It may take me a bit to put the initial post up. I want to give the new people time to respond, plus I'm currently running my RL Jade Regent game.

Hi everyone, looking forward to joining in. I'll just level up to 2nd and get my gear purchased. Should we be familiar with each other at this point or are we going to meet up in game?

Shade Psion 18

Let's get this ball rolling. It's mostly taken from my other S&S game.

We're rewinding just a bit to keep Avakor out of the game. He'll be staying on the Wormwood when you cross over to the Man's Promise.

Day 22 - 23 Sarenith 4712

The party winds down, with pirates stumbling up onto deck at the sound of the ship's clock, the haunting bells of the Wormwood's clock resonating through the wood of the ship.

As the crew assembles, the rahadoumi prisoners are paraded in front of everyone. Captain Harrigan addresses them first.

"Any of you lot willing to sign on as a pirate and ply the sweet trade in the merchant lanes, rather than rot? If so, step forward and take your place amongst the Wormwood's crew."

Several of the rahadoumi step forward. Master Scourge cuts their bindings with a dagger and they take their place amongst the crew of the Wormwood with the rest of you.

Captain Harrigan turns to address the crew now, "All right, you scurvy tars! You’ve done a right good job by me. We’ve got a second ship now, and she’s quite a prize from the looks of her, but I still have only one crew. So here’s the plan: the Wormwood will sail on to our planned destination with our new shipmates here, while Mr. Plugg will pick a skeleton crew to sail the Man’s Promise to Port Peril, where she’ll be worth a pretty penny as salvage. As for these fine fellows here," Harrigan gestures at the remainder of the captured ship’s crew, "some of them will no doubt be worth a hefty ransom from their families back in Azir." He pauses for a moment and turns to look at the remaining captives, "But for the rest, if the life of a pirate’s not for them, they can spend the rest of their lives at sea!"

Harrigan glances over towards the mast for a moment, before pulling his blade and stalking over to the rahadoumi captives. He selects one of them, seemingly at random, and plunges the blade through her gut before shoving the woman off the blade and the deck. The unforunate sailor screams as she hits the water and quickly sinks beneath the waves.

Sense Motive DC 15:
Harrigan was looking at the ship's clock on the mast, almost as if checking it were in sight.

The rest of the rahadoumi rush to pledge themselves to Harrigan, while the rahadoumi officers are led back below decks, likely to be ransomed off later. Mister Plugg and Master Scourge begin picking through the crew, pulling aside those that they choose to take with them, while Riaris Krine starts to hand out tasks to others.

Master Scourge sneers as her passes down the line with each of you. "You lot are on th' Promise with th' rest o' us. You got ten minutes by th' reckonin' of th' ship's clock ta get your things and be on th' Promise. Any later and I'll beat you bloody!" He cackles and walks off.

By your reckoning, you can see that most of the Wormwood's original crew is going over to the Man's Promise. Other than Plugg and Scourge, Fishguts is the only officer that is leaving the Wormwood.

Immediately upon boarding, you're beset with commands to ready the ship for departure. It takes a good half hour to get the lines in order and make the ship ready for sail. When the Man's Promise is ready, the planks and lines are pulled free and the two ships separate. Mister Plugg gives orders and Master Scourge shouts them to the rest of the crew, applying his whip when he feels someone isn't moving fast enough. After the ships part a reasonable distance, Plugg has everyone gathered together. The only one missing is Owlbear, who's chained up again in the upper hold. It's now that Four Skulls and Jove notice that Avakor isn't present.

Taken from Faol Mhor's game.

Crew Roster of the Man's Promise:

Mister Plugg
Master Scourge
Owlbear
Maheem
Slippery Syl Lonegan
Jaundiced Jape
Aretta Bansion
Four new Rahadoumi Sailors
"Ratline" Ratsberger
Barefoot Samms
Sandara Quinn
Rosie Cusswell
Ambrose "Fishguts" Kroop
Conchobhar Shortstone
Badger Medlar
Gan Laccaran imprisoned in the bilges with three others
Four Skulls
Jove Sirocco

"I'm not as forgiving or nice as Captain Harrigan. We've two weeks of sailing to get back to port in Port Peril, and I expect no slacking off! If your caught, it's the cat for you!" He turns to Master Scourge and nods, "Assign their tasks and get them about to it!" Master Scourge grins, "Of course, sir!" He passes out the day's jobs, saving the worst and most despicable for your group, mainly working in the bilges or manning the mainsail.

