Male Human Summoner 3 (Pavro HP 25/25; AC 18/12/16; F +2 R +3, W +2, Init +2, Perception -1) (Aressa HP 24/24; AC 22/12/20; F +4 R +5, W +0; Init +2; Perception +6)

Nice! I'm wondering if I should roll Aressa's HP, but I'm too chicken, she's got too few hp and a low roll would make her far too splattable.

Okay level up stuff...

Pavro gains...
1 BAB, which ups his attack - +1 to hit with his MW Dagger now, quail in fear! - CMB and CMD.
8 hp, 6 from the roll, 1 con, 1 favored class.
Will save goes up by 1, please note it was incorrectly listed as -1 previously, it should have been +1 and is now +2.
Spells known, 1st Rejuvenate Eidolon, Lesser, 0th Mage Hand and Daze Person - I had one fewer cantrip than I should have known for some reason.
3 skill points, one in bluff, one in diplomacy, and one in spellcraft, these skills going to 11, 11, and 4 respectively.

Aressa gains..
1 BAB, which ups her attack, CMB and CMD.
7 HP, 6 from half+1 of hd and 1 from con.
4 skill points, 2 in acrobatics, 1 in stealth, and one in perception those skills going to 7, 7, and 5 respectively.
1 evolution. Trades in Improved natural Armor and spends two points getting a +2 Str increase.
+1 Str and Dex
+2 Natural Armor (which essentially offsets loosing the Improved Natural Armor evolution)
Evasion - yay!

Male Human Summoner 3 (Pavro HP 25/25; AC 18/12/16; F +2 R +3, W +2, Init +2, Perception -1) (Aressa HP 24/24; AC 22/12/20; F +4 R +5, W +0; Init +2; Perception +6)

What does everyone think about chipping in for a Wand of Cure Light Wounds btw? 750gp split 6 ways is 125gp each, thoughts?

M Tengu Gunslinger (Pistolero) 3 / HP 20/22, NLD 0, Grit 1/4, AC 17, Touch 15, Flat 12, F +2, R +7, W +5 / Init +6 (+4 if no grit left), Perc +13, low-light vision

I'm not messing around with dice rolls lol. 1d10/2 = 5+1=6 -1 CON = +5 HP
+9 HP from 1st level + 2 favored class hp (forgot to take a FC reward last level :P)
= 16 HP total

New Skill Ranks:

+1 rank Craft (alchemy)
+1 rank Handle Animal
+1 rank Kn (local)
+1 rank Perception

New Class Feature:

Nimble:
Nimble (Ex) Starting at 2nd level, a gunslinger gains a +1 dodge bonus to AC while wearing light or no armor. Anything that causes the gunslinger to lose her Dexterity bonus to AC also causes the gunslinger to lose this dodge bonus. This bonus increases by +1 for every four levels beyond 2nd level (to a maximum of +5 at 20th level).

Shopping Spree!:

300 gp upgrading battered pistol to masterwork ( 1 day of work)
180 gp alchemical cartridges (paper) x30 (crafted by me, takes 1 day of work to craft up to 1k gp of ammo)
110 gp light horse (war-trained)
020 gp military saddle
004 gp saddlebags
002 gp bit and bridle
000.15 gp feed (3 days)
125 gp toward wand of CLW
=759.15 gp spent (241.85 gp pocket money)

EDIT 2: Alright, I'm chipping in for the wand! :)

That's fine with me, Avian.

Male Human Summoner 3 (Pavro HP 25/25; AC 18/12/16; F +2 R +3, W +2, Init +2, Perception -1) (Aressa HP 24/24; AC 22/12/20; F +4 R +5, W +0; Init +2; Perception +6)

There's not much I want to purchase for Pavro at the moment so if anyone wants to borrow some cash please feel free, it will serve us better in party equipment than sitting in Ameiko's vault. I'm saving :)

So if Avian wants to get that MW falcata I'm happy to lend him the gold.

