Haven't read all the gameplay thread (don't wanna know stuff Char wouldn't)

I see a Cleric, Oracle, Fighter/Monk and A conjurer.

Figured a Backup Melee/Scout/Skillmonkey would work.

Look in the Avatar if I am Missing anything.
Basically though Varrel is a Glass Cannon Bladebound Hexcrafter Magus.

7 Skills per level
Hexes- Slumber (useless on Undead but owns stuff that can be affected)
Flight.

Varrel is a Magical Rogish killer type.
Hope you like him.

Does anyone have any objections to my SLUMBER HEX?

There are numerous threads about how an unlimited use save or sleep (once per target) with no HD cap is overpowering.

Usual combo would be Varrel/Sweet scout or spot single bad buy.
Varrel slumbers DC18 (10+1/2 level+Int) followed by CDG.

If no one (including DM) feels this is a problem, then all good.
I read from the Campaign info this will maybe have quite a few undead. Slumber is mind affecting so maybe if it is not always useable it will be fine.

If somebody does object, I will swap it for Misfortune (1/day foe must make 2 rolls whenever one is called for and take worst result.) Still pretty sweet for the Wizard (affects enemy save) and avoiding enemy attacks.

Guys, in the interest of not getting into the whole 'slumber is overpowering bit I have swapped it for EVIL EYE.

Fortune is also nice. Being able to reroll once per round to attempt to get more crits with mx x4 picks would be nice.

Ditto. But with undead and vermin (the worm) and extra plainer types, like the demons on the door, it may be that the sleep hex would not be that handy.

You can hit demons with mind affecting. I went with evil eye since it lasts multiple rounds. (minimum 1)
For Me at least the hexes are something I use to preserve spells.
Particularly in a Meat Grinder, it's helps with combat endurance.

The Ill Omen spell does the same thing as Misfortune (mind affecting) but offers no save and lasts 2 rounds at this level.

Cackle is the hex you need. Then Fortune and Misfortune are extended forever.

If flight were not so important to me or If this was an AP they would be my first choices.
I usually go straight hexcrafter and familiar over bladebound. The action economy is heaps better and you get an arcana at 3rd instead of 6.

But the free +2 weapon is nice as well.
