LOOT POST - Delvehaven I - Library and Nautica
SPECIAL
The following are books that will be sold with the Pathfinder Chronicles. However reading them beforehand grants special bonuses based on the book.
- The Shipwreck of Hoakrem Krin - +1 bonus on Knowledge (geography) and Survival checks and on all Fortitude saves
- Scorin Kastel and the Siege of Moenspire - +1 bonus on Disable Device and Knowledge (engineering) checks and on all Will saves
- The Lycanthropy of Evran Townsend - +2 bonus on Initiative checks and on Strength checks made to break or destroy objects
- Memoirs of a Hatchling Nursemaiden -ability to speak Draconic and a +1 bonus on Reflex saves
- The Imprisonment of Marcos Trom - +1 bonus on Escape Artist checks and a +2 bonus on concentration checks
There is no gp value for these claims however a single person can only benefit from the reading of ONE of these books. Priority goes to a PC who will be getting the bonus for himself. For any of the bonuses to go to an NPC the group as a whole has to decide.
if we're looking to increase strengths Azhar should probably take the Shipwreck of Hoakrem or secondarily the Lycanthropy of Evran Townsend
if we're looking to boost weaknesses, he should read the Scorin Kastel and the Siege of Moenspire to boost an atrocious Will saveclaim Shipwreck of Hoakrem Krin

octagonal continual flame gems x7 (120 gp each)
Claim on 3 of these.
The Lycanthropy of Evran Townsend - +2 bonus on Initiative checks and on Strength checks made to break or destroy objects
I think I'd like to read about Lycanthropy.
Which begs the question ... which NPC is best to read the Memoirs (Speak Draconic & +1 Reflex save)?
Gargoyle Hunters International
I am fine with going forward. And would rather find a boat than swim.

But that means no ice cold spring runoff or port water... spoilsport.

So far, none of the NPCs have Draconic as a language. As far as the NPCs you ping more often the following are their current (refelx) saving throws:
Amaya +7Fiosa +2
Janiven +9
Mathalen +8
Tarvi +2

The bare minimum would be a human sized hunk of cheese. Which we will call 50 gp. Everything beyond that is the artistry of the piece, which is up to you to decide.
150 would be a good basic human statue made of cheese (3x the base materials) above that would mean more detail.

Looking it up, it appears the rule in the book is:
"Some spells have a target or targets. You cast these spells on creatures or objects, as defined by the spell itself. You must be able to see or touch the target, and you must specifically choose that target. You do not have to select your target until you finish casting the spell."

Zsz would inform Gravlax that it's close to 10,000 years old, and he might not want to wear it around any orcs who happen to have a history degree.

Oh, one of those. I think I don't want it, then. The grapes were probably haunted anyway.

Just to be clear, out of character, 99.99% of people you are likely to meet would have phrased that as "dwarves who see you wearing it may be impressed and ask about its provenance". Zsz just happens to be in the other 0.01%.

Each PC get 950 gp. And Amaya would like to buy O-yori from the group (unless there is an objection).

By Jonathon Coulton, but posted here for Cassian:
In a town in the woods at the top of a hill
There's a house where no one lives
So you take a big bag of your big city money there and buy it
But at night when the house is dark
And you're all alone, there's a noise upstairs
At the top of the stairs there's a door and you take a deep breath and try it
And the flashlight shows you something moving just inside the door
There's a tattered dress and a feeling you have felt somewhere before
And there's a creepy doll
That always follows you
It's got a ruined eye
That's always open
And there's a creepy doll
That always follows you
It's got a pretty mouth
To swallow you whole
So you scream and you close the door
And you tell yourself it was just a dream
In the morning you head into town cause you want to go antiquing
In the store there's a strange old man
With a wandering eye and a withered hand
When he hands you the old wooden box you can hear his old bones creaking
And you know what you will find inside the moment that you see
That someone's carved your name into the tarnished silver key
And there's a creepy doll
That always follows you
It's got a ruined eye
That's always open
And there's a creepy doll
That always follows you
It's got a pretty mouth
To swallow you whole
When you come home late the doll is waiting up for you
And when you fix a snack the doll says it would like one too
The doll is in your house and in your room and in your bed
The doll is in your eyes and in your arms and in your head and you are crazy
Now it's late and you head downstairs
Cause you just can't sleep so you make some tea
And the doll disapprovingly asks if you really need that much honey
You decide that you've had enough
And you lock the doll in the wooden box
You put the box in the fireplace next to your bag of big city money
As the smoke fills up your tiny room there's nothing you can do
Far too late you see the one inside the box is you
And there's a creepy doll
That always follows you
It's got a ruined eye
That's always open
And there's a creepy doll
That always follows you
It's got a pretty mouth
To swallow you whole
