Hokina |
Sassarra knows that for over two hundred years Tidwater Rock has been used by different pirates as a base and lookout for targets. In recent years merchant ships have learned to avoid getting too close. This means that the owners no longer grown is as much power as they once did. She also knows that it is being held by someone, but does not even know who.
Skrelznit knows that Tidewater Rock is a nickname for Windward Isle; the westernmost most island in its archipelago. It would take about 3 days to get there.

As your ship sails the next day after leaving the port, Quinn walks up to you.
Quinn:(draconic) "A smell village has been spotted. They look weak and open to attack, but if we attack now they will be ready for us. Or we could circle back tonight and ambush them at night; it will just lose us a day of travel."
Sassarra |
She looks to the crew, "Suggestions? Quick attack, sneaky attack, or look for a better target?"
Can we estimate worth? Is it a well-built village or a shanty town?
Skrelznit Stinklaw |
We kobolds is good at the sneaksie-sneaksie-k-k-k. I says we come back when they don't expect it-k-k-k.
Grauchi |
"Yes, the silent dragon strikes at night. Unexpected and unforgiving."
"We don't think we'll find an easier target between here and Tidewater Rock, no? We need something to show for when we arrive there, to make them realize we're the real deal."

You sail past and swing around to land after night fall. You are able to get to shore before being discovered.
You see a few villagers run for cover as an alarm is sounded.
As you were able to make it to land before the alarm sounded, you have full surprise round(s) till the defenders start showing up. Give your actions for this round and the next (2 rounds in all).

Isn't intimidate now not the applicable skill? We don't want to convince them we're lost and poor pirates, we're an unrivaled menace that now rules these seas. No?
"Yes, come out nice and quietly. And you can tell your grand-children one day you survived a raid of the infamous dragon kin crew. If you think you can put up a fight, the only legacy you'll leave is the burning carcasses of these huts. Between us and the sharks you yourself will have little of substance remaining.."

Skrelznit will not deign to speak for Captain Sassarra, but I think tying up the captives and searching the village for booty is called for.
Sassarra |
"You have defied the Dragon's Kin." she says, visibly crackling with energy. She looks them over as they are surrounded by her crew. "Look to your dead. They are the cost of defiance. We will be merciful. No more will die today."
She turns to the crew, "Bind them and then we pillage."
Good instincts.

After binding and looting the town you gained 2 Plunder.
Anytime you run into a random encounter that is equal or weaker then the highest of its type (village, ship, ...) you have won, and you attack (like in this cast spent a day to turn around and attack), you will auto win.
That is so you don't have to spend a large amount of time in random battles.

The night before arriving at Tidewater Rock, you are alerted to the death of Shivikah. Three beast sneaked out of the water and attacked. But was quickly dispatched by the crew on duty.
The three were sahuagin.
You come to Tidewater Rock and find a tower rising like a solid block from the sea at the edge of the island. The pounding surf rolls around its base and partially covers the steps that lead up to its front gate. A few arrow slits pierce its walls here and there, and a single shuttered window opens high upon the face of the fortress. A roof of metal shingles rises from its battlements where sentries keep lookout and siege weapons stand ready on corner turrets.
As you get closer to the island Fishgut come up to you all. "Many have tried to take the rock; even Captain Harrigan. I don't think this crew is anywhere near the point of being able to attack and win a face on attack. On top of that even if we can take it, there are many who would see us as easy targets. We don't really have the crew needed to both sail and man the tower.
