She holds her nose and says, "Well...where there's wine, there's usually drinking, and where there's drinking there's usually trouble. Maybe Abby and Jerrica should go first? As Abby said, maybe we'll find some answers in here."

"Somebody needs to turn the lights on for me down there," Jerrica says. "One of the problems of being human, y'know."

Let us be led by wisdom!
Telsyn casts Dancing Lights for his human friend.
Female Half-Orc Bloodrager 7 HP: 84/84; AC: 17,T: 10, FF: 16; Fort: +9, Ref: +4, Will: +4; Init: +0; Perception: +10
Derika lights a torch and hands it to Jerrica, "There ya go."
Female Half-Orc Bloodrager 7 HP: 84/84; AC: 17,T: 10, FF: 16; Fort: +9, Ref: +4, Will: +4; Init: +0; Perception: +10
I thought you were leaving? Lol
Female Human Rogue (Unchained) 4; HP: 27/27; AC: 18, FF: 13, T: 15; F: +2, R: +8, W: +2; Init: +4; Perception: +8
Jerrica descends down the stairs, guided by Telsyn's light and aided by Derika's torch.
The basement is a simple affair. Several open wine barrels are set up against one of the walls. Otherwise, there is nothing else of note here.
Female Half-Orc Bloodrager 7 HP: 84/84; AC: 17,T: 10, FF: 16; Fort: +9, Ref: +4, Will: +4; Init: +0; Perception: +10
She looks around, "I'm not sure there is anything down here that might give us a clue as to what that spirit's problem is."
Female Human Rogue (Unchained) 4; HP: 27/27; AC: 18, FF: 13, T: 15; F: +2, R: +8, W: +2; Init: +4; Perception: +8
Jerrica looks around the basement. "We've searched everywhere else."
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Jerrica notices one of the walls looks newer than the others.
Female Human Rogue (Unchained) 4; HP: 27/27; AC: 18, FF: 13, T: 15; F: +2, R: +8, W: +2; Init: +4; Perception: +8
"Oy! Thangrom!" Jerrica calls. "Can you see what's the deal with this wall?"

Thangrom shrugs, walking over to the wall and making a big deal of examining it. "Yep, it's a wall," he snarks.
Female Human Rogue (Unchained) 4; HP: 27/27; AC: 18, FF: 13, T: 15; F: +2, R: +8, W: +2; Init: +4; Perception: +8
"Har har. What? You don't know anything about stonework?"

This dwarf is defective, we should exchange him. lol
Female Half-Orc Bloodrager 7 HP: 84/84; AC: 17,T: 10, FF: 16; Fort: +9, Ref: +4, Will: +4; Init: +0; Perception: +10
After looking at the part of the wall that Jerrica indicates she says, "Why don't we just break it and see what's behind it?"
Female Human Rogue (Unchained) 4; HP: 27/27; AC: 18, FF: 13, T: 15; F: +2, R: +8, W: +2; Init: +4; Perception: +8
"That's probably a good idea," Jerrica says. "But I'm not a wall-smashing kind of girl."
Female Half-Orc Bloodrager 7 HP: 84/84; AC: 17,T: 10, FF: 16; Fort: +9, Ref: +4, Will: +4; Init: +0; Perception: +10
She looks at Thangrom and tries to suppress a smile, "Well...we have a master smasher right here. What do ya say Thangrom? Feel like smashin' a wall?"
Male Dwarf (Witchguard) Ranger 3 [ HP: 27/29 | AC: 18 T: 12 FF: 16 | F: +5 R: +5 W: +3 (+3 vs. poison, spells & spell-likes) | Init: +4 Perc: +8 | 58/60 arrows ]
"All ya needed t' do was ask," he retorts, chuckling as he hefts his maul once more. The dwarf starts hammering away at the wall, almost whistling between blows.