Male Human Scholar 3 (HP 18/23, AC 17/16/11, F+1 R+5 W+6 (+1 vs divine), Init +2, Perc +9, +1 to find traps)

Okay, so loot and leveling.

Everyone has approximately 700 gp in equipment, 300 gp for a masterwork weapon.

Severus continues to advance as a scholar, which interestingly enough I am having a blast playing so far.

1d8 ⇒ 8 hitpoints
+11 skillpoints (including favored bonus)

2 ranks in knowledge (local)
2 ranks in knowledge (geography)
1 rank in knowledge (nature)
1 rank in knowledge (history)
1 rank in knowledge (arcane)
1 rank in disable device
1 rank in perception
1 rank in sense motive
1 rank in heal

Base Atk +1
Ref +1
Will +1

Evasion
Tough-Minded

Scholar Secret: Hmmm. Have to think a bit. I like too many of them. I was digging the animal companion one a bit, but I might have to be fourth level before I can take that one. It says I'm treated as a druid with -2 levels for the purposes of animal companion. :( Not sure how to interpret that.

If we need more healing, which is how I was originally going to run him, before Marcoul joined as a cleric, I could go the medical route.

Male Human Summoner 3 (Pavro HP 25/25; AC 18/12/16; F +2 R +3, W +2, Init +2, Perception -1) (Aressa HP 24/24; AC 22/12/20; F +4 R +5, W +0; Init +2; Perception +6)

Oh I see its including... Bum. I don't suppose we can take the money instead? Pavro's keeping his for flavor reasons despite it being about as useful as a chocolate fireguard to him - maybe one day, in the distant future, I'll make it defending.

Male Human Scholar 3 (HP 18/23, AC 17/16/11, F+1 R+5 W+6 (+1 vs divine), Init +2, Perc +9, +1 to find traps)

Incidently what is the deal with magic item availability here, set list, percentage chance, buy whatever you like? And can we use Ultimate Equipment items, that's what the new books called right?

Given it's location and being a base for adventurers, I'm going to go with the following. 1st level potions, scrolls and wands are easy enough to acquire for the vast majority of spells (If you want a spell from an oddball source, it will be harder to find) and don't require a roll. Likewise, it is pretty simple to find masterwork armor and weapons for the common armor and weapons. Everything else has a percentage chance of being around at the time. 75% for 500 gp or less(village limit), 65% for 500-1k(small town limit), 55% for 1k-2k(large town limit), 35% for 2k-4k(small city limit), 15% for 4k-8k (large city limit), 5% for 8k-16k (metropolis limit). Anything beyond that gets sent to Magnimar and is not kept in town. You can also commission/order specific items and have them made/shipped in; how much game time that takes is item and campaign dependent; i.e. talk to me if you want that option, I'll figure out what it would require in terms of time and money. You'll find I generally don't mind giving access to the lower level magic stuff, but the higher end stuff is going to take more effort.

And using Ultimate Equipment is fine.

Male Human (Taldan) Paladin 3 (hp 31/31; AC 18, t 11, ff 17; Fort +7/ Ref +4/ Will +6; Init +1; Per +2)

I'll update my equipment a bit later. It's funny how I get an aversion to certain things in-game depending on what I'm writing. When I was working on NeoExodus Chronicles: Usual Suspects, I was running the Second Darkness AP for my group, updating things to Pathfinder as I went along. I absolutely hated having to redo stat blocks for NPCs, because that's all I was doing in my writing was creating NPC stat blocks.

Now I'm working on an equipment book and I really don't feel like going through and buying equipment... =/

The Voice of Wisdom can I get a ruling before this comes up in game.

How do Spellstrike and Frostbite (or chill touch) interact after the first round?

It seems clear to me for the first round I can channel the spells through my melee weapon however what about the second and later rounds? The two extremes seem to be:
A:Can continue to use the touch spell through the melee weapon
B:Touch spell is now on hand and can only be used with a touch attack with the hand.

I'm happy with either or another option but I think A is more interesting as B would make both spells close to useless in a level or two.