Night eventually comes around, but there is no entertainment to be found. Supper and rum are given, but once finished, everyone, save for Aretta, Jape, Maheem, Syl, and a few of the rahadoumi that were brought on board, are ordered below decks. "No foolin' around! Get ta' sleep and rest up for tomorrow!" Scourge commands.

Conchobhar is pissed. The angry gnome looks around at the rest of you, "I'll be damned if I do nothing but work, sleep, and eat!" He looks around, "Anyone up for a game? Anything?! We'll keep it down here with just a little light. Nice and secret like." A few others grumble about the happenings above and join Conchobhar in a quiet game of cards.

For those imprisoned in the bilges:

It's hot, but dank and dark down here. The cobwebs of bilge spiders hang overhead, almost completely covering the ceiling. The fist sized spiders stare down at you all impassively.

There are four of you here: a one-handed man, a tian woman, an ulfen man with a heavily scarred throat, and a solid shoanti man.

The three newcomers to the game saw Gan, the one-handed man get dragged down into here and locked into his shackles shortly after the sounds of combat stopped.

Bilge buddies:

After I am good and shackled up I look over to the others impassioned. Hey." I say rather sarcastically.

What you see before is a man whose been through hell. I have a very rugged appearance and look to be amused but also quite annoyed at the same time.

I sit there musing over the stump that was once my right hand. As I examine it I wince every so often. "Price you pay for not following through. If I ever get another shot at the man I am going all out with it." I lean forward and continue to talk, more to myself than anyone else. "A ship and it's crew were never meant to be treated that way. Captain has a lot of strength but that's it. His crew ain't loyal, most of em are slaves who want him dead, and he's going to have to continue to replace crewmen until he replaces that scurvy sucking dog first mate of his. No way to treat a crew."

I lean back against the wall. "If I ever get another shot, I won't waste it." I peer around as if suddenly realizing there are others present. "Your an interesting lot. I'm down here for puttin a hole in Harrigan's favorite shirt with my gun. Whatch ye in for?" I sit casually awaiting their answer.

DM:

I am a little confuse. So there were no party in the first night when the two ships were tied together, Plugg did not gave us that threatening look when choosing us, we did not have that meeting with Avakor where we all decide to mutiny AND I did not slept with Grok?! Man that last part sucks! I spend quite a while trying to get into that girl's pants to win an officer to my side lol.
And we are not mutinying anymore... :(

By the looks of it our situation have become even worst. Better clean up my act. Four Skulls tosses away his run when no on is looking. Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
He joins the card game more for the company than the actual game. At the table he wispers to no one in particular.
Damn, I get a feeling we were better off at the Wormwood.

Shade Psion 18

I apologize. It should be Day 23 - 24 Sarenith 4712. Slight mess up on the dates. The party lasted the rest of the day and through the next night.

Four Skulls:
The party happened. Nope, Master Scourge came to pick you. Mister Plugg ain't gonna waste time on you all. The meeting hasn't happened yet, we've re-wound before it, but don't worry. Yes, you did sleep with Grok. I can't do it now, but I'll pitch you a special scene tonight.

Noche'Wa looks in silence at the newcomers, his eyes going back to his stump from time to time, visibly impressed by the wound. He gathers his traditional cloak around his massive amber shoulders as he bends closer, his emerald eyes digging deep in the man, is stony jaw clenched as he almost spits out his words: "You are with them then... You're the same kind that captured me and put me here! A Man's Promise! What nonsense. Man should not be locked. Man should be free. I don't know this Harrigan. Is he the new captain? It seems the one-handed man is wounded.
A red-haired woman closes up to you, as she smiles you can see her fang teeth are a little pointed and there seems to be something foxish about her.

Now, now, did someone get hurt there for being too rash at the wrong time? Maybe you should make sure next time the others thin the same way you do before. What´s your name? Mine is Ayaki Hu, but they call me the red fox. Now hold still so i can help you, i can´t grow that hand back though.

