Was hoping to line it up so it didn't interfere with our melee, but would give concealment vs arrows.. If that's not possible so be it.

"Face judgement." Dargorath declares as he draws his bow, nocks an arrow and sends it flying at Umagro.

bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
dmg: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Bart heals the hostage again.

CLW: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

I should probably have been more clear about the order. Bad guys went on 18. People who were before them:

Ivar, Dargorath.

People who go after him: the rest. When I said party up, that doesn't mean you get to act twice before they act again.

People who already posted actions for round 1:
Malok, Bart, Randy

Malok makes his fog cloud out at the edge of the roof so it blocks the snipers.
Bart heals the hostage.
Randy hits the rebel leader.
Lalali holds her action since she takes her turn in a prescient manner knowing that Ivar is going to kill the baddie before he acts again.

People who get to act at the top of round 2: Ivar, Dargorath.

Dargorath shoots the leader and hits.
Ivar drops the leader with a vicious crit

You guys can go again. The other baddies are obscured by the fog cloud, but you hear people moving up the ladder to the roof hatch.

Randy moves to the ladder's opening and readies an attack durected to the first dumb dumb to join the rooftop party.

Assuming I am 20 ft from the opening, of course

Readied Rapierino: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18

"That, I am in agreement. But we might want to make sure no one shoots him in the back."

so bottom two and top of three?

'Randy has the right idea.' Ivar moves to the other side of the hatch, poised ready to attack. "Good idea Randy."

Ivar will move to the hatch, and wait for Randy to attack the first climber. If that person is still alive, Ivar will attack them also, if not he will wait for the second climber.
move: over to the hatch, readied action: attack: greataxe, PA, FF, rage, powerful blow
attacks: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24 for damage: 1d12 + 9 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 6 + 2 = 23

A head pops up through the hatch, and between Randy and Ivar, it quickly drops down the ladder. Then you hear that people below are distressed by the falling body.

"Enough of this!" Dargorath hollers. "There has been enough bloodshed today. Your leader is dead. Leave and return to your families. Return to your lives.Do not go down the same road as your leader."

Diplomacy/Intimidate: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

He helps Gelik up and turns to leave.

Was worth a shot

You don't hear any reply.

are we still in combat rounds?

We'll say no since they have learned that coming up is unwise, and you can't be shot due to the fog cloud.

M Male LN Cleric (Erastil) 4 | HP 31/31| AC: 19 (14Tch, 15 Fl) | CMB: +3, CMD: 18 | F:+ 6, R: +5, W: +8; | Init: +3 | Perc: +3, SM: +3 | Speed 30ft |

Dargorath then starts heading back to the pathfinder lodge with Gelik in tow.

"Hold on you two." Seeing a lull in the combat, Ivar checks the leaders body for anything of value, then he follows along.

leaving can't be this easy.' Keeping one hand on his axe and the other in his pouch of chakrams, Ivar follows Dargorath and Gelik; using the two as demi-human shields. "Watch out you two, it can't be that easy."

if there are bodies, Ivar will check them also.

Malok starts a summoning spell..

Considering you're on the roof of a building with snipers waiting to shoot and the way down the hatch you came up through full of enemies, moseying back to the lodge nice and easy simply is not on the table.

Skinwalker Bloodrager 1 | HP:16/16 | AC:15 FF:15 T:10 (-2 raging) | CMD:16 | F:+7 R:+0 W:+2| Init:+0 Per:+8 | Rage:9/9

"Ivar, drop through that hatch and beat some more of them up. I'll be right behind you."

so let's retcon a little, did Dargorath and Gelik get through the hatch and down the ladder before the snipers started shooting, or are there still people at the bottom of the ladder? Seriously, Ivar was willing to use them as human shields. Or are we still standing on the roof with the hatch shut?

did the leader have anything worth taking?

Leader has masterwork breastplate and masterwork kukri.
You were watching the hatch for people coming up. You dispatched one and he fell down onto his fellows. There are more of them below. Unless Dargorath and Gellik feel like climbing down a ladder while under attack (denied dex bonus and provoking AOOs) they are still on the roof.

M Male LN Cleric (Erastil) 4 | HP 31/31| AC: 19 (14Tch, 15 Fl) | CMB: +3, CMD: 18 | F:+ 6, R: +5, W: +8; | Init: +3 | Perc: +3, SM: +3 | Speed 30ft |

The problem is we can't see them because of the fog, right? If we can't see them, they can't see us, I don't see an issue climbing down?

And honestly, I wouldn't climb down the ladder if I saw bad guys, I'd just jump off the roof, with Gelik, after asking Barton to featherfall me.

I do believe the fog cloud affects the archers because they are outside and so is the cloud. The thugs are inside and can't see us because of roof-related blindness, won't come us because we shish-kebab'd the first volunteer and can simply wait until we are visible so the archers turn us into glorified pincushions.

So how about we do jump down towards the street and make a run for it. If anyone grabs Galittle head we may be able to make it, but if you make me walk I'll be forced into the 'I'll slow them, don't go back for me' role

The fog is outside the building. There are people inside the building as well.

M Male LN Cleric (Erastil) 4 | HP 31/31| AC: 19 (14Tch, 15 Fl) | CMB: +3, CMD: 18 | F:+ 6, R: +5, W: +8; | Init: +3 | Perc: +3, SM: +3 | Speed 30ft |

We could jump off the building..into the fog? Alternatively we do the ninja jump down the ladder thing?

or we could tie a rope to the hatch and let ourselves down behind the building outside the fence and attempt to make an escape that way.

