Inira's arrow hits the the first creature, wounding it.
Fingalad gets a clean shot in as well, neatly striking it and leaving a telling wound.
They respond by trying to rush the awaiting Samurai, who simply cuts down the first reptile man with precision and grace Readied triggered

/end combat.
Most of the few remaining arms in the room have rusted away, making them useless in combat.
The door in the eastern wall leads to the tower’s central staircase. Although the lower portion of the staircase has collapsed, cutting off access to the ground floor, the staircase is whole on this floor and above and can be used to access the rest of the tower’s upper levels.
Appraise checks if you have them, I'll retcon any info as required
You now have one more door towards the broken edge of the tower and the curious lizard, or the stairwell up.
Inira McCullagh |
The lizard is not a basilisk, correct?
"Up or clear first? I think we should clear this level first, just to keep from getting pinned in, in case we need a quick exit. Right?"
If there is general agreement, Inira will head to the remaining door first.
GM Fuzzfoot |
Ha! Yah, I guess that is an easy way to confirm...
Fingalad Eldahir |
"I suspect we can leave the lizard alone, but if it proves hostile I will not hesitate to aid in its slaying."

Two stone altars, one black and one white, sit at either end of this large chamber, which takes up two wings of the tower on this level. The crumbling remains of wooden benches sag in front of each altar beneath rotting ceiling tapestries. Carved symbols and writings snake along the walls. The burnt corpses of two troglodytes lie on the floor in the center of the room.
From the doorway, Wyconda can see one skeleton standing guard, wreathed in flames.
Whoever triggers will get the benefit of a surprise round.
Hask Wartooth |
Hask peers into the room, and slowly pulls one of the Holy Waters from his bandolier.
This should do the trick. I suggest attacking in mass after I throw this. Don't let them gain any advantages.
Please move Hask two squares in front of Wyconda. This way he's in range of using his holy water, and he isn't blocking the way for anyone to enter.

That sounds awesome! I think your Memorial Day is like our ANZAC Day, and yeah I wouldn't have been rolling the right dice either at the time
Seems cheezy to force a re-roll and then run with the lesser damage, 4 it is
The flask arcs gracefully and strikes the creature, almost extinguishing the fire - the sound of breaking glass and splashed liquid triggers the battle.

We've spent most of the night cat fishing. I just caught one that weighed in at five pounds. He fought like a beast. Yeah ANZAC and Memorial Day are pretty similar. I have a lot of military family so we always have a huge family gathering and relax.
Gah, I was REALLY hoping to beat that thing in initiative so I could get the hell away. Haha

Wyconda moves in to finish the skeleton as best as he can. He may have overextended himself, however. He relies on the undead creature being caught unawares of their attack.

Even though he doesn't want to admit it, the half Orc is beaten up badly, and burn marks cover most of his exposed skin. A deep scimitar gash now decorates the sorcerer's exposed chest.
