile is hopefully ready for audit. Be gentle.

HP: 9/9 | AC: 16; T: 16; FF: 13; CMD: 13 | Fort: +2; Ref: +5; Will: +5 | Init: +3 ; Perc: +7 Undine Monk Zen Archer

I'm ready for audit! I will not have reliable computer access until Monday evening, but I still have a phone so I should be fine.

@Velvet: You can totally be from that brothel. It's an awesome name. :-) Audit-wise, you currently have a 26pt buy. You'll need to decrease an attribute or two. Your AC is correct, but please add "+3 Monk" to the expanded AC breakdown for clarity. CMB should be +1, CMD should be 17. Which skills did you put ranks in? Do something to indicate which skills you put ranks in. Maybe bold them or put a * next to them.

@Tamesis: CMB should be +0. Fort Save should be +1. Which skills did you put ranks in? Your to-hit with the Cutlass should be +3. Where's the DR coming from? However, I'm most interested in the choker of mage armor. Is it a custom item? If so, explain the formula you used to make it. I'm not opposed to custom items, but by my reckoning, that choker should cost at least 375gp.

------------------------------------------------

I'll continue audits later. It's movie time with the wifey. :-)

The Skype thing sounds cool, by the way. I'm almost never on, but I'm sure that we'll have a chat at some point during the course of this campaign. :-)

HP: 33/33 | AC: 21; T: 21; FF: 10; CMD: 23 | Fort: +5; Ref: +5; Will: +4 | Init: +4; Perc: +7 | Effects: None

Weapon Finesse adds Dex to CMB for most Combat Maneuvers, unless they changed that somewhere.

Fort should actually be 3. 2 base, 1 stat. Changed now.

I only put down skills where I have ranks or a special mod (everything but Bluff has a rank in it).

My to-hit with the cutlass is correct. Until I get to level 3 and get Slashing Grace, I only get my Weapon Focus bonus.

I rolled for DR when I first made the character. Gave up the SLA for it. Wanted the swim speed, but whatevs.

The Choker is indeed a custom item, also made a while ago. It's a command word, CL 1, spell level 1. 1800*1*1=1800. Then charged (50)-1/2 price-and charges per day (Divide by (5 divided by charges per day)). 1800/2/5=180. Half the charges are gone, so 180/2=90gp.

Edit: Hey, I know it's a weird request, but I think most of us at least have our characters' personalities nailed down. Any chance we could start a "session 0" in the tavern the night before? :D

HP: 5/7 | AC: 13; T: 13; FF: 10; CMD: 12 | Fort: +0; Ref: +3; Will: +2 | Init: +5; Perc: +0
Spells Per Day:
Level 1 5/5
Female Sylph Sorcerer 1

All right, I think I'm set for audit. I accidentally became a Varisian gypsy.

FYI I only included skills I put ranks in.

EDIT: Also FYI, you probably know this but just in case not, a kapenia is a scarf Varisians make to show their family lineage that they get when they reach maturity. I dropped my last 3 SP on it. (Inner Sea World Guide pg 22, paragraph 4.)

@Tamesis: You're somewhat mixing Weapon Finesse with Agile Maneuvers. The latter changes your CMB. The former only applies if you're using a weapon that's finessable (or an unarmed strike) to perform the maneuver. A subtle distinction, but an important one. Thanks for the heads-up on your Cutlass to-hit. I don't normally play Slashing Grace users and forgot that it's normally a nonfinessible weapon. I'm not a fan of the "rolling for alternate traits" for Aasimars and Tieflings - especially when it's not rolled in this specific thread. I'd appreciate it if you change it back. The choker's fine (but make sure to add it to the "daily abilities and spells" spoiler), but please run custom items by me in the future. I'm pretty flexible with them but may veto things on occasion for various reasons.

@Airy: A player in one of my other campaigns is playing a Varisian with a kapenia. It's a fascinating culture. :-)

I'll audit Prince Likitt and Airy next, but it will probably be Saturday before I do so. After work tomorrow, I'll be at Disney with the wife until quite late and will have almost no time to do any posting. As long as there are minimal changes to made, I'll hopefully be able to check you out during my work break, but that depends on how nice the school firewall decides to be tomorrow.

EDIT: I enjoy "Session Zero" and typically include one in my online campaigns. Since PbP standards here involve open recruitments where the GM chooses from a large pool of prospective PCs, I like to set up a tavern so people have something to do while they wait for a final decision. It also gives me a sense of everyone's posting/roleplaying style. Check the Gameplay thread in a few minutes. ;-)

I'm happy to change it back, though there are some cool options there. Any chance I could roll in here and see what I get? If not, it's cool. You've been more than accommodating so far. Sorry for being difficult.

Choker will be added momentarily.

@Tamesis: Negative on the alternate trait, I'm afraid. If you really don't want the SLA, feel free to swap it out for "Maw of Claw" or "Soul Seer."