See I told you he was broken. :P
Thangrom puts a few good cracks in the wall, but it still stands.
Female Half-Orc Bloodrager 7 HP: 84/84; AC: 17,T: 10, FF: 16; Fort: +9, Ref: +4, Will: +4; Init: +0; Perception: +10
She takes her hammer and stands on the other side of wall opposite from Thangrom, "Here...I'll give it a few whacks and see if something happens."
With that she lays into the wall a few times with her own hammer.

The wall crumbles, revealing another room beyond. The other room looks a bit older, decorated with faded banners.
Female Half-Orc Bloodrager 7 HP: 84/84; AC: 17,T: 10, FF: 16; Fort: +9, Ref: +4, Will: +4; Init: +0; Perception: +10
Taking the torch from Jerrica, Derika walks into the room and examines it's contents looking for clues as to their ghost's identity, or anything else that might help them figure out this mystery.

Derika doesn't see anything of interest in this room, but sees no other exits.

"Hey Jerrica, could you and Abby come take a look around in here? Sometimes things are pretty oblivious to me...I don't see anything unusual...but there's no other exit out of here either. Wanna make sure I didn't miss anything?"
Jerrica finds a couple loose stones in the floor at far end of the room.
Female Half-Orc Bloodrager 7 HP: 84/84; AC: 17,T: 10, FF: 16; Fort: +9, Ref: +4, Will: +4; Init: +0; Perception: +10
Nevermind, she's already ahead of me on the clue sniffing.

"Over there," Jerrica says, pointing at her find.
I try to keep up.

Vishanti utters a whispering chant, calling forth a benevolent spirit to move the loose flagstones aside.
Cast unseen servant.
As the unseen servant moves the flagstones, the group can see a skeletal hand sticking up out of the dirt.
Also, if anyone wants to make a Knowledge (History) check, you may.

Sorry...we've been pretty busy ourselves and it was a weird weekend with the dead body outside our apartment and all.
Telsyn recalls that one the Cesare family's princes had a hunting lodge in this area and there was an accident, but the specifics elude him.

Telsyn recounts what he knows.
Could this be the place where this prince died? Is this the hunting lodge, spoken of in legend?

"Looks like it. The manner of his death may be the cause of the poltergeist." Vishanti says thoughtfully.

"Couldn't jus' stay dead like everybody else?" Thangrom says, rolling his eyes.

"People full of hate and aggression tend not to die easily." the shamaness replies.
Exhuming the skeleton reveals nothing as it appears that whoever the corpse was had been stripped of all possessions.
Heal check.

Seeing that the skeleton was not affected by undeath, Vishanti moves closer, studying it in detail.

She looks around, "Sooooo....what do we need to do to make sure it doesn't come back? Cuz I'd really prefer to not have to deal with it ever again."
Vishanti sees that the back of the skull is smashed in, but it would have been beyond a person or creature to accomplish that.
Female Human Shaman (Heaven spirit/ Life Spirit) HP:46/46 /46; AC: 14, FF: 12, T: 12; F: +2, R: +4, W: +10; Init: +2; Perception: +4
"No creature or person that I know of could muster enough force to cave in the back of his skull like this." Vishanti says aloud, looking up to see if it was possible that a fall killed the man.
Male Dwarf (Witchguard) Ranger 3 [ HP: 27/29 | AC: 18 T: 12 FF: 16 | F: +5 R: +5 W: +3 (+3 vs. poison, spells & spell-likes) | Init: +4 Perc: +8 | 58/60 arrows ]
"The hell's his spirit all pissy for, then?" the dwarf asks, not entirely sure what would keep the man's soul bound here for so long.
M Elf Evoker 4 [ HP: 30/30 | AC: 14 T: 13 FF: 11 | F: +3 R: +5 W: +4 | Init: +5 Per: +2 ]
For whatever reason, he feels wronged. It may be that the Caseres built this over the remains, offending the spirit. We might just move the remains, and it'll be able to leave this realm. Perhaps a blast of positive energy from Abigail will suffice to release it.
With no other clues, I'd suggest we do both and hope for the best.
Telsyn shrugs. He understands the torment of the poor soul, but not the exact cause.
