All of you had received setter from and old asociate, Ulisha, a curious and capable half-orc explorer. In the letters she told about her last discovering, Silverhex, an enchanted sickle used by druids millennia before which she recover from a collapsing stone circle. She also tolds you about her recent problems with the local nobility, and the bounty they had putted on her head. Unable to deal with her pursuers on her own. So she offeres to sell you Silverhex at a steep discount and then pay off her bounty.

But when you arrive to the room of the Giant´s thumb inn, she asked as a meeting place, she is nowhere to be found. However, she left behind her journal full of profitable leads as a sign of good faith. Reading the journal you find quickly a clue about a treasure:

Excepts from Ulisha’s Journal
The only thing worse than working for a Galtan nobleman is working for two Galtan noblemen—in my case, Lords Tullivor and Sarvio, both of whom are happy only when the other is not. I made a tidy sum recovering their heirlooms, but when Laban Tullivor tasked me to steal a platinum chalice belonging to the Sarvios, I took my leave (and the cup), and they’ve been hounding me since. Now Laban’s deceased, and it’s rumored his mausoleum in Gralton’s cemetery harbors a treasure. I hope you’ll not balk at tomb-robbing. Remember, these are aristocrats. I say, a plague on both their houses.

I would guess you folks also know old Ulisha? Assuming you don't wish to just give up on the chance at the Silver hex, the mausoleum of Laban seems the place to start.

The female cleric, dressed in a yellow robe with a scimitar sheeted on her hip nods and looks at the gathered party.
"As the half-ling said I do suggest we head to the mausoleum as the SIlverhex would probably be of great use to the society. But first, does anyone know of the men she is mentioning in her journal? I am not from these lands so I do not know about the locals around here but maybe some of you know about them."
She pauses and scratches her chin a bit.
"But say, if the treasure is rumoured to exist surely someone must have already stolen it unless the mausoleum is in some way guarded, nay?"
The clerics eyes lay on the other party members expecting answers.

Maybe any of you can remember something about those nobles, or at least could ask about it.

DC 10 Diplomacy or Knowledge (local) to know about the nobles:

Laban Tullivor was a corrupt and cruel man. Before dying, he boasted about the treasure to be entombed with him as well as about a magical trap that could be bypassed by “one who earns Tullivors’ thanks.”

Lord Sarvios is as corrupt and cruel as Lord Tullivor, and both families and even before their flight from Galt, the noble families Tullivor and Sarvio were bitter rivals

"I do not like this tomb-robbing."

Her expression softens as she sighs.

"I do this task reservations, but I shall do it, if I must."

Female Human Cleric 1

Seelah I do not like it either. But the pay off of how many people within the society this could help is big enough for us to go ahead and raid his tomb. Besides the man was as crule as it could get from what we heard from our companions.

She would point to the door.
shall we pack up our belongings and head there then? Speaking of which do we know the location of the mausoleum?

Merisiel - Rogue 1 (AC 17/14/13; HP 10/10; Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +1; Init +6; CMD 16; Perception +7)

"Well, our benefactor's notes stated that it was in Gralton's Cemetery - I suppose we should start there," Merisiel says, with a wink to Kyra.

To the cemetery, with the day fading off

For a small city, Gralton boasts an ostentatious cemetery, with the tombs of wealthy Galtan refugees evoking their lost glories.

As you approach is visible that the gates ajar and no guards on duty

DC 10 Knowledge (local) check:
This is rather unusual, the gates should be closed and two guard should be there to take care of vandals or worse.

From the gates, you can see a body in the ground.

She then cautiously moves forward.

To this point, Zadim, the so-called "Shadow of Sarenrae," has been fairly quiet, but now he speaks, his Quadiran accept evident.

No one can see signs of danger, so Zadim enters in the cemetery and, when his sight is around the body, he can see the body is that of a young human male dressed in a noble’s outfit with his hands bound with rope. He has belt buckle resembling a badger and that the deceased’s facial features somewhat resemble the bust’s it´s lying near.

DC 15 Knowledge (nobility), for Zadim or anyone who goes near the corpse:
The badger is the Tullivor sigil, and the victim is most likely Laban’s heir, Northis Tullivor

She would eye the body with suspicion.

Merisiel winks at Kyra.

"It distresses you when something is out of place?"

Skirting around the body, Merisiel heads in the direction of the crypt. Mindful of the warning about a trap, she takes her time looking for it.

Perception 'Take 20' = 27.

While Enora is concentrating in his magic and Marisiel is taking her time for search, a magic mouth activates in the pedestal, and recites the following riddle; When the last sun falls upon this spot, receive my thanks.

Merisiel, it has interrupted your take 20, but you can resume it if you want
Enora. Obviosly there is magic, but know you know exactly which spell is, and you don´t find auras of any other magic

Merisiel - Rogue 1 (AC 17/14/13; HP 10/10; Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +1; Init +6; CMD 16; Perception +7)

I take over-watch, getting ready for the action to start.

We are before sunset, but just by a few minutes

Merisiel:
There´s a man and a horse, trying to hide behind the sothern mausoluem, also you can see a hawk in the top of the same mausoleum

Merisiel - Rogue 1 (AC 17/14/13; HP 10/10; Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +1; Init +6; CMD 16; Perception +7)

I may be wrong, but I'm guessing something will happen on the pedestal at sunset.

Kyra mutters something at the elfs comment and then turns to the southern mausoleum Merisiel gestured. She then gestures the party to move behind her.

"Be on your guard. We do not know what is hidden there."

With that she would slowly start moving toward the southern building.

The nobleman, who Seelah don´t detects as evil, moves toward you from behind the mausoleum. He has a crossbow in her hands, pointing to the ground but ready to be used if neccesary.

What dou you want? Can´t a man pray at his family tomb? Did you make that noise?

Merisiel smiles.

"Then we will offer you just as much of an answer as you did us. Is it illegal to go for a pleasant walk in the evening?"

Illegal, no. Unusual, well a pleasant walk in a cemetery can be called unusual.

We can continue talking this way if you want, or, if you prefer it, you can answer my questions. The later will be more profitable for people of your kind.

There´s no evil to be battled here, but there are worngs to be undone. The Tullivor mausoleum contains an object rightly belonging to us. If you help me retrieve it, you may earn the Sarvios’ gratitude.

Merisiel - Rogue 1 (AC 17/14/13; HP 10/10; Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +1; Init +6; CMD 16; Perception +7)

"Provided it is not what we are looking for, I have no problem with that."

Then we have a deal. Says the nobleman desmonting. Come here, to Tullivors mausoleum She walks with you to the estmost mausoleum;

Tullivor mausoleum
This baroque marble tomb clamors for attention like a gaudy flag waving for a once noble house. Its most audacious feature is a sculpted badger that looms, gargoyle-like, above the door. The iron door is decorated not only with the Tullivor name and crest, but also with an elaborate and inactive arcane rune.

Perception DC 10:
The rune is a deliberately conspicuous trap, prepared to cast a harmfull in front of the oor if anyone tries to to disable the lock or break down the door

Resolving the riddle surely would help to open the door, but I wasn´t unable to solve it. Had you came with lockpicks?

"What do you know of this corpse? I would like that question answered before we enter this tomb," he says.

It was dead before I arrive. But being Leban Tullivor yougest son I don´t care much about his death.

Ok big man, can you make the honors to open the door?
