Atol brings his cudgel to bear in a move that surprises himself more than anyone, viciously attacks the sleeping goblin at his feet (skr 5) for a coup de grace attack.

Only to witness yet another cudgeling bring one back to consciousness.

"Can't we wait until they've all surrendered for them to repent?" Glimmil asks somewhat pleadingly, wondering why Cuthbertines love to hit things with clubs so darned much.

As if hit by some confusion spell, the party's cohesion falls apart. Glimmil and Cog press forward and try to take down another goblin. Silfir follows and does slice one goblin in half, splattering blood over Cog and Glimmil.

Dryant follows Glimmil and Silfir while Finneas tries to reign the party in. The doctor responds to the call, but doesn't have time to pick up his bow. Atol passes Finneas and Toffitt and finds himself as the rear guard of the party.

The goblins rush in and test Atol's resolve. The first goblin into the room slashes his short sword across Atol's arm while another goblin stops in the doorway and shoots Atol in the other arm. (3 damage total)

Technically Glimmil provoked from Gob2 before Silfir killed him, but I understand your confusion and will mark it up as one of the problems of PbP.

Toffitt steps into the room, readying to strike at any foes that come within reach.

There is still a horde in the hallway? What has Doctor Toffitt been doing out there with them? Conducting a survey of Goblin tooth decay?


Glimmil and Cog takes care of the last two goblins on the east end of the battle, while the rest of the party regroups in the same room. Finneas and the doctor await the goblins and strike out as they arrive. Finneas's blow glances off the doorway, but Toffitt slashes the first goblin to stand up.

Three goblins rush upon Toffitt with their short swords while the last two continue with their bows. All of them miss though.

Dyrant will sheathe his xbow and draw a scroll.


The doctor slashes his blade across the stomach of the goblin and hits guts pour out in front of him. Another goblin steps up, but Silfir's greatsword nearly takes the goblin's head off before it can even raise its sword.

The last 3 goblins close on the doctor without any success.

Glimmil also feels something trying to intrude into his mind, but then it is gone. Glimmil and Cog look about, but see nothing but the bloody bits and pieces of goblins.

Looking at the latest map, I thought Glimmil and Cog would be closer to Dyrant at this time.

Can I say the Round 14 action was to move to (P,23) and point the cone into the room? Centered at (T,19).

Standard action would be to use handle animal or whatever is necessary to have Cog use his scent ability (it's unclear if this requires an action from Cog, but I presume the Track trick is what would be used and require a standard from Glimmil to communicate to Cog).

I don't see any posts where you directed me anywhere but since I tried to take a Move action last time and got denied maybe the vampire is standing next to me?


@Glimmil. The move is fine. You do not sense any evil.

Tell me more about how you plan to use Cog to locate anything. I'm not being difficult; I'm just not sure what Cog could do besides perception and scent at this point. Looking at the rules, it looks like he can sense the direction, but no more. Cog will point his nose to the East. Assuming you move your cone that way instead, you do detect evil.

I'm playing loose with the handle animal checks, but might look more closely later as to how many standard/move actions it takes between you two to do something effective aside from combat.
