Amy shakes her head and she tries to clear the effects of the bomb in her face. The first cloudy image that she sees after her sight starts to return was a Golem made out of books forming in front of her. It starts to stomp in the direction of the group and seems to be bend on destruction. The first sound was Silvio's voice from a long ways off sounding like he was asking how she was.

"WHAT! MY EARS ARE STILL RINGING! I WILL BE ..... yells Amy before she disappears. Her weight on the book case caused it to spend around and disappear from sight. She now was facing what seemed to be a tunnel that had the sent of fresh air.

I AM IN A TUNNEL THAT SEEMS TO LEAD OUT OF HERE! Amy calls out to the trap door, hopping that her friends can hear her.

She lights her staff to look around.

Hank turns, "Why are we saying Lockd--" but his voice is cut off as part of the books take on a mind of their own.

"Oh, great, this is just great! I'd say something like 'can't we go back to fighting the ghouls' but I have a feeling we've not seen the last of them, so I won't bother."

Hank takes a few steps back and launches a few shots with his Zero Canon.

Here and ready to update after the DM's action post :)

@Amy: The hidden passage behind the bookcase seems to end in a blank wall, but the light shed from your staff reveals a lever hidden in an alcove. Pulling it will probably reveal the way out.

@Everyone Else: Empowered by Roman's magic, Silvio leaps at the golem ... only to find that a rapier isn't particularly effective against a bunch of books. The construct doesn't even seem to notice as one of the volumes forming its neck is skewered. Silvio's body seems to do much more damage, as the force of his impact sends the golem crumbling to the ground - books flying everywhere (Silvio takes 1d4 damage from the awkward landing). Within seconds, however, the construct has reformed itself - just as Hank's blast catches it squarely in the chest. Turning towards him, the golem carefully extracts the scorched book and gently places it on the appropriate place on a shelf. Then it launches a fist formed of heavy dictionaries at Hank's face.

Not sure if talking about Pokémon or Parenthood in general.

Is the golem still kicking?

I'm referring to Monsters of the Pocket variety, as I recently gained a level in the Monster Trainer class.

The golem is very much still kicking. Most weapons simply aren't effective against a book creature inside a library. ;-)

The chelaxian gentleman notices a couple of holes in the ceiling he can use as hand holds. Aided by his discovery Silvio swings himself across the room feet first against the book case.

Roman's song is slightly off-key, creating a different effect. When Roman fires his weapon, it emits a weak freeze ray that's effortlessly brushed aside by the golem. With all the commotion, the majority of Fleet's command is drowned out, and his undead minion only hears, "... books ... shelves ... now!" It obediently begins placing the books on the nearest shelf. At least Silvio meets with some success, as his quick reactions prevent a falling bookcase from crushing the necromancer.

Focusing on the closest threats, the golem sends massive fists at Hank and Roman!

If there's a core, he's going to order his zombie to target it with an attack. I'll post that action after I see the answers to my DR roll, don't want to cram too much into any one post.

When I'm done doing that, I want to try and think back through the memories I got from the enchantress' brain and try to remember the word that shuts the golem down, if I can. But I'll save that for after the next GM post.

@Roman: You're in-between bookshelves, so there isn't much room to maneuver. If you flatten yourself against a shelf, you'll only be grazed (1d4 damage). Otherwise you'll have to roll under the fist - which will put you dangerously close to the golem.

@Hank: Roman's botched spell counteracted your gadget. Sorry. :-(

@Fleet: You see a likely prospect for a golem core: "101 Defenses for your Secret Library - vol IX". It's a thick book with a locked metal cover. The only problem is that it's built into the golem's forehead and is currently almost 11ft off the ground. On a totally different note, a bookshelf to your right has swiveled open, revealing a hidden passage.

@Silvio: There's a glint of metal under one of the books near the dead snakewoman's original location. It looks like a small key. Unfortunately, based on the golem's current movement pattern, it's about to be buried under a giant foot.

What here is useful or valuable to me? Basically, is there in fact a precariously placed chandelier I can drop on this golem? I would also take a domino of suits of armor.

@Roman: There's no chandelier, but the bookshelf Hank hit earlier isn't looking so good. It's missing a crucial board near its bottom (thanks, Silvio) and is barely staying upright.

Boosted by Hank, Fleet's zombie dislodges the metal-bound book. That's when a golem fist smashes into the animate corpse, sending it flying across the room. As if by magic, Silvio tumbles by, the book landing delicately in his outstretched hand.

Fully rebuilt now, the library golem looms large over Silvio and Hank. It's clearly fed up with these intruders as it simply falls forward. Silvio’s immediate gut reaction tells him to act heroic and decisively by either stabbing the book with his stiletto or ripping out the page. That should stop the golem since naturally its life force is connected to the book. Perhaps tearing the paper into little bits is necessary before the creature realizes that its time on this planet has come to an end. But before he can unleash his valiant ways on the unsuspecting text he pauses for a moment. Perhaps this is a time to take a page from Hank’s book, Silvio’s pun indended, and use SCIENCE! Instead of tearing into the book with his trusty blade he instead studies the text, looking for a way to disable the golem.