With these words the woman lays the palm of her hand on your forehead and begins a singsang, which makes you feel better.

Bilge Buddies:

Spoiler:
The Ulfen man listens impassively, squatting off to the side in salt-stained breeches. His fair skin is reddened by the sun, a network of old scars popping livid white from his hide. He's not a tall man, but he gives the impression of solidity. Both arms are twined with tattoos of serpentine dragon-like creatures and crashing waves. When he speaks, it's garbled and almost incoherent.

"Sluhvuhs guht muh uhn Puht Puhruh. Huhd uh nuhm... 'Svuhj'."
He shrugs.
"Puhzzed suhmuhn uhv uh guz."

Bilge Buddies:
Noche'Wa looks at the man, calming down. He recognizes Skald, but has never bothered to learn it. "Don't you at least speak the Common tongue? You speak Skald. Are you from the North? I am Shoanti, from the Cinderland. What's going to happen to us?"

Spoiler:
He shakes his head, pointing to his lips.
"Thuhz... Uhz... Cuhmuhn.", he says slowly, enunciating each syllable. Looking at his lips he is indeed pronouncing Common.
The Ulfen draws a finger across his throat along the puckered scar then slaps a hand across his mouth.
"Uh'm fuhm duh Nuhth. Wuh uhthuh uhzcuhp...", he says, pointing to his chains, then pulling it over a knee in a breaking motion,"... uh duh suhll uhz...", he rubs two fingers together- money,"...uh wuh duh." he finishes, again making a throat slitting motion.

Bilge Buddies:

I simply chuckle at the Shaonti. "I need to introduce you to your kinsman Four Skulls. Ye both er from the same nation but have vastly different views on life. Make for a great show it would."

Ayaki speaks and then heals me. "Sometimes it takes someone doing something foolish to get others to think. People who think a like aren't common until they've all seen the same things. My crew was too scared to act in their defense. I wasn't. Came down to damned if you do and damned if you dont. I took a stand and somehow I survived to fight again. Count my blessing were I can. At least this way I'm finally off that blasted ship."

I smile as Ayaki assists me. "Thanks Milady, Ayaki was it? Can I call you Foxy?" I chuckle. "I'm sorry, just a joke. Gotta keep my spirits up but not at the expense of a lovely lady. Anyways, I am Gan Laccaran. One of the best sailors on both boats....and the most reckless some would say. I was a slave of Captain Harrigan, a ruthless, cruel, and incompetent pirate. Also, strong enough to maks others see his point of view whether they want to or not. He conquered the ship we are on now and is sending the four of off to be sold as slaves. Nothing new for me, but it's not a life I plan to have forever. First chance I get I will escape to the sea. I'll find my own ship and forge my own crew, a strong crew, a crew who will enjoy working for me. We will grow strong together and make a name for ourselves. A name so famous, Harrigan may one day seek me out and we can finish what we started." I seem almost fascinated by the prospect. I smile. "Growing is the first step."

I look to the barbarian. "Skald huh? Okay I got the Foxy girl's name is Ayaki but who are the rest of you and how'd you end up in the bilges of a ship like this?"

Bilge Buddies:
Noche'wa strains and can make very little of what the man says: "My pardons. I must have insulted you. It is Common you speak. I was just too blind to see it..."

As Gan explains their situation: "I will not be sold! I am Noche'Wa, and I will be free! You say others might follow you, but we are here, captives... I am ready to fight and die to get out of here, but what will happen once outside? Will the crew follow you?"

Bilge Buddies:

I chuckle at the Shaonti. "Fight and die huh? I like you. I think we will get along great cause that is the way I see it. I don't care if others follow me. I don't plan on dying a slave! I will not cower because someone has power. I will take my stand! I stood against my oppressor and by sheer luck I live to learn and grow and try again for my freedom. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger and my resolve has never been as strong as it is now."

I lean forward. "Listen, I have a few friends in the crew and if they are on board this ship, they will likely be willing to help us. I can understand their hesitance at first but hopefully soon they will see that I was right to make a stand. I don't plan to die a slave. I will die a free man. So what say you? Will you take the risk of dying if the reward is freedom? How much does freedom mean to you?" I await response.