Spellstrike says: At 2nd level, whenever a magus casts a spell with a range of “touch” from the magus spell list, he can deliver the spell through any weapon he is wielding as part of a melee attack. Instead of the free melee touch attack normally allowed to deliver the spell, a magus can make one free melee attack with his weapon (at his highest base attack bonus) as part of casting this spell. If successful, this melee attack deals its normal damage as well as the effects of the spell. If the magus makes this attack in concert with spell combat, this melee attack takes all the penalties accrued by spell combat melee attacks. This attack uses the weapon's critical range (20, 19–20, or 18–20 and modified by the keen weapon property or similar effects), but the spell effect only deals ×2 damage on a successful critical hit, while the weapon damage uses its own critical modifier.

Frostbite says: Your melee touch attack deals 1d6 points of nonlethal cold damage + 1 point per level, and the target is fatigued. The fatigued condition ends when the target recovers from the nonlethal damage. This spell cannot make a creature exhausted even if it is already fatigued. You can use this melee touch attack up to one time per level.

Chill Touch say: A touch from your hand, which glows with blue energy, disrupts the life force of living creatures. Each touch channels negative energy that deals 1d6 points of damage. The touched creature also takes 1 point of Strength damage unless it makes a successful Fortitude saving throw. You can use this melee touch attack up to one time per level.

An undead creature you touch takes no damage of either sort, but it must make a successful Will saving throw or flee as if panicked for 1d4 rounds + 1 round per caster level.

Male Human Summoner 3 (Pavro HP 25/25; AC 18/12/16; F +2 R +3, W +2, Init +2, Perception -1) (Aressa HP 24/24; AC 22/12/20; F +4 R +5, W +0; Init +2; Perception +6)

Usual of course its the DMs opinion that matters disclaimer :) But, did some reading up on this as I'm building a Magus and the prevailing opinion seems to be that its pretty clear the Magus gets to make all the attacks through spellstrike. I think Grick's breakdown here is quite helpful...

Grick wrote:

Magus with +6/+1 BAB and Haste.

Round 1:
Begin Spell Combat (Full round action)
Cast Chill Touch
Take a 5' step
Use Spellstrike to deliver the free touch attack (that casting a touch spell granted you) with your sword. Hit orc, and chill him.
Take normal full attack routine with your weapon. Make three attacks, each one that hits also chills the target.

Round 2:
Begin Spell Combat (Full round action)
Take normal full attack routine with your weapon. Make three attacks, each one that hits also chills the target.
Cast Shocking Grasp defensively (Any remaining charge from Chill Touch now dissipates)
Use Spellstrike to deliver the free touch attack (that casting a touch spell granted you) with your sword. Hit orc and zap him.

So its worth noting that using another spell dissipates any remaining charges, but otherwise seems to be a nice refresh for these spells - which I've never had much time for.

My Magus is going to spam Touch of Fatigue at low levels to get a nice free attack - gained through the Magic of Two Worlds Trait. Of course you can do the same thing with Arcane Mark, and be Zoro, but I'd rather fatigue a foe than grafiti him!

That seems as good a way of handling it as any. I reserve the right to adjust it should that be necessary, but I don't foresee any particular difficulties for now. Once you start getting magic weapons, and dealing with elemental enchantments, I may have to adjust things, but really that is the only potential problem I see with it right now.

Male Human Scholar 3 (HP 18/23, AC 17/16/11, F+1 R+5 W+6 (+1 vs divine), Init +2, Perc +9, +1 to find traps)

I think I'll take Trapfinding as my scholar secret.

And a masterwork hand crossbow with my remaining funds.

I'll do a solid post shortly. Trying to make do on my iPhone right now.

Just to let you all know, I do have a job again, and my posting will change in both time of day and amounts of times per day, though I should still be able to easily hit the 1/day mark.

Male Human Summoner 3 (Pavro HP 25/25; AC 18/12/16; F +2 R +3, W +2, Init +2, Perception -1) (Aressa HP 24/24; AC 22/12/20; F +4 R +5, W +0; Init +2; Perception +6)

Congrats VOW, hope its something good, though as I am only too aware these are take what you can get times...

