Hello, Pathfinders! I am running a play-by-post Serpent's Skull campaign through the Paizo website and Roll20 from level 1. We have a couple players as is but are seeking good roleplayers with personality. I would like to have everyone post once every weekday at least with very few exceptions, taking the weekends off. If the rules below suit you then contact me for further instructions.
Serpent's Skull Player's Guide:(PDF)(Download)
Guidelines
All characters start at 1st level
20 point (High Fantasy) buy for stats
2 starting traits, one from the Serpent's Skull Player's Guide and one from any allowable book.
Starting gold = Max for class
Races = Whatever’s in the books
Classes = Whatever’s in the books
Feats = Whatever’s in the books
Max HP at first level.
If you want something that goes against these “rules,” ask.
A character must be either LG, NG, CG, LN, CN, or N.
The game starts on a trade ship making a 200 day journey, account for your presence.
At minimum, please post once per day during weekdays.
Please read the Serpent's Skull Players Guide.
I will not give out XP. I will simply tell you when you level up; generally this will be when you complete a notable objective.
Subject matter will be mostly PG-13 but rated R (Heavy language, gore) content can appear within context.

This guys more or less ready to go. Melee focused Lion Shaman Druid.
Need to find a reason to have a giant predator on a boat for 200 days.
Hey, Belor. I'm helping with recruitment. I love your post history. We're going to have two other melee characters in the party. I would never tell somebody their job is to be dedicated healer but we will 100% for sure need healing. Would you feel restricted by the role?

I'm ok with rolling up a more heal-y support type character. Probably another druid, if yall are cool with a druid support.
Unless you think this guy can get by with a load of cure scrolls.

I have no issue with the character as-is so long as you don't mind packing a bit o' healin'. I don't know about the availability of scrolls, even for just crafting materials, since we're going to be running through the wilderness. I'd be surprised if it wasn't readily available, though. Is there much you could do to get a more heal-y druid?
Once we have enough to get our hands on a wand (if there is anywhere to buy one) we'll be golden, too.Bottom line, I support taking you on, I just didn't want you to be surprised in a four player party when some healing needs doling out. It's going to make tactical decisions interesting but this environment will be great for a druid and your crowd control is going to be great. With spontaneous summoning and terrain manipulation, you may be able to prevent and deflect a lot of the damage anyway while your companion doles out a wealth of pain, too.
Works for me if it works for the GM.

I suppose it's worth a shot. As long as the adventure doesn't start out with total insanity we'll have time to work out stratagies as a group. Between scrolls, wands, and a few cure/heal spells, should be fine.

Well, I have an Invulnerable Rager Barbarian if you have room.
"Knowing that the land of Sargava can be untame and dangerous, Tryggve sees an opportunity to be hired as a bodyguard for those wishing to brave the savage wilderness. It is also a great opportunity for him to explore Sargava for valuable and ancient treasures or tomes to bring back to his society."
Neela |
Here's my submission for a sylph witch with mastery over fate itself. She will focus on the Fortune and Misfortune hexes for buffing and debuffing. I also gave her Disable Device because I wasn't sure if you had a trapfinder yet - could just as easily switch that out for something else.
The plot hook is that Neela is smuggling some escaped halfling slaves out of Cheliax. Let me know if you think that's problematic and I can change it.

Also, about the Two traits, is it alright if I keep the character traits I have already? If not, I can switch out my Belkzen trait for the "Boarded in Mwangi Expans" Trait.

The traits in the SS Player's Guide are important to relations with the NPCs. I would like at least one trait to be from that book.

Understood. I'll switch it out if I join!