At the fox girl's threat I sit back and chuckle. "I like a girl not afraid to bare her fangs. However, compared to the beast I just went one on one with, your nothing but a yapping pup. If you are in here with my then you are hardly my better. We all are going to have to get much stronger to face what is on these seas and survive."

At the words of Noche I smile. "Good. Cause there will only be only one chance. From what I understand that monster Captain Harrigan is not on this ship and it is heading to Port Peril. There is supposedly a skeleton crew under command of the most inept first mate Mr. Plugg and I bet you copper to platinum his lapdog Sourge is with him. Thing I have come to come to understand is not a lot of folks like Plugg because he has presumably caused the deaths of four crew members. Plugg is predictable. Over the course of our Voyage I have noticed he has been growing increasingly dissatisfied with his service to Harrigan and takes his anger out on the crew. The captain sends all his time locked away in his cabin and does not monitor the goings on around his ship. Then gets all pissed off when crew wind up dead. Plugg made me fight his pet brute, a beast of a man named Bugbear. I was winning the fight so Plugg gave the man a club, I still won. The part that got me worked up was when Plugg sent one of my friends to clean the bilges unarmed with two of his armed thugs. As me and my friends predicted, the two goons tried to kill the man. They had done in another fella earlier that week the same way. Even though we snuck in and saved him, he was blamed for the thugs deaths and was sentenced anyways. Too many good men have died under the poor leadership of Harrigan and his first mate Plugg. If the captain is out of the picture then Plugg may try something. He hates me and may not be satisfied with simply selling me as a slave. I fully expect him to attempt to take my life. I won't let him. As soon as he tries to do anything I plan to resist. I won't lie, it is a solid gamble that the others will back me up. Regardless of whether or not they back me up, I will fight. For now, I will see what is going on." I whistle Animal Trick: Come When Guinness comes I pet him with my remaining hand. "Hey there good buddy go up top and find the cranky Shaoti Skulls and see if he remembers you." I send Guinness out. Trick: Fetch, Seek, or Perform, whichever is appropriate. It'll be easier once he is made a familiar I sit back and relax.

DM:

I took a few story liberties by meshing Jove's former character's death as well as the attack on Felix in the bilges together. Not sure who fought Bugbear in your thread, but I felt it best to give Plugg a nasty reputation. Or if you hadn't planned on using any of that, we could simply say Gan is exaggerating the details to make Plugg look bad. Also anticipating Plugg's intention was also something I developed along the way and Gan was seeing too. Made the appropriate checks to figure it out. I am not familiar with the AP at all and do not know what Plugg is going to do, when we are even suppose to attempt a mutiny, if there is even going to be a mutiny, and so on. All the stuff I just spat out is speculation.

Also, I know it didn't look it but as far as I can tell, based off of rolls and interactions, I should also be close friends with Barefoot Samms and Fishguts the cook. Reasonable acquaintances with Sanadara and Rosie. I attempted to get on Syl's good side but I am not sure how that turned out. I'd like to think by bold behavior of late has impressed the crew somewhat but I leave that to you.

Just wanted to see how much stuff I am reading and believing actually applies. Correct me if I am misjudging anything.

Day 23 - 24 Sarenith 4712

Gan:
No worries about the liberties. I believe Jove's previous character fought Owlbear and was killed by Plugg's cronies in the bilges. Doesn't really matter though. Your recounting of events works for me. There's none of Jove's and mine's original crew to countermand it accidently, anyways. :)

I took a look at the sheet that GM Faol Mhor had up for the relationships, but there's nothing filled in there. As I really don't have the time at the moment to go fishing through the posts of the your game, I'm more than happy to go with what you've said about the personal friends Gan has made.

Jove:
You reach out with your connection to the winds and feel the slight breeze as it blows down from above. You listen to the whisper of the winds and find that...

The winds speak of a clear and bright day. For a moment you catch a glimpse of scattered clouds on a clear blue sky over an endless sea of calmly rolling water. The weather is going to be good sailing weather with a strong breeze, but clear and calm skies.

