Male Elf Bard - 1

Seeing that the figures in front of us are Gnolls and everyone else would rather fight than talk things I out begin to sing an uplifting battle ballad.

Inspire Courage +1 : 1 / 14

The gnolls remain out of sight as Faelar begins his happy song. Garavel efficiently gathers the camels and pack animals and pulls them back from the edge before fighting starts and they risk injury.

Antar grunts with surprise as Karethas steps forward and Amir vanishes from sight. The tiny brass dragon circles nearby as Kzrira is frustrated to find the only approach to the burned out wagon is the exposed slope into the wadi.

They are swirling around in the air and begin to merge, after a couple of seconds they begin to collide and where each individual crow had crashed before a black wall is being erected. As the final arrow pierces his side Karethas staggers and gasps deeply, ruining the motions and cadence of his spell. He glances down at the archers who are hitting him, but can see nothing but a wall of ravens. Killed by your own strategies, you fool! He gathers himself for a quicker spell, barely managing to ignore the pain enough to spit out the incantation. As he finishes the spell, Karethas turns and scampers up the slope using one hand to steady himself against the dirt and the other to hold the arrow still against his side. He collapses behind a tree, using it to screen himself from the archers, and maybe from the lightening from above.

Standard: Cast Spell
Move: Move to C26
Voodoo, the spell depends on your call. Can I create a pit behind the wall, where I know the archers are or must I have line of sight? I figure that logically Karethas knows the wall is an illusion, but he just can't shake the effects of the spell, even with that knowledge. So he would have line of effect, if not line of sight.

Line of Effect from PRD:

Line of Effect: A line of effect is a straight, unblocked path that indicates what a spell can affect. A line of effect is canceled by a solid barrier. It's like line of sight for ranged weapons, except that it's not blocked by fog, darkness, and other factors that limit normal sight.

You must have a clear line of effect to any target that you cast a spell on or to any space in which you wish to create an effect. You must have a clear line of effect to the point of origin of any spell you cast.

A burst, cone, cylinder, or emanation spell affects only an area, creature, or object to which it has line of effect from its origin (a spherical burst's center point, a cone-shaped burst's starting point, a cylinder's circle, or an emanation's point of origin).

An otherwise solid barrier with a hole of at least 1 square foot through it does not block a spell's line of effect. Such an opening means that the 5-foot length of wall containing the hole is no longer considered a barrier for purposes of a spell's line of effect.

If I can not cast Create Pit (Ref Save DC 17) there, then I will cast Glitterdust (Will Save DC 17) with the center of effect at the intersection of P12/Q11.

yes Kzrira, M-I-S-S.
Karethas- no prob. You know it's an illusion, but you just can't see through it.

Seeing little opening for a shot, what with a tree and a heavy shield between her and the gnoll leader, Kzrira targets the exposed archer. This time she hits and an arrow protrudes from the archers side.

Karethas casts a spell beyond the strange wall of crows hoping that the archers fall before he scrambles for cover.
