Male Human Rogue 15/Shadowcaster 1

Azhar and Gravlax:
"Let's let our mages do the research and have the plan ready to go the minute it becomes necessary. Until then, let's enjoy our city... victory, good company, new love, all that good shit." Cassian breaks into a grin. "A street festival might be just what we need to celebrate. We could probably make up some kind of religious justification too."

Azhar and Cassian:
Gravlax slowly nods as Fiosa speaks.

"That makes me a lot more comfortable," he says. "I will still do some preparation, but if she is playing fair, I can let her live."

"Put me down for that street festival, too. Especially if it lasts long into the night. There's got to be a god or goddess that'll sponsor that one, right?"

Male Aasimar Ranger Skirmisher 16

Cassian and Gravlax:
"Now what is it? Rova, right? We must be coming up on First Brewing or Silverglazer Sunday." Azhar says licking his lips. Then a cloud briefly passes across his face and his eyes go off into the distance, "Cheliax." he says, drumming his fingers in contemplation. They stop and he snaps his fingers, "Signing Day. The second Oathday of Rova, if I remember correctly. That should be one the Chelaxian's don't object too." he smiles, "of course with General whatzis face away, I don't think anyone would object to some added late night debauchery...as long as we make sure property damage is kept to a minimum." a wide smile is growing on his face. Azhar seems to have relaxed a bit. Perhaps more than he should all things considered.

Cassian and Gravlax:
"By Chelaxians, I meant the governing or ruling, Asmodeus worshiping, control minded people in power Chelaxians, not all the people who happened to grow up in Cheliax, of course." he adds a little sheepishly after a couple moments contemplation.

Azhar and Gravlax:
"We're a fractious bunch," says Cassian agreeably, not looking the least bit offended. "All right, let's get this thing going, and we can take some much needed time off. And when we're done, we'll start this silly business of ruling Westcrown from our Shadow Council."

Rygel chirps. Cassian rolls his eyes, and deliberately says, "Rygel wants you to know that he came up with the name and will graciously allow all of us to live here under his protection."

Cassian turns to the monkey. "I said it. Happy?"

Rygel nods, whips his cape about him and vanishes. A moment later, he reappears, munching on a giant mango.

"I really should not have gotten him that cape."

Cassian and Azhar:
Gravlax nods. "I will get my part done. And I'm sure to be at the street festival. Hopefully doing more dancing than eating." He frowns a little. Shrugs.

Cassian and Gravlax:
Azhar rises and bows gracefully, "Thank you, your Majesty." he says doing a fairly good job of appearing sincere, "We will rest easy knowing you and yours have their keen eyes, ears and whiskers looking out for our best interest."
he turns to Cassian, "I don't know, he certainly enjoys it." he says with a smile.

Rova 13-15, 4712 - Something in the Air

As with many things in Westcrown, there is nothing overt in the planning for the Day of the Inheritor. Little hints of something more, spread in whispers and shadows.

Rumors that Chammady Drovenge, the new mayor of Westcrown, plans to look the other way if the celebration honoring native daughter Iomedae should spread into a week-long festival.

Are there any special preparations that you guys would like to have in place?

Cassian:
On Rova 14, when Crosael manages to break away from the hanger-ons and responsibilities of being Chammady, she slides into their suite of rooms. A happy little smile playing over her lips, "I think I've gotten the dottari to look the other way for post-curfew celebrations."

Her gold eyes are just a little shadowed, "I'm not as happy that the throne is sending an official to oversee the Days of Wrath ceremonies."

Male Human Rogue 15/Shadowcaster 1

Amongst the rumors, there is another... a golden monkey has been hidden somewhere in Westcrown. Follow clues cunningly hidden in plain sight all over the city and find the prize!

GM:
The prize, of course, is entry into the Golden Monkey Syndicate.

GM:
Cassian sweeps Crosael up into his arms. "Feels like I haven't seen you in months," he says, holding her close. "As for the official, the easiest thing to do would be to delay his arrival. If he comes by ship, a light bit of sabotage should do the trick. By road, and we can knock some trees over. He'll get here while the Days of Wrath are in full swing, but too late to spoil our fun."

Male Aasimar Ranger Skirmisher 16

Azhar is tempted, if only for the fun of it. He might even mention as much if the subject came up in conversation.

Cassian would feign ignorance of the whole thing while Rygel looked smug.

"And just how much might this "golden monkey" likely be worth, do you think? Don't suppose there's any rumor of it being an exceedingly rare item or exceedingly valuable to anyone in particular for any reason?" he says with a half smile. It sounds like he is still tossing the idea of looking into it around in his head, whether just for the challenge factor, because he wants to raise cash for one reason or another or both.

"Well, if such a thing were real... and mind I'm not saying it is... I'm fairly certain it would be rather small, and of little intrinsic value. However, whoever is good enough to find it would get to join an exclusive group." Cassian pauses. "You know, if such a thing were real."

Azhar smiles as pieces click into place, "Ah. Then [I]if it's real, I hope this group finds what they are looking for. It does sound like fun."[/b]
