Alright so I tried to recruit among some friends for a weekly game session and nobody had the right days off to do it together so alas this campaign is going to become a PBP.
Fear spread across many nations when the large crystal-like object dominated the sky above the Worldwound. Many of the nations sent Armies, researchers and any other person they felt appropriate to the borders to investigate. It seemed like the demonic entities themselves were up to something... however investigation reveal that the blighted land... still damaged... was scarcely still populated by the demons. It was then assumed the crystal was a weapon from one of the nations sent here first as a test. This threw everyone present in chaos, people argued and fought each other in a panic, worried that they were next to go when the crystal suddenly shattered....
Wait what... what's going on? Where are you? There are bodies everywhere! What... what happened? You just can't seem to remember ANYTHING.
This is the prelude to my campaign more or less.
It is set in Golarian.
25 point buy for stats
2 traits
Starting at level 3
You automatically have the amnesia flaw with gives you an extra feat...
special case here... you don't have to use the full details (multiple flaws and etc you don't know about)
However I am willing to allow you to grab an extra feat at the risk of you gaining a flaw you obviously will be unaware of.
I am looking to get about 4 or 5 people to go through it.
Don't bother to buy yourself any equipment at all, you won't be starting with any for story purposes
I would recommend placing some restrictions like; non-Evil(stopping inter party fights), no summoners(they are broken as hell), no playing CR 3+ races (no playing those demons or angels).
ah yes, well I wont let anyone be cr 3+ thats for sure... I actually dont mind the alignments as everyone will start of with amnesia anyway... though I may not accept it based on background of the character... like a character that may not go along with the goals the party ends up going for... you can be evil and still want to go along with something after all.
also... 3pp... what did you have in mind?
I have a question for you. Since everyone starts with no equipment at all, does this mean classes that require equipment to be useful should be ruled out (wizards, alchemists, well, anything that requires a spellbook for example)? Or will there be opportunities to rectify this situation early on enough to be useful? Just curious.
Just to clarify, based on what you said above, you get a feat because you have the amnesia flaw, so a character would start with three feats if not human, four if human, and six if a human and a fighter. Is this right or did I totally get that wrong.
2 feats at 1st + 1 at 3rd (+ 1 for human) (+ 3 for fighter)
Any planning on a paladin. Should be fun.
EDIT: How do we calculate HP Max at first and 1/2 HD +1 after that?
I was debating the name thing... leaning on no for true amnesia... but its up for discussion.
However there will always be opportunity to learn about who you were... things like that... spellcasters won't be hopeless either I have roughly planned for all of that.
Azure: I actually don't own either book and I am not a fan of having players use stuff I don't have access to, if you can give me a source I can get more information on without spending money I don't have at the moment I can consider it.
Misread... ahem... I have absolutely no money to spare at the moment for that stuff.
I do have access to a number of things that just isn't one of them right now. Sorry ^^; Perhaps if you could message me details on what you are using... the specific race or classes I'll consider it... also how you see them fitting in the world would help too.
I too am wondering if there are any more vacancies. I have an Elven Fighter that I would like to put forward. I have been toying with him for a while and think it is about time that I put him into a game.
Howdy all. Faelar, if you have a character made, the slot is yours. If there is more than one, then I will put together a submission. Really need to gets some work done today though.
Whats up Adam - we seem to meet a lot on these boards.
All depends on what your character idea is, it may work better with the GM's idea for this campaign. I too am having trouble finding the Amnesia flaw, the only thing I have found on Amnesia is the Insanity and that seems very harsh to start with.
GM, it will take me about 15-20 minutes to write out all my stats, if you want them made quickly.
Hmm... I never expected so many to be interested in a game with these circumstances, I really thought I'd be pressed to get more people but I can open it up for more if you guys want, it may help keep things going.
I shall put together a character profile for you to check through and let me know if there are any problems. I once played a character (in Real Life) with Amnesia, complete amnesia. I couldn't remember my name as we had a Kobold with us, I asked it who I was and he said "You is you", my character took that literally and she adopted the name "Yoo".
Here is my Elven Fighter. I just have to finish him up, choose his final skills, etc. How are we doing HP, I have looked and I couldn't see it anywhere. I am happy with just sticking with the Amnesia. Unless you have another that you think would be good for his campaign. Also I know we don't buy equipment, so I am assuming we don't have to worry about having any money right now?
Archetype22d100 ⇒ (47, 10) = 57 *Master of Many Styles /Monk of the Four Winds
Archetype12d100 ⇒ (49, 38) = 87 *Martial Artist / Normal
Archetype F2d100 ⇒ (54, 6) = 60 *Master of Many Styles / Martial Artist.
gender:2d4 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2Female
Result: Female Succubus touched Monk(Master of Many Styles).
Land of the Linnorm Kings. I'm going to be doing a write up about the clan in my main profile, if you want to use that. It'll probably be done tonight or tomorrow.
