The ruined monastery is exactly one of those places parents warn their children about. I wonder why...

So, what's the gameplan?

Female Human Arcanist 4/Arch. 1 | HP: 35/35 | AC: 13, T: 13, FF: 10 | Fort: +3, Ref: +4, Will: +6 | BAB: +2, CMB: +4, CMD: 17 | Init: +9, Perception: +6 |

Sakuro will be looking to trip the enemy up, using her short-range teleport in order to try and sneak close (if this seems like a viable choice for the rest of the group). Otherwise, she'll do what she can to protect them before they charge in.

Inquisitor 2 | 10/21 | Init +4 | Perc +9 | AC:16 Tch:11 FF:15 | Fort +6 Ref +1 Will +6 | CMD:14 |

Should we all get ready to make a ranged attack? Unleash it all at once on the same target and hope for the best?

Male Human Rogue (Unchained, Swashbuckler) L2 | AC19 (T14F15) CMD16 | HP 17/17 | Saves F1R7W-2 | Percep +2 | Init: +4 | Status: OK

Antonio nods.
"Yeah, everyone target the same one first off. Try to overwhelm them one at a time."

Reiko will get as close as can with stealth, and then bomb them with the alchemists fire arrows, and close in with his katana once he has to. Focusing on one is a good idea.

Liberty's Edge

Ok, then...everybody moves up together. Since the ogres are watching the road, Tania takes everyone through the brush at the side of the road. Taking your time, and with caution, it's possible for the whole group to easily get within 150 feet of the ogres, or thereabout. That's where Tania stops for a moment, points them out to those that haven't been this close, and whispers - I think it would be good for those of us that can get into place, to be in place - anybody stealthy should move up close and get ready. The others should follow after twenty seconds, or so.

With that, Tania creeps into position, going all the way to the thicket just north of them.

About 80 feet out, near some kind of cover or hidey spot. He wants to be able to stay as "out of sight" as possible while still being able to use his bow.

Male Human Rogue (Unchained, Swashbuckler) L2 | AC19 (T14F15) CMD16 | HP 17/17 | Saves F1R7W-2 | Percep +2 | Init: +4 | Status: OK

...Crit confirm?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 for a possible extra 1d8 ⇒ 2 piercing damage.

Liberty's Edge

I won't make you lose that excellent attack, but I still need a location and initiative. :p

Liberty's Edge

Roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Female Elf Wizard

Aya stays with the non-stealthy group and waits the suggested 20 sec.
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Female Human Arcanist 4/Arch. 1 | HP: 35/35 | AC: 13, T: 13, FF: 10 | Fort: +3, Ref: +4, Will: +6 | BAB: +2, CMB: +4, CMD: 17 | Init: +9, Perception: +6 |

Initiative: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

Stealth was one of the areas Sakuro was not especially talented in - although she could do a remarkably good imitation of it by use of her innate magic, simply appearing wherever made the most sense. However, there was no point in rushing forward when things didn't totally require it, so the girl carefully took her time to sneak forward as best she could, moving along with Aya to stay out of trouble.

Stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

With that, the girl began focusing her magic, paying special attention to the space in front of them.

Ready Action: Cast Grease (Reflex DC 16, I believe) 30 feet away from the group if any Ogres move across the zone she can target.

Female Elf Wizard

After the stealth group has had time to position themselves, 20 sec, Aya tries to get to a good hiding spot about 90 - 100 ft. from the ogres. Stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
How many ogres do I see?

Liberty's Edge

The two daggers are two ogres. They aren't paying much attention to the road, as nobody has passed by in over 24 hours.

Ok...anybody who hasn't done initiative, please do. Antonio starts off the surprise round (If someone beats his initiative, then technically, they do, but hey.) with an amazing shot into the throat of one of them. The ogre does not die, but he surely looks surprised!

Initiative, T: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Initiative, O: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5

We're in a surprise round, at this point, as everybody did fine moving into place.

Tania attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Tania damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (4, 4) + 8 = 16

Tania proves her point about not being able to guarantee a kill, as her arrow seems on target, but deflects off of the heavy hide armor.

Female Elf Wizard

Aya aims her bow at the ogre that Antonio hit and fires.
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Alyra is there...somewhere. ;)

Yes, she's amazing...but she can't do much...hurt. :p

Liberty's Edge

Nobody can beat that initiative, so Alyra's 'first regular round'...

Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Liberty's Edge

Tania grumbles about her first failure, and fires twice.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (2, 2) + 8 = 12
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (5, 4) + 8 = 17

The second shot is solid in the chest, and the ogre crumples.

Round 1___________Init 13

Antonio dropped his crossbow and leapt down into the hidden hollow from his place hidden on the rim.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
He drew his sword as he closed on the last ogre, hoping to get to him before it could recover.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Liberty's Edge

There's a large ragged flag.

Antonio's sword slides off of the thick armor.

Is the flag raised or on the ground? I ask because I wonder if shooting it and setting it on fire would stop them from raising an alarm.

Liberty's Edge

Reiko can't see it, from where he is...but it is fire damaged, from the splash.

Not a terribly big deal though, since I already posted Reiko's round 1 action.

Liberty's Edge

The ogre would be signaling, but Antonio's presence proves to be an interesting distraction.

Gonna EAT da PASTE dats left!

Slammin' big club: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
into soft parts: 2d8 + 7 ⇒ (6, 6) + 7 = 19

The ogre wheels, raising the club high (making Antonio dizzy from his pit stench) then brings it down in a sideways arc meant to crush delicate human ribs.

Liberty's Edge

Oh, crud. That's why I hammered RANGE.

Arya bolts up the mountainside even before Tania finishes voicing her frustrations, but it takes a lot longer than the two arrows Tania looses.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (6, 4) + 8 = 18

Crit?: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Again, the second strikes true, deep into the ogre's side.

The ogre snarls and grimaces.

Liberty's Edge

We're into round two.

Well, that had been absolutely awful. Sakuro was already moving forward as best she could, trying to remain hidden... though, really, that was of limited help when you were also moving forward. Instead, the Arcanist girl focused her power as she moved, just in case. She couldn't simply stand by and do nothing, but she could at least do her best with the powers she had.

Advance 30 feet. Ready Action: Cast Grease if the Ogres approach within range (30 feet of her).

Inquisitor 2 | 10/21 | Init +4 | Perc +9 | AC:16 Tch:11 FF:15 | Fort +6 Ref +1 Will +6 | CMD:14 |

Alchemists Fire: 1d6 ⇒ 3

With Varuk's bolt, and Reiko's arrow, the ogre collapses. Alyra has had to slow her approach, but is awkwardly still moving forward.

Can someone help guide me?

Female Elf Wizard

Aya hurries to Alyra and offers her hand to assist. We then move to the Ogres' bodies. She places Alyra's hand on Antonio's body. Antonio took a severe blow and is not moving.

How is he? Can you heal him? he calls to Alyra while taking a defensive stance near them, and watching the area for more ogre threats.

As soon as she arrives, Alyra speaks words of power and touches Antonio's side, and the healing power visibly flows into him.

"Did we win?" He asked as he grabbed up his sword again, looking around for enemies.

Liberty's Edge

Yes, Tania growls, glaring at Antonio.

Liberty's Edge

Hours go by.