It's a job, can't say much more than that. At least the training portion will be short since it's the job I just left two months ago, and most of the chaos that had been going on has been straightened out. I am not looking forward to working overnights again, though. They make doing anything during the day extremely difficult.

Male Human Summoner 3 (Pavro HP 25/25; AC 18/12/16; F +2 R +3, W +2, Init +2, Perception -1) (Aressa HP 24/24; AC 22/12/20; F +4 R +5, W +0; Init +2; Perception +6)

I am pretty sure eidolons don't have to eat, but Aressa likes to, afterall eating is a pleasant experience as well as a necessary one for most of us.

Sorry about the lack of posts, just got home from a trip and the wife wants attention. I'll post when I can.

Male Human (Taldan) Paladin 3 (hp 31/31; AC 18, t 11, ff 17; Fort +7/ Ref +4/ Will +6; Init +1; Per +2)

Okay, shopping time:

oil of bless weapon 50gp
potion of jump 50gp
potion of protection from evil 50gp
2 flasks of holy water 50gp
masterwork chainmail 300gp
quiver of 20 arrows 2gp
50 feet of silk rope 10gp
1 torch 1cp
saddle bags 4gp
five days of rations 2gp, 5sp
1 chest 10gp
1 good lock 80gp

The rest of the money is going into the chest, which I'll ask either the Sheriff or Ameiko to hold for me when we're out of town.

Male Human Scholar 3 (HP 18/23, AC 17/16/11, F+1 R+5 W+6 (+1 vs divine), Init +2, Perc +9, +1 to find traps)

Severus will also purchase a chest and good lock (90 gp) and place 75 of his remaining gold in the chest.

(gold on hand: 31.9 gp)

Is there a bank in Sandpoint?

There's a vault in the basement of the town hall that serves as the town bank. Plans to build a proper one have never panned out for various reasons.

Male Human Scholar 3 (HP 18/23, AC 17/16/11, F+1 R+5 W+6 (+1 vs divine), Init +2, Perc +9, +1 to find traps)

How about a Merchant's Guild? Someplace to invest... :)

The closest thing that I can think of to a merchant's guild is the mercantile league. The description of Sandpoint and notable places and people is on the campaign tab. I would suggest reading through it, and seeing if anything jumps out at you as something or someone you want to support.

Male Human Scholar 3 (HP 18/23, AC 17/16/11, F+1 R+5 W+6 (+1 vs divine), Init +2, Perc +9, +1 to find traps)

Good to know. I'll think about it and get back to you. For now, just storing it in the town hall's vault (is it stone, wood, or metal?) might be a good idea.

If it's wood, it might not be as good an idea. If the goblin nonsense is to continue, town fires seem likely in the future.

I would guess stone or heavy iron for the vault, and judging by the appearance on the map, I would say stone for the building as a whole.

The info dump from Shelelu is posted under the campaign tab. I put it there because it's easier to find in the future (and it will be referenced to a fair degree) than if it was buried in the game posts.

It's a touch spell so you can channel it through your weapon and use it to get a second attack.

I think its pretty reasonable for us to claim the mercenaries and goblins gear after the fact. The workers have been asked to stay outside, and we are not being paid any other way so it seems pretty reasonable. I think we need to offer up the Kaijitsu's possessions to Ameiko, presuming she survives.

Sorry everyone, SAD is really kicking me down these days. My sleeping hours are so messed up right now, its not funny. Wake up at 6 PM thinking its 11 PM, wake up at 11 PM thinking its 6 AM. Wake up at 6 AM thinking its midnight. Fun.

On the topic of selling stuff if others are happy to give thandion credit he'd like to buy all the mercenary's equipment at what ever price they could hwve got elsewhere.

Just to give folks a heads up, my posting the next few weeks is about to get challenged, and may be spottier than usual due to working one full time job and another job that could easily be full time hours as well, depending on how things go. Once the holidays are over, everything should return to normal.
