Ricdak Soulaxe |
Sounds good to me, Tam.
Ricdak moves within charging range as well, 45 feet away, using his weapon in reach mode as was stated, hypes himself into a frenzy (He rages), and readies an action to attack a lion if he's spotted.
Stealth, which I forgot:1d20 ⇒ 3
If he gets attacked, I'm pretty sure that it should go: Readied attack and attack of opportunity (for moving through reach, unless they have reach, then the cat's attack. I'll put down both attack rolls, using power attack and Reckless Abandon, for a net -2 AC +6 damage, leaving him with a 14 AC.
AoO: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Damage: 1d10 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23
Readied Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
Damage: 1d10 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 21
13/14 Rounds of rage remaining
Mus'ad |
The queries of Joe are met with merely a response of "They lie in our path, and I do not think we can walk before them freely. Therefore they must simply be put down."
Mus'ad waits with bow in hand until the others are in what position they may adopt, he then takes a bead on the nearest lion and seeks to lay an arrow into it's flank...
Bowshot (from 110ft distant): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 for 1d8 ⇒ 3
Pavok Kor'tell |
Pavok dismounts his mount as well and draws his Chakram and holding his double spear in his other hand. Waiting for the lions to enter within the threat range will whip the disc at one that enters 30 foot range.
"Remember to strike precise and powerful like the hammer blows of a great smith." He looks over to Arik and gives him a wink and readies for battle.
Stealth:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Chakram toss:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Damage:1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Pavok Kor'tell |
As Pavok stands ready for a fight, Samal's words wash over him and he starts to stand down. "She is right, it's only nature. The circumstances would be different if the creatures were controlled by the Anubinite." Pavok shakes his head in disspointment of himself letting the others battle lust geared up for a fight.
Catalina_Hakîm |
Catalina, since her companions have decided to jump into battle, casts Tegan in the air before falling into place. Stealth:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 She draws he bow before addressing Samal, "I too find no point in this attack, but now it seems we are forced to defend ourselves..."
I'm going to wait for one of the lionesses to attack someone before attacking.
Shanosuke |
Okay the lionesses are aware of Ricdak and Tam. The two are sadly close enough to be victims. The lionesses charge both. Two to each with the remaining cats moving around.
The first lioness bites the dust at the AoO and readied attack from Ricdak.
Second cat's attacks on Ricdak
Bite 21 to hit for 12 damge. 22 to grapple. Claws: 17 to hit for 7 and 11 to hit for 8
Tam's turn to take it. Pounce is a nasty ability
Lion number one.
Bite: 22 to hit for 7 damage 25 to grapple. 8 Claws:13 for 6 and 19 to hit for 7
Second lioness.
Bite: 12 for 10 damage with a 20 to grapple. 2 claw attacks 19 to hit for 8 and 24 to hit for 8 damage
Wow thats a lot of damage. Hope you guys being at level four helps.
Okay one lion down.
Ricdak and Tam are surrounded. Next volley will be narsty.
Ricdak Soulaxe |
I'm fine. I woulda been in trouble had the first one got to me. After DR, I've only taken 15 points of damage. 56/71 HP remaining.
Ricdak drops his Dorn-Dergar, drawing his Dwarven-Waraxe as a move action, and he attacks with it.
Power attack and Reckless Abandon again
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Damage: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
12/14 Rounds of Rage Remaining.
Arik Bryn |
Arik had readied a charge to aid the first ally hit. Wouldn't that go off before the lioness' attacks?
Arik see the cat's muscles twitch and he charges at the same moment, roaring his rage, and hoping to intercept.
Charge attack 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27 for 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Mus'ad |
Mus'ad goads Al Gasreed into action and rides along the flank of the conflict, leaning down from the saddle to deliver a raking slash along one of the lionesses flanks...
Ride-by Charge attack: 1d20 + 8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 4 + 1 = 26 for 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
So I'll end up out of melee contact and past the lionesses by some distance.
Catalina_Hakîm |
Catalina aims and releases an arrow at one of the lionesses attacking Ricdak and Tam, before pulling out another from her quiver and releasing that.
I'll be using Deadly Aim and Rapid Fire.
Arrow1:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Arrow2:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
She gives a quick whistle and Tegan, who'd been circling above, turns in nose down and descends on the cats.
Talon1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 for 1d4 ⇒ 3
Talon2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 for 1d4 ⇒ 4
Shanosuke |
I am going to assume Joe is watch but if he would act then he can add two rounds worth of actions
A nice volley of attacks from you all drops two more lionesses and injures at least one more.
I am putting Mus'ad and Pavok on the lions fighting Tam and Arik, Tegan and Catalina on the lions facing Ricdak.
Samal seeing her new friend Tam in danger races to his aid baring down on one lion with her claws.
There is only one injured lion left on Ricdak and two on Tam
The one lion leaps on Ricdak and Bites score a 23 for 10 damage. Then two claws: 12 to hit for 9 and 15 to hit for 7 damage.
The one lion attacks Samal dealing 19 damage to the lamia.
The final lion attacks Tam. Bite: 18 to hit for 8 damage and two claws, 16 to hit for 7 damage and 25 to hit for 8 damage.
The cats are finished it is now your turns.
Joe, like I said you can take an action for both rounds. You have an easy charge to either group of lions if you wish.
