Oh, just to clarify, both groups are getting the same amount of xp.

Team Dawei get explore XP for their hex-mapping.

Team Baolin get xp for explore and the ghost.

and, because I say so.. Team Dawei's explore xp = Team Baolin's Ghost + fewer hex explores.


i will resolve in about an hour. Kids are being frustrating and actually demanding an education, for once.

I can't speak for Dawei, but I'm ok with getting less XP. That means characters'll have to be proactive to level up.

But regardless, if Tsui is OK with it, Hayashi and he will head back to the base. That'll be on the morning of the 6th day.

yes. It's like Big Hero 6, but without the cute music. I actually saw a lego robot eat the heart of a robot it defeated. It ripped the thing out of the chassis and said "Kali Ma!! Kali ma!!! Kali Ma shuktidey!"

Actually, I have a question: Are there any spells in which you can animate trees/shrubs and use their branches as natural attacks? Maybe also one that enlarges trees?

Because then Xiang Lun could carry a Bonsai and count it as equipment--like some freaky familiar that becomes larger and attacks.

True, I was waiting to see if others would post to chime in.

I might get spells like that, but they are not on my spell list - yet. I do get a few druid spells added, like Entangle, but a spell level later than the druid. So, it's a second level spell for me.

EDIT: Yes, I get plant growth as a 4th level spell, as well as command plants as a 5th level spell and control plants as a 9th level spell. I also get liveoak at 7th level.


Ok, so do u guys want me to advance to the ambush? U can take over and set up your own thang, strategize and whatnot. You COULD take the fight tot the crooks, and try and raid their camp.

Dawei could do some damage from a good sniper's perch. A convenient rooftop or tower by the gate, say. With a good Perception check, he could be firing at them well before they even arrived.

I was waiting for the rest of the players to chip in.

But my 2 (regional currency) here is that we set up an ambush outside the walls of the base, and set the NPCs to hold the wall and use the trebuchet/ballista against them.

We (the PCs) man the appear from conveniently-placed bushes* to ambush them while they're being attacked and trying to break into the fort. If we're next to each other, we can support one another with healing and defense.

*They've not been here in a month, so they might not remember bushes being in suspiciously strategic locations.


Ok, a plan this sounds . U guys work out the details of how u want it to happen and I'll try and set it up... Probably by Monday night

Okay, so, we go for the ambush from outside the fort. I don't think our NPCs are going to be much good for fighting. They're probably best off locking the door and hunkering down. I'm not a particularly stealthy character, so perhaps I should fight from atop the walls. Lay down some crowd control the use my splintered spear ability.
