All of you had received setter from and old asociate, Ulisha, a curious and capable half-orc explorer. In the letters she told about her last discovering, Silverhex, an enchanted sickle used by druids millennia before which she recover from a collapsing stone circle. She also tolds you about her recent problems with the local nobility, and the bounty they had putted on her head. Unable to deal with her pursuers on her own. So she offeres to sell you Silverhex at a steep discount and then pay off her bounty.
But when you arrive to the room of the Giant´s thumb inn, she asked as a meeting place, she is nowhere to be found. However, she left behind her journal full of profitable leads as a sign of good faith. Reading the journal you find quickly a clue about a treasure:
Excepts from Ulisha’s Journal
The only thing worse than working for a Galtan nobleman is working for two Galtan noblemen—in my case, Lords Tullivor and Sarvio, both of whom are happy only when the other is not. I made a tidy sum recovering their heirlooms, but when Laban Tullivor tasked me to steal a platinum chalice belonging to the Sarvios, I took my leave (and the cup), and they’ve been hounding me since. Now Laban’s deceased, and it’s rumored his mausoleum in Gralton’s cemetery harbors a treasure. I hope you’ll not balk at tomb-robbing. Remember, these are aristocrats. I say, a plague on both their houses.
Ehm Sven Nien |
I would guess you folks also know old Ulisha? Assuming you don't wish to just give up on the chance at the Silver hex, the mausoleum of Laban seems the place to start.
Lantern - Kyra |
The female cleric, dressed in a yellow robe with a scimitar sheeted on her hip nods and looks at the gathered party.
"As the half-ling said I do suggest we head to the mausoleum as the SIlverhex would probably be of great use to the society. But first, does anyone know of the men she is mentioning in her journal? I am not from these lands so I do not know about the locals around here but maybe some of you know about them."
She pauses and scratches her chin a bit.
"But say, if the treasure is rumoured to exist surely someone must have already stolen it unless the mausoleum is in some way guarded, nay?"
The clerics eyes lay on the other party members expecting answers.

Maybe any of you can remember something about those nobles, or at least could ask about it.
Laban Tullivor was a corrupt and cruel man. Before dying, he boasted about the treasure to be entombed with him as well as about a magical trap that could be bypassed by “one who earns Tullivors’ thanks.”
Lord Sarvios is as corrupt and cruel as Lord Tullivor, and both families and even before their flight from Galt, the noble families Tullivor and Sarvio were bitter rivals

"Raiding a tomb? Sounds like fun!"

"From what I have heard, Laban Tullivor was a corrupt and cruel man. Before dying, he boasted about the treasure to be entombed with him as well as about a magical trap that could be bypassed by “one who earns Tullivors’ thanks.” Lord Sarvios is as corrupt and cruel as Lord Tullivor, and even before their flight from Galt, the noble families Tullivor and Sarvio were bitter rivals. I doubt anyone will care if we help ourselves to whatever we find in there..."
Lantern - Kyra |
Seelah I do not like it either. But the pay off of how many people within the society this could help is big enough for us to go ahead and raid his tomb. Besides the man was as crule as it could get from what we heard from our companions.
She would point to the door.
shall we pack up our belongings and head there then? Speaking of which do we know the location of the mausoleum?

To the cemetery, with the day fading off
For a small city, Gralton boasts an ostentatious cemetery, with the tombs of wealthy Galtan refugees evoking their lost glories.
As you approach is visible that the gates ajar and no guards on duty
From the gates, you can see a body in the ground.
Ehm Sven Nien |
Enora mutters, problem. She starts looking around for threats and for a wall to back up against.

"Guys? This is rather unusual, the gates should be closed and two guard should be there to take care of vandals or worse..." Merisiel coughs. "Not that I have any experience breaking into cemeteries, of course... Nope. None at all..."
She then cautiously moves forward.
Pregen - PatheticWretch |
To this point, Zadim, the so-called "Shadow of Sarenrae," has been fairly quiet, but now he speaks, his Quadiran accept evident.
"I have plenty of experience breaking into places," he says. "I will check it out."
The slayer draws a kukri and moves ahead.

Seelah, Knight of the Inheritor |
Seelah draw hers sword and straps on her shield.
"If the guards are missing, there might be criminal elemnts at work."
She returns to a confident posture for the first time since the party set-out.
"Capturing skulkers is more to my liking. Perhaps my skills will be useful here after-all."

Please, move yourselves in the map. Depending were you go can happen different things. Or nothing, if you stay at the gate
No one can see signs of danger, so Zadim enters in the cemetery and, when his sight is around the body, he can see the body is that of a young human male dressed in a noble’s outfit with his hands bound with rope. He has belt buckle resembling a badger and that the deceased’s facial features somewhat resemble the bust’s it´s lying near.
Jethryk Devarre |
Merisiel winks at Kyra.
"It distresses you when something is out of place?"
Skirting around the body, Merisiel heads in the direction of the crypt. Mindful of the warning about a trap, she takes her time looking for it.
Perception 'Take 20' = 27.

While Enora is concentrating in his magic and Marisiel is taking her time for search, a magic mouth activates in the pedestal, and recites the following riddle; When the last sun falls upon this spot, receive my thanks.
Merisiel, it has interrupted your take 20, but you can resume it if you want
Enora. Obviosly there is magic, but know you know exactly which spell is, and you don´t find auras of any other magic
Pregen - PatheticWretch |
"This is some kind of riddle we must solve," Zadim says.
"Might this have something to do with the two Lords who are happy only when the other is not?" he asks.
Ehm Sven Nien |
Enora watches the pedestal and mutters, Don't let whoever that is interfere or we may be here all week.
.
Enora will concentrate to continue the detect magic at the pedestal.
.
I may be wrong, but I'm guessing something will happen on the pedestal at sunset.
Pregen - PatheticWretch |
Zadim looks in the direction of the hidden watcher.
"We know you are there!" the slayer yells. "Come out, or I will be coming to find you!"

The nobleman, who Seelah don´t detects as evil, moves toward you from behind the mausoleum. He has a crossbow in her hands, pointing to the ground but ready to be used if neccesary.
What dou you want? Can´t a man pray at his family tomb? Did you make that noise?
Seelah, Knight of the Inheritor |
"I cannot speak for the others, but I exist to do battle against evil. Declare your purpose, and I will judge whether or not conversation may be profitable."
Seelah still stands in a wary stance, her shield and sword at the ready.
Oykiv |
Then we have a deal. Says the nobleman desmonting. Come here, to Tullivors mausoleum She walks with you to the estmost mausoleum;
Tullivor mausoleum
This baroque marble tomb clamors for attention like a gaudy flag waving for a once noble house. Its most audacious feature is a sculpted badger that looms, gargoyle-like, above the door. The iron door is decorated not only with the Tullivor name and crest, but also with an elaborate and inactive arcane rune.
Resolving the riddle surely would help to open the door, but I wasn´t unable to solve it. Had you came with lockpicks?
Pregen - PatheticWretch |
Zadim looks carefully at the nobleman.
"What do you know of this corpse? I would like that question answered before we enter this tomb," he says.