After collecting the nice breastplate and kukri from the dead man, Ivar, draws out the grappling hook and rope he acquired on the island. He ties the rope to the grappling hook and tosses the other end of the rope off of the building to the east outside of the fence. Smiling he hooks the grappling hook on the hatch, placing one foot on the hatch he nods toward the rope. "The rest of you go down the rope to the outside, I will keep the hatch closed and then follow when you are on the ground."

I'm assuming the hatch is strong enough to hold the weight, if not does it look like there is something on the roof he can attach the hook to?

M Male LN Cleric (Erastil) 4 | HP 31/31| AC: 19 (14Tch, 15 Fl) | CMB: +3, CMD: 18 | F:+ 6, R: +5, W: +8; | Init: +3 | Perc: +3, SM: +3 | Speed 30ft |

That's an idea. Could be on the opposite side of the building so we have cover.

Let me know when enough time passes for my summon spell to go off.

You summons works in six seconds, so it's there.

The hatch is strong enough to hold a person.

You start to smell smoke as if there's a fire starting below.

a person at a time, how high is the roof, how long will it take for a person to slide down

M Male LN Cleric (Erastil) 4 | HP 31/31| AC: 19 (14Tch, 15 Fl) | CMB: +3, CMD: 18 | F:+ 6, R: +5, W: +8; | Init: +3 | Perc: +3, SM: +3 | Speed 30ft |

Dargorath casts create water down the hatch.

"That should slow the spread of the fire, if not stop it altogether. We'd best not tarry, though."

Skinwalker Bloodrager 1 | HP:16/16 | AC:15 FF:15 T:10 (-2 raging) | CMD:16 | F:+7 R:+0 W:+2| Init:+0 Per:+8 | Rage:9/9

Is the hostage up and ambulatory?

Gelick is up and moving, though he looks rather worse for wear.

The fire isn't under the hatch.

The roof is 30' above the street.

Is Gelik with us on roof or at ground level- also who is with Gelik at whatever level he is at?

As Ivar said, Gellick is on the roof with the rest of you.

"Somebody shimmy down that rope and make sure it's safe. I'll send Gellick down when you tell me the coast is clear."

I can boot him over the side with a feather fall as soon as we know there isn't a pack of cannibals waiting for him on the ground.

Malok finishes his spell and eagle comes into existance.. He promptly sends it down the hatch to piss off baddies..

Assuming it's 80' fly rate will get into melee with something below, if not disregard attack..

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Dam: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Malok moves to the edge of the roof and attempts to glide down using his pseudo wings..

Fly: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 Using his glide ability he takes no damage.. He swiftly whistles for his raptor to join him..

Which side of the building are you guys going down?

Direction where our halfling snuck through the fence. I've been trying to indicate it on phone but phone ain't cooperating.

um guys, I tossed a rope attached to the hatch down the east side of the building outside the perimeter of the fence is anyone going to use it?

You all bail off the roof of the now burning building away from the interior of the compound. Since there's no fence to that side, you can bail out easily enough and get away while the building goes up like a tinder box due to all the whale blubber soaked into the wood.

Unless you think there's a compelling reason to go back, you can just let it burn as you've rescued your buddy. The insurgents are apprehended running away from the conflagration by the town watch.

That being done, you head back to the pathfinder lodge.
After some rest Gellick summons you and suggests it's a good idea to get a guide to the jungle. Your best bet is an old priest of Gozreh called Nkechi. He's rather temperamental, but knows the area better than anyone.

The holy man lives alone in a cave atop a jagged seaside cliff face several miles north of the city known as the Pallid Bluffs. These great cliffs form the very edge of a long promontory and drop some 300 feet into the angry sea.

M Male LN Cleric (Erastil) 4 | HP 31/31| AC: 19 (14Tch, 15 Fl) | CMB: +3, CMD: 18 | F:+ 6, R: +5, W: +8; | Init: +3 | Perc: +3, SM: +3 | Speed 30ft |

Dargorath asks Gellick what gifts would appeal to Nkechi, since it would be bad manners to show up empty handed, and also what does he know about Nkechi, so that it would improve their chances of persuading him.

After that, he starts heading to the Pallid Bluffs hopefully with the party in tow.

Gellick explains that he's pretty self sufficient and not at all materialistic. Gifts are not necessary, however he is quirky and doesn't like to be disturbed. Best to warn him that you are coming if you can. Also he mentions that getting there by boat is probably your best bet unless you can all fly. The climb down the cliff is no joke, but there is known to be a path up.

M Male LN Cleric (Erastil) 4 | HP 31/31| AC: 19 (14Tch, 15 Fl) | CMB: +3, CMD: 18 | F:+ 6, R: +5, W: +8; | Init: +3 | Perc: +3, SM: +3 | Speed 30ft |

Dargorath sends out a runner, paying him 5 silver pieces to tell Nkechi that he would like to pay him a visit, to speak of a business proposition.

Hiring a Messenger

No messenger will take your money since they have heard how arduous it is to reach Nkechi.

M Male LN Cleric (Erastil) 4 | HP 31/31| AC: 19 (14Tch, 15 Fl) | CMB: +3, CMD: 18 | F:+ 6, R: +5, W: +8; | Init: +3 | Perc: +3, SM: +3 | Speed 30ft |

Can we wait for a day? If so, Dargorath will ask Malok to use animal messenger to deliver the message

M Male LN Cleric (Erastil) 4 | HP 31/31| AC: 19 (14Tch, 15 Fl) | CMB: +3, CMD: 18 | F:+ 6, R: +5, W: +8; | Init: +3 | Perc: +3, SM: +3 | Speed 30ft |

Dargorath also looks for people who have messenger pigeons available for hire and what their rates are like.
