May I present Norjan Slinaria <-- Click here for full character.

Human Fighter(Two Weapon Warrior)/4 - Monk of Many Styles/2

Preferred fighting style is two picks.

HP: 3d10 + 2d8 ⇒ (6, 9, 8) + (8, 2) = 33

Note, I took the Alternate Racial Trait Dual Talent which results in losing the Bonus Feat and Extra Skill Points, but gives me two Stats at +2.

I am not posting with this character until selected so that I can delete the Avatar if not chosen.

As far as posting goes, lets just say I post way too much, so keeping up should not be an issue.


Gear done up. Now for the paragraph.

Wrapped in blood-stained bandages and covered by a dark cloak, Ichabod has come to town to investgate the recent troubles. At a young age, his skin began to bleed and strange abiltiies manifested. Feeling the call to arms, but shunned by the millita, Ichabod shed his last name and took tot he road to develop his skills.

Here are my spellcraft rolls to try to copy the scrolls into my spellbook. Spellcraft is +14 and Conjuration spells get an additional + 2.

Air Bubble modifier is +16, so I auto succeed on that one.
Magic Weapon 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22
Silent Image 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
Reduce Person 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32

Acid Arrow modifier is +16, so I auto succeed on it.
Summon Swarm is +16 as I auto succeed.
Bull's Strength 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23
Knock 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18

Aqueous Orb 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20
Fly 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29

Good. I got them all.


Guess Icabhod will be pulling healing duties.

Perhaps good battle tactics would be for Jediah to draw attacks and Talulah tumble around for SA.


There is still time on the recruitment a cleric or paladin type would be a solid entry.

I THINK I got this right. The +5 jump in DEX is because I put ALL of the bonuses I could into it, being my lvl 4 ability score boost, and the human racial boost. On top of this, there's a Belt of Incredible Dexterity +2 (is this ok, Baldwin?) which should have brought it up to 22. If I messed anything up in here, please let me know and I'll edit before we start.

Kirito jumped the gun a little bit on moving over to the discussion thread. He is in the running for the last spot. I do think a cleric or Pally would be a nice fit.

I'm going to hold the recruitment thread open a bit longer for that last spot. If you are interested in playing a fast paced game with a DM that won't let the game fizzle out. The other game that I run, CoT, started at the end of May and we are approaching 6000 posts. This could be the game for you.


My friend will apply when he gets in from camping this afternoon. I can guarantee you his character will be a holy beast!

Hello. I am very interested in joining in and am excited about the pace of the game. Your party rogue contacted me about a possible cleric/pally opening. I have a cleric I would like to introduce and will post him here later this afternoon for review unless I hear you are full. He needs to be leveled to 6th, but can be ready quickly.


I suspect that there will be much running away in this module.

Yep. Very close. Gotta make a new avatar and paste stats into it. Here are my hit point rolls. As I understand it we get full at first and a die roll plus +1 after, right?

Full Plate but a haversack for about everything else. At least its masterwork and enchanted Full plate. I would have considered mithral, even at the 9K additional price tag, but that is above the single item limit. Strength drain will not be my friend. :)


I have an idea for a crazy human cleric that's godless. he'd be chaotic good with the madness (subdomain nightmare) domain, and the liberation domain. he'd do silly things like trying to hide under his cloak in plain sight, and woulda kinda babble on. i'll hammer out the details later, but i'd love feedback, especially if it's ok to be godless (or if somebody had any idea of a god that fit this, that'd b cool too)

can you post your gear weight?

small character with an 8 strength carrying capacity is:
(double check my math)

19.5 or less - light
20.25-39.75 - med.
40.5-60lb - heavy


Sure. I use Heroforge so I am pretty sure it is right, but as a exercise here it is.

+1 Darkwood Shield, Heavy Wooden 2.5 lbs
+1 Full Plate - 25 lbs
Cold Iron Morningstar - 3 lbs
Scimitar - 2 lbs
Cloak of Resistance, +2 - 0.5 lbs
Headband of Alluring Charisma, +2, .5 lbs
Ring of Protection, +1 - n/a
Wand of Bless - n/a
Wand of Restoration, Lesser - n/a
Wrist sheath, spring loadedX2 with wands- .5 lbs

Handy Haversack 2.5 lbs - Gear, money, holy water, potions, and portable altar inside.

I get 36.5 lbs. Heroforge says 37.5 lbs. Not sure where the difference is (maybe those wands?), but also not sure it matters.

Any issues?