Ricdak Soulaxe |
Eh, I'll just assume I'm still in it's clutches. If not, I'll be two handing, and you can add another 5 damage. Same PA/Reckless Abandon
Ricdak swings his axe wildly at the attacking lion, nearly frothing at the mouth as he yells, a true example of Dwarven Berzerker spirit. "HELP THE OTHERS! I'LL TAKE CARE O' MESELF!"
Attack1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Damage1d10 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
If it dies, drop the waraxe and pick up my dorn-dergar as a free and move action, respectively.
11/14 Rage rounds left. 14 AC. 43/71 HP remaining.
Edit: Added his yell.
Tam Hardwick |
HP: 14/32
Thankfully Tam's newly restored size and armor save him from the bite and one claw of the lion, but one manages to get through, slicing him further open. He cries out, more angry than pained. Stepping back 5 feet, he summons a hyena directly in front of him
Hyena bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Trip attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 VS CMD
Catalina_Hakîm |
Are there only 3-ish left now, right?
The Shoanti doesn't skip a beat. She pulls another arrow and releases it at the lioness attacking Tam.
Arrow1:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Arrow2:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Tegan, on the other hand, dips and lashes out at a lioness attacking Ricdak, screeching as he makes his incline. Catalina can't help but release a grin with pride for her feathered friend.
Talon1:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 for 1d4 ⇒ 3
Talon1:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 for 1d4 ⇒ 1
Shanosuke |
I meant the new one. There's still a lion on me, right? Is that one grappling me?
Yes there is a lion on you and no, It only attacked you this round. If you notice I did not post a grapple score. I rolled a 1 on the check so I figured it was negligible. If you want me to post all the scores thats fine just let me know. I am not going to use the dice roller though cause that reveals quite a bit of info when I do. Anyways, no you are not grappled.
Ricdak Soulaxe |
I just thought that you might have gotten it, even on a low roll. A 1 however, I don't think cuts it. My CMD is only.... That's higher than I thought. It's an 18. I didn't realize that. Ah, well. I wouldn't mind if you posted all the scores. It would be nice, but I suppose it really isn't necessary. Also, sorry to bother you. I didn't realize what went on (as can be seen).
Joe "Mac" MacGillicuddy |
Joe wouldn't have done anything on Round 1. So will go with Round 2.
Round 2
Seeing Tam get mauled fairly nasty, Joe gets a little irritated at the fact they are even in this predicament and charges the animal.
Charge the one on Tam.
AC 15
Mwk. SwitchScythe: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 11 + 2 = 22
Damage: 2d4 + 12 ⇒ (1, 4) + 12 = 17
Tam Hardwick |
Tam, after seeing the others end the lions, shudders. He attempts to summon his demon ape, but the form wavers and does not fully appear. He quickly casts lesser rejuvenate eidolon to heal it
LRE: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
LRE: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
LRE: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
With three castings, the form of the Ape is healed. It fades away, translucent but intact and Tam breathes a sigh of relief. Only then does he seek to heal himself.
CLW potion: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
CLW potion: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
HP: 20/32
Catalina_Hakîm |
Catalina approaches the Halfling to address his wounds, "Hold still.." she whispers absentmindedly as she focuses fully on the condition the the smaller man.
Heal:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
"I admire your bravery, but perhaps rushing into a pack of lionesses was not the smartest thing to do." She smirks, finishing off the bandage, "There.. I am afraid its the best I can do. Can you stand?"
Pavok Kor'tell |
Pavok looks on to the animals and then to his two injured companions and shakes his head. He puts away his two saps and picks up his spear and apporaches the dwarf and halfling. He clutches his holy symbol and lets out an a few waves of energy to heal them. "Maybe we should restrain ourselves a little better next time, my healing is limited."
Lay on hands(to Ricdak):2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3
Cure Light wounds to Ricdack:1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
2 Channels of positive energy:2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8
Ricdak totaled healed:20 and everybody in 30ft healed 8
Ricdak Soulaxe |
Kolm stops raging as the last lion goes down. Panting a bit, he collects his dropped weapon. "That wasn't so bad," he says, wiping sweat from his brow. As Pavok starts healing him, he says "Ye should focus on the little one. I can more'n take a scratch, y'know," although he doesn't argue if you continue healing.
Unless you heed his advice and heal Tam instead, Ricdak's at 51/59.
Any that aren't actually dead, we should try and keep alive. If we decide to keep em for later, be it for food or whatever be the case, it'll keep 'em fresh, and if not, they'll be able to keep on living. With the others, we should decide what we're doin' with 'em mighty quick.
Catalina_Hakîm |
Catalina address the elf first, "I'm sure you can wait a moment for us to collect what we can. Otherwise, this kill would have been shamefully pointless." She then offers to the dwarf, "Your assistance would be much appreciated. Would you hold down the legs here..?" She thanks as she takes out a small knife, and beings cutting at the skin of a dead lioness, slicing it open and draining the blood. She begins to do what she can.
Survival:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
That should get me something, right? And are there any lionesses left alive?
Ricdak Soulaxe |
There should be some left alive. The second one that got to me would've had at least 7-8 rounds before it bled to death, I think. At least, if it's a standard lion. Pavok was beating one with NL damage, so that one should be alive. There might even be another one alive, I don't know. The only one I'm fairly sure is dead was the first one I hit.
Pavok Kor'tell |
Didn't realize the rage bonus will just use the two channels then and that should have everyone at a good amount of HP.
"Collect what you can from them before there friends come looking for them." Pavok stands ready with his spear incase more attack.
Perception:1d20 ⇒ 6