Bilge Buddies:
Guinness comes peeking down into the bilges through the trap door. It seems that the door must be in better condition than the one on the Wormwood. He scampers down to Gan and listens while the man gives the monkey directions. Afterwards, Guinness climbs back up the stairs leading into and out of the bilges and clambers back through the trapdoor.

Card Games:
Barefoot nods to Four Skulls after his comment about the change of accomdations, "Feels like we've jumped into a nest o' sharks." The rest of the assembled crew nods and grumble their agreement, even Badger.

Sandara, standing to one side, chimes in, "He wasn't in the group selected by Plugg and Scourge for some reason. Not really sure why, though. Maybe Harrigan wanted to keep a source of magical healin' aboard his ship." She shrugs.

Conchobhar throws down his hand as he wins the last round of the game. "Well, this talk certainly has taken a sour turn. Perhaps something more interesting will come up tomorrow. I'm going to get some rest before the terrible, back-breaking labor in store for us tomorrow." He gathers up the cards and the few coins he won and heads to a nearby locker to store them.

Four Skulls:
You get the general feeling that those assembled are very agreeable to how you're feeling about things. The tension runs high and most of the people assembled would at least refer to you well, if not as friends.

Early that morning, before sunrise:

You wake to a familiar smell: that of sweat, sex, rum, and the particular odor of Grok, the woman lying next to you. Some of what happened earlier in the night is a bit of a blur, but pleasant memories of the rough lovemaking between you and her cause a smile to creep across your face. The bite marks and bruises also serve as a enjoyable, in a masochistic way, reminder of the encounter.

As you get dressed, hearing the bells for the morning shift, Grok groggily rolls over to swat you on the rear. "Good mornin'... Get ya' off ta' work... Be along in a few..." She falls right back to sleep, sinking her face into the feather pillow.

Bilge Buddies:
You may be bold, but not the most clever i fear. Even if there are one or two of the crew with you, it´s against the odds and this Plugg and his mates are armed, while you are not and also lacking a hand now. They are not gonna sell us tomorrow, so lean back. We can find out who of the rest is upset and upset them a little more, make more friends and lure them on our side and start some rumors that will quickly boil up if what you said is true. Plugg will probably sense the tension and strike out to make an example. Shortly after that you will have a mutiny and we can take the chance. But we also need to get out of here, perhaps even become members of the crew first and especially get armed.

Your right. I wasn't very clever when I started this journey but now that I am here, I know exactly what I need to do. If we make it to Port Peril, that is where I plan to make my attack. However, that is dependant on if Plugg allows me to make it that far. Being prepared is the best I can do and if it is for my life, then I will fight Plugg and all his men with one hand if I have to rather than be another of his victims."

I yawn. "Besides, I will know soon enough if I have any allies. I'll just wait for the moment to see if Guinness starts anything. Maybe I'll get a visit from Skulls or Samms. They are my closest friends on this ship and if I hear from anyone it will most likely be one of them. I would be interesting to see if Plugg wants to make us crew. I´ll be trying a trick and start to do some sleazy storytelling, yelling before to attract attention of the crew around. I hope to crew will be entertained that way and grow friendlier with us. Especially me though.

After listening to the winds, he declares to the people at the card table. It's going to be good sailing weather tomorrow: clear skies, calm waters, and a good breeze. At least we have that going for us.

After the card game, Jove curls up in his new hammock, Zephyrus sleeping, head under wing, on Jove's stomach, resolving to rise early the next morning to climb the rigging and catch the sunrise after communing with Zephyrus and preparing his spells.

Where is every body?

Bilge Buddies:

I smile at the fox girl as she start to call out to people. I sit ready to see what goes down. "Getting attention. If someone shows up it will be either a friend or an enemy. I'm ready for either." I stand up and lean casually against the bars and keep ready,

Shade Psion 18

In case I forgot to mention it, for those in the bilges, you're manacled and chained in bilges with long chains. You can move around in it, but not leave the bilges.

@Four Skulls: My plan is not to begin again with the shifts mechanic, but rather to move along in scenes, noting the change between days. Feel free to note anything you're doing in the time between though.

