Telsyn Setiva |
Telsyn will move to P42, hoping the ogre already took an AoO.
If he lives, he'll try to use the wand.
C Level check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14 DC 14.
Just made it.
ranged touch: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 5 - 4 = 20
fire dmg: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 3, 3) = 14
Thangrom "Steelborn" Deepwalker |
Thangrom rests his maul on the ground and draws his longbow while notching an arrow in a fluid motion.
Thangrom drops his weapon (move action), draws his longbow (standard action) and loads an arrow (free action).
Abigail Merosa |
just a couple of things,
1. no caster level check is required for a wand (just scrolls).
2. Thangrom: free action to drop, move to draw, so you still get a shot
I sometimes am a rules lawyer with stuff, ever since I became a Pathfinder society GM. just one more games session away from my first star
Derika |
Well...he needed to do a caster level check to overcome the magic resistance of the Ogre. Our goal is to have fun, it's not fun if someone is always pointing out what they think someone else is doing wrong. Just chillax and enjoy the game, we aren't that picky here.
Telsyn Setiva |
You didn't. You're right. Telsyn could do it without a check, but I forgot. The ogre is somewhat spell resistant, so I had to roll anyway. Or did I?
I jumped into PFS when I literally didn't know anyone to play with. It was good for me, and a lot of us folks who started it in our area still show up. Once it got off the ground, some of the older players just started playing APs on their own. PFS is fun in its own way, but I like a longer story. It was fun playing with newbs and kids, etc. Paizo gots fans.

Vishanti |
Knowing that Jerrica is at her best when her opponent is distracted, Vishanti once again reaches into the beyond as she makes a slashing movement in the air. "Jerrica, your turn." she says as the shimmering curtain opens in the air, enveloping the rogue and depositing her behind the ogre, her body facing the other direction.
Teleport Jerrica to U43, flanking with Derika
GM Dust |
The ogre, back to his senses, strikes against Kerkko.
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20; Damage: 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (1, 2) + 10 = 13
The falchion cuts deep into the man's body, but Kerkko still stands, who attacks with his own blade.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
The pain causes him to barely miss.
Round 3: Thangrom, Vishanti, Telsyn, Ruknar, Abigail, Kerkko, Derika, Jerrica
R hp: 2
Derika |
I'm gonna go ahead and take my turn. Abby, just do whatever you think is best.
Seeing the damage inflicted on Kerkko, Derika knows they can't withstand too many such attacks. Dropping her warhammer she lashes out against the ogre with both claw attacks.
Claw 1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Claw 2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
In her desperation to try and hit him, she misses completely. Her swings going wild and hitting nothing but air as he effortlessly dodges out of the way twice.
Abigail Merosa |
Abigail simply sees this Ogre proving to be a rather difficult target, and despite her desires for peace it is clear that this creature is simply no more than a diseased animal that must be eliminated to protect the others.
Abigail calls for the blessings of Sarenrae, to guide her and her allies to further the dawnflower's wishes.
cast Bless on the party.
don't know if the extra +1 to hit will help you Derika
but seeing Abigail goes before Kerkko, the extra +1 may help him.
Jerrica DeLamis |
Jerrica stabs at ogre with both her rapiers.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Thangrom "Steelborn" Deepwalker |
Thangrom fires an arrow at the ogre, hoping to put it down.
Thangrom attacks the ogre (standard action) and reloads (free action).
Longbow attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Longbow damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
GM Dust |
The ogre continues to attack Kerkko, as the man's blood pools on the ground.
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28; Damage: 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (3, 3) + 10 = 16
Are you teleporting him before or after the attack, Vishanti?
Round 4: Thangrom, Vishanti, Telsyn, Ruknar, Abigail, Kerkko, Derika, Jerrica
K hp: 5/-11
Derika |
I'm tryin' I'm tryin' "Hey Ugly! Over here!" She yells at it as she tries to distract it from her other comrads. As she strikes out at him with her claws she smirks at him, "So....if you're the big bad around here.....I guess that other pathetic Ogre we killed was what....your son?" With all her anger behind it she claws at the evil beast.
Claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Sucks to be you: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Once more with feeling : 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

*Holds up hands* Thanks but, until Henry has a chance to look at the book after we get back from our date to confirm. Remember he has that feat so we have to take him down to negative con before he's down down. We'll see....Lol Thanks for the props though.

GM Dust |
750 xp to go.
Derika tears into the ogre's flesh, ripping through its arteries. The monstrosity falls down dead.
Looking around the room, the only thing of interest Telsyn sees is a large iron-bound chest, which is locked. Vishanti notices the tapestries of death and battle, a twinge of past memories sparking in her mind before fading away.
Thangrom "Steelborn" Deepwalker |
Thangrom relaxes as the ogre falls over dead, returning his arrow to his quiver and tucking his bow away once more. Grabbing his maul, he heads over to the others once more. "Well, that was interestin'."
Derika |
She runs over to where Kerkko lies on the ground bleeding profusely. "That was something all right and he took the brunt of the damage. Is anyone else hurt badly?" As she kneels down next to him she looks up at Vishanti and Abby, "Is there something you can do to help him? I think we still have some potions if we need them, but I don't know....I wanted to see if he could be saved. It looks pretty bad and there's lots of blood." She couldn't let someone die if there was something they could do to save him.

Derika |
She looks at Thangrom, "It would seem he took a liking to you as well." She looks at Abby, "It's okay if you can't heal everything, we still have some potions. Just do your best okay?" She pats her on the back reassuringly before going to look at the loot, "Anyone thinks they can use this stuff go ahead and take what you need. I'm not sure how much we want to carry around with us right now. We can always come back for it later once we know this place is cleaned out. Of course we'll take the potions and money and stuff.....is everyone gonna be able to continue after some healing, or do we need another break? I'm sure the bad guys aren't going anywhere and Id rather be safe than sorry." She gets quiet for z bit as she thinks about things as she leans against a wall and closes her eyes for just a minute.
