Rygel points at the imp, then points at the rooms more emphatically, baring his teeth and chirping even louder.

Cassian rubs the back of his head. "He wants you to go in. I think he's hoping that if you kill something, it'll turn into something he can eat." The rogue shrugs apologetically. "I don't think he understands how they work."

She scrambles away from the monkey, perching on top of a ramshackle of broken chairs that should not be able to hold any weight... and probably wouldn't hold the imp if her wings were not beating wildly. "No food here except for rot." Her words directed towards Rygel. "Nothing needs it and only the glu...to... nous eat."

Cassian waits in the pregnant pause following Azhar's shrug.

"All right. At risk of starting up the debate again, here's what I think we do. Wake her up, ask her what she's doing, and if she lies or just won't spill, I'll kill her quickly."

He pauses. "Everyone okay with that scenario?"

Azhar looks at Rev, glances at the others and winces slightly.
His gaze returns to Rev. Decides it probably best to say nothing.

Spiral Stair to Nowhere

After stumbling through the heart, finding numerous dead ends of torture chambers and storage, finally you find a hallway that leads to more than just a single room.

The first chamber the hallway runs through is oddly shaped and empty of furnishings. A large, circular side chamber nearby contains what appears to be a weirdly flickering spiral staircase leading up into the shadowy shaft above.

Anyone who checks up the stairway:
About halfway up the stairs they start to feel pliant and soggy, your feet sinking into them. They continue to cling more yet feel less substantial as you climb.

Continue to go? See next spoiler.

If you were instructed to click:
If you continue to push up the ever-shadowing stairs they suddenly stop supporting you and you fall 30-feet to the floor.

And take 3d6 damage.

Spiral Stair to Nowhere

dice!:

3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 6) = 10

Gravlax climbs the staircase ... and falls off from a fairly decent height.

He doesn't land poorly, but he doesn't land well, either.

"Fades out about thirty feet up," he says, stretching his neck, and wincing.

"...could you hit me with that healing wand again?" he asks Amaya.

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Azhar stops as Gravlax falls through somewhere above him. He looks for an entrance or door above, fingering his grappling arrow and remaining rope. Seeing none, he turns around and comes back down. Stopping to make sure Gravlax is not overly injured.

The imp continues trying to evade the monkey, but is unable to keep out of the nimble creature's reach. She does however manage to wiggle out of the grooming often when Rygel gets a hold of her.

Livia, still pulling away from Rygel, looks at the pair. "What kind kind of question is that. All useful even not useful if useful."

Then she freezes, Rygel catching up instantly, "Find the talisman of the twin to sicken the devil."

And when her eyes clear, the imp looks utterly confused as to how the monkey managed to get such a solid hold on her.

Gravlax:
Gozran 14/post-snake
A low chuckle, the sound vibrating against his skin, her lips dipping lower, tongue teasing at the edge of his undergarments.

"Well... if we are bargaining... then what should I give to get the rest of the interfering clothes off?"

The Flawed One

Moving past the room with the stairs that go to nowhere but unfinished shadow stuffs the hallway leads to a chamber is filled with clutter and junk. Crates, old weapons, partially assembled suits of armor, statuettes, poorly preserved monstrous trophies, torture instruments, coils of chains, and more are piled ten feet high along the walls, oars and spears and flagpoles and ships’ masts pressing at angles across the room to support one wall with the other.

As the group looks around in the junk for any hidden treasures, a pathetic linen wrapped figure, a gaping hole where his jaw should be, pulls out of a shadowed niche. Feet rasping against the ground it seems to be pullng itself towards Rev.

See OOC board for a loot distribution.
The following are a single knowledge check.

K:religion DC 15:
The pathetic creature seems to be a mummy, although its jaw has been ripped from its body.

It is an undead creature highly resistant to physical damage but vulnerable to fire.

K:religion DC 20:

Cassian pauses. "Two things. If you have a better idea, share. But even if you don't, I'm not going to kill her if you don't want me to. I'm fine with doing the dirty work, but I'm not going to do it and then get branded as some kind of monster."

Azhar smiles, "I can see. The blindness was only temporary from the flash." concentrating on his opponents, he does not spare a glance for his brother, "you are at this dance, because I followed you, because every little bit extra can make a huge difference, because without you after I or the others fall down, we would be less likely to be able to get back up, and because you are my brother." he strikes at the elementals again. Both of the elemental drop to the floor as pretty, brilliant, perfectly matched fire pearls.

Jasl

"Jask, I spent every waking moment for months with her. I know the soft sound she makes when she's sleeping. I know how she cuts her food, which side of her mouth she chews on, which stars she likes to look at when she thinks no one is watching, and how she was entirely enchanted when I brought her pterodactyl from the brink of death. I know she saved Vixen and brought her to me to heal even though it was pretty much hopeless. I know she's risked her life for me. I know we had a connection, even if it terrified her." He has reaches the bottom of his flask.

"But there's nothing wrong with wanting to save your home. Even if it doesn't deserve you. After all, a frozen drop of water and a speck of dust can cause an avalanche." If the drinks have arrived, Rev partakes of his.

Should the mummy problem not be taken care of by this time, when Azhar passes through the flawed one room with the glaive, Azhar is on the receiving end of the same beseeching need from the undead creature.