Card Games:
As everyone is beginning to bed down for the night, something can be heard down below. It kind of sounds like someone's yelling.

Rosie grumbles, "Blast it... Who in the hell is hollarin' down there? The f+!% they thinkin'?" She storms off to the lower deck.

A monkey, Guinness, comes scrambling up the stair case and leaps into Four Skulls' hammock just as the Shoanti settles in. It pokes him in the head several times and dances about, rocking the hammock back and forth.

Bilge Buddies:
A bit after Ayaki begins to shout her stories, the hatch to the bilges gets thrown open. Rosie Cusswell comes storming in, standing on the lowest step just above the water. "The f%&+ do ya' think you're doin'? We're all tryin' ta' get some thrice-damned sleep." She stops for a moment and listens to Ayaki. "Well, keep it down a bit and maybe I'll just listen ta' one of yer stories." She sits down on the step.

Deeply annoyed Four Skulls follows Cusswell. After looking around to see if the commotion didnt attract unwanted attention, he kneels at the bilges entrance.

On the top of the bilge's small stairs is a young man of the shoanti people, tall, broad shouldered with a deeply tanned skin tone and a tribal tattoo that cover most of the right side of his torso. His black hair is braided into a mess of small plaits, mwangi style and his dark eyes are set deep inside his skull with a tired and haunted look. He wears the usual worm out rags of a sailor.

Your monkey is a pain in the @$& Laccaran. seeing the other prisioners I see you ve got company.

He looks at Ayaki. Women, you should keep it down. If Plugg or Scourge gets down here your tongue is going to have the same fate as Gan's hand. he gives the other man's stump a meaningfull look.
After a pause.

How are you holding up varisian? he asks while examining the newcomers.

Hold it down? I want to get out of here and i bet i´m not the only one here! So you´re his friend? I nod in direction of Gan. How do you like it up there? Going to join us soon here or do you enjoy ducking down and licking the spittle of Plugg´s or Scourge boots? I once heard rumors of the shackles pirates being free folk, must have been a far fetched rumor. What i see here is more like a slavers ship with the crew being slaves themselves.

I smile pleased to see Skulls. "I'm doing fine Shaoti, well as bout as good as I can get having lost my favorite trigger finger." I look over at Hu and just give a good chuckle. "Phew you guys are gonna have to forgive foxy here. She's a little impatient and wants out of here. In fact, I believe the rest want out of here too. Seems to be a decent lot. We all have the same goal in mind. Freedom."

I look at Rosie for a moment and shrug."Bet your tired of getting pushed around too eh Rosie?" I turn back to Skulls. "Way I understand it, that monster Harrigan isn't on the ship no more. Plugg's in charge. You remember what he did to the others right? Felix, and the rest of them? Keep me posted would ya. I'm not looking to make a mess yet but if Plugg starts to endanger other crew members needlessly, come find me and we'll work something out. We can't sit around just to be killed off by that paranoid little man. Otherwise, I plan to escape at whatever port we come to next, provided Plugg will actually let me survive the trip. I am still very concerned about the crew, I've made a lot of friends, you included and I don't want anything bad to happen to you guys like with Felix and Sabina[ooc]Whatever happened to her anyways[/ooc. Harrigan's too strong but I get the impression Plugg is just a scared little man hiding under his captain's influence. I'm sure he's nothing on his own. Anyways you should get back up there before your missed. Again, keep my in the loop, I'd like to help if need be. Also, see who else may stand with us if we need to make a stand. I picture the guys down how will make good allies, there is also my good mate Samms and my buddy Fishy. Syl, eh I'd like to think were friends but don't confront her unless we are actually going to make a move. She will be a strong ally or our first victim. See if you can make any new friends okay. It'll help in the long run mutiny or no." I look over at Hu. "Can't promise there won't be anymore disturbances but I will try and keep the pup quiet." I hold up my Shackles. "But my hand is tied."

Couldn't quite get the formatting to work with all the spoilers- so I'll just put it up and trust everyone outside the bilge to pretend they don't know.
Bilge Buddies (pre-Four Skulls' arrival):

The Ulfen man looks confused or puzzled by Noche-Wa's apology. He nods before extending a hand to the Shoanti. With his opposite hand he points with two fingers to the Shoanti's eyes- watch- then taps his own lips.
"Ruhgnuh.", he says slowly, lingering on each syllable so that his lips can be properly read. He taps his own chest and does it again. "Ruhgnuh Stuhlln-Vuhz."
Translation:

Spoiler:
"Ragnar. Ragnar Stolen-Voice."

Ragnar listens passively to Gan's speeches but says little. After a point he approaches the man. He points to the stump of Gan's hand, then to the scar on his own throat.
"Uh huhd suhmthuhn stuhlln...", he begins before leaning in with an intense stare, an almost crazed gleam in his storm-grey eyes,"... uhn ruhvuhnj uhz swuht. Fuhguhvnuzh uhz fuh cuhwuhds- uh'll hup yuh puhnt duh suhz ruhd."
Translation:

Spoiler:
"I had something stolen and revenge is sweet. Forgiveness is for cowards- I'll help you paint the seas red."

And he smiles viciously, producing a pair of brass knuckles from his fist for the other captives to see then giving his chains a rattle.
"Uhn whuht luhk! Uh'm uhlruhduh uhmd!"
Translation:

Spoiler:
"And what luck! I'm already armed!"

The pup eh? Think you had it all before do you? At least i was clever enough not to loose a part of myself yet. Once we get out of here we will who´s da better sailor, stumpie. And i will get out of here alive.

Obviously pissed and not liking to be called names, Ayaki retreats to the other corner and prepares to get some sleep.

I raise my eyebrow at the Ulfen. "See there, this group is all rarin ta get the party started. Relax fella, you'll get your chance. Nice to know we got a solid fighter amongst us. Step one, an armed combatant in the bilges. Complete."

Ragnar crosses his arms again, palming his knuckles and squatting on his haunches. When Rosie and Four-Skulls arrive he simply watches without comment, getting the impression that it isn't time for his bloody business yet.

Tousle-haired and groggy, Jove scoops Zephyrus into his hands and onto his shoulder, puts on his belt (with spell component pouch) and boots, and heads down to the bilges to see what the ruckus is about and to make sure Four Skulls doesn't get jumped like he heard Lex was. Jove is a tall, fair-skinned sylph with faint blue patterns on his skin (which are natural to sylph skin and not tattoos). His hair is platinum-blonde and shoulder length and flows as though in a slight breeze, even though the air in the bilges is stiflingly still.

He walks in right about the moment when Four Skull is warning the Fox. Jove steps beside him and nods fervently. He'd only cut your tongue out when he's in a good mood like today, being put in charge and all. Any other day he might kill you, from what I heard.

I'm Jove and this is Zephyrus, my thrush. He can talk, by the way, so don't panic.

Zephyrus, a greyish-brown thrush, opens his wings and lowers his head in a bow. Zephyrus, at your service!

I met Gan and Four Skulls at the battle between the ships--decided to throw my lot in with the pirates rather than take my chances as the Rahadoumis' newest prisoner--only got caught that morning. Things have been rocky among us because of a small quarrel about warning the captain of an impending attack, but hey, I'll help overthrow the establishment. Plugg seems about as pleasant as a centipede bath. Anyway, I suggest we all go back to sleep. I'll send Zephyrus down here sometime tomorrow to pass you messages. Can't do it too often, or it might look suspicious.

Noche'Wa smiles at Ragnar and grabs his hand: "Well met Ragnar."

He simply smiles as the others seem to have tense words. As the Shoanti gone Mwangi makes his appearance, Noche'Wa can't help but stare at the man in wonder. "Brother, what tribe are you from? You don't wear the signs..." The words are said almost as a reproach, but soon his attention is drawn to the Sylph. As an Oread, something doesn't sit well with him about Jove, and yet, he can't pinpoint why. He watches the bird, amazed as he listens to it speak. Is this some kind of trick? "How can a bird talk? Is it still a bird?"

Noche'Wa's body seem to retract. Too many people, too many voices, too much violence... He doesn't know what to do and steps back, yet deep inside he knows he must get free.

Male Human Gunslinger(Buccaneer) -2 HP = 17/17 NLHP 0/17 AC 17 Touch 13 Flat 14 F +3 R +6 W +3 In +3 Per +6

I look at Jove with a concerned expression. "So you got in good with the captain and now you want to turn too? Sorry bout taking a shot at you, but I was more concerned about the opportunity. I am glad you see just what I was so upset about. I hope when things get crazy we can agree to work together from then on. I'd be willling to try to be friends. You seem a decent sort.

Yeah, I see now the captain is better off dead, though it looks like killing him would be mighty difficult. Your shot didn't even faze him. I think Plugg and Scourge will be easier to face, though. Yeah, we can try to be mates. You seem a decent sort too. Jove offers his hand to shake.

Zephyrus turns to Noche'Wa and puffs out his chest. Of course I can talk. I'm a bird, aren't I? I was amazed to find out when I bonded to Jove and magically learned Common that you two-leg-walkers could talk, too.

Oh, Zeph, don't be too hard on him, he's only a 'two-leg-walker.' Jove laughs, and appraises Noche'Wa, then speaks again to Zephyrus. He's an oread--an elemental like me, only earth instead of wind. Jove furrows his brows in thought. Kinda surprised to see you so far from solid ground, to be honest. How did you come to the sea? Scratch that, we can tell stories later. Plugg will throttle us if we're caught down here, and we're not going to be much help if we get chained down here too. So either way, we'll have plenty of time for stories later. Jove makes a jaunty little salute, then heads back up out of the bilges to his hammock.

"Ahahah! Well met Zephyrus. The world is full of wonders for you and for me as well it seems!" His laughter pauses and he suppresses a sad expression as Jove mentions his connection to the elements and the pain it brought in his mother's life comes to the surface. "Something about the Sea I guess." Is all he wishes to offer for the moment as he looks away.

Day 24 - 25 Sarenith 4712

Above Decks:
The crew is roused by the ship's clock, signaling the beginning of the day's work. Master Scourge hands out tasks for each member of the crew, saving the worst two he can think of for Four Skulls and Jove. The work is hard, made all the worst by Scourge's propensity to crack his whip at the slightest of halts or imagined slow-downs.

Talk about the eventual fate of everyone on board is the primary talk being passed around. Pirates that you've befriended whisper amongst themselves about the fate that awaits them, especially if Plugg betrays Harrigan and tries to take the ship to start establishing himself. During the midday another rumor begins to pass around the ship. One of the pirates noticed that their course has changed during the night. They're no longer heading for Port Peril, but rather have turned east towards Bloodcove and the Slithering Coast.

Eventually, the day ends and you all are sent below decks again to rest, while Plugg's cronies and the rahadoumi remain above. Conchobhar again begins another game of chance. Just as the game gets started, Fishguts walks in, amazingly sober, and says, "I'm thinkin' its time ta' talk. Should we go get Gan?" He holds up a key ring and heads to the bilges.

The Bilges:
The trapdoor to the bilges is opened by a middle-aged man who's obviously seen his fair share of the sea. Gan recognizes Fishguts as the typically drunk cook of the Wormwood. "Gan, buddy, time ta' get ya' outta here, at least fer a bit." He glances around at the others in bilges. "Ya' been makin' friends down here?" He starts to go through keys, eventually unlocking Gan's manacles.

Bilges:

I see Fishguts and I almost break into a laugh. "Ah Fishy buddy. Sight for sore eyes." I listen to him for moment then look at the others trailing my vision from one to the next ending at Hu. "You could say that. A little fiery and anxious to get out but a decent lot all the same." I look at Fish as he unmanacles me. "For a little bit huh? I assume your just inviting me to the late night party huh? Be nice to know whats been going on while I've been down here." I look at the others. "If they can only let me out for a bit it's probably for something secret.....or they plan to off me but I'm willing to go on a little faith. Regardless, I won't forget you guys. I'll fill you in on what goes down when I come back." I turn my direction to Fishguts. "Whats the situation? Secret meeting? Or am I to serve some other purpose? Is this something we could risk bringing the rest of these guys too. I believe we can trust them and they'll come to trust us better if we can keep them in the loop."
