Lalali doesn't see any actual magical significance in the pentagram. It is sloppy and roughly drawn, of basically no use in any rituals. You decide it is probably there as a warning or just to scare people.

The various trackers get a good look at the junk strewn around, and decide that must have been a pretty good dustup here some time ago. Curiously there's no sign of bodies, or even traces of bodies usually left after scavengers are done.

The cabin goes up in flames pretty easily as it is composed of dry driftwood.

You're now on the beach again. One thing you do note is that the hilltop above you to the NE is not covered in jungle for some reason, but rather just grasses.


I wonder if this was a good idea. Clearly something went down here, whatever it was. With the fire and smoke, whoever was involved and everything else now knows there´s someone here. I suggest we change location, hide a bit and have a lookout. Perhaps we can also head over to that tree free hilltop over there.

Sorry Lalali Your post came up after I hit preview and I didn't read the whole thing I will edit so it makes sense.

'She's right, we need to keep moving.' Not waiting to see who the fire invites, Ivar begins heading east, to round the horn and head north to their camp. "Lalali's right, we should be on our way. We should be able to round the horn and then maybe take a look at the hilltop." Shouldering his axe he moves up the beach keeping a keen eye out, .

I wonder if this has grown naturaly or been made by someone? Let´s look around a bit, but be careful for traps or ambushes! We should also avoid to spoil a sacred site or something. Who knows what kind of savages or degenarate chelish people live here.

Once we get to the hill top; what time of day is it?

'A good view of the surrounding area, this wouldn't be a bad place to camp for the night.' While the others wonder about the hill itself, Ivar walks the perimeter looking at the island around them, taking extra time to see if anyone has shown up at the camp they burned down. "We should be able to see if anyone is following us from here."

It's around noon.

You can't find out what burned the area down. It was evidently quite a few years ago.

'We need to make some distance.' After checking the perimeter Angus goes to Lalali and asks, "Did you find anything worth spending more time on? It's around noon, if we return to the beach we could get a ways away from that burning camp before we have to stop for the night."


Seems there must have been a fire here burning down the trees some years ago, but i don´t know what might have caused it. You´re right, let´s return to the beach.

straight east to the beach from K, then north up the coastline, I was hoping to at least see what D6 is.


You trek back down the hill to the beach through the brush, which begins again clear of the once burned hilltop.

D6 is a shipwreck on a tiny island offshore.

Ariving on the beach, as they begin to turn north, Ivar points out the shipwreck; putting his hand over his eyes trying to get a better look. "Do you folks want to take a swim and investigate the wreck? Or would you rather put a little distance between us and any possible pursuers?"

You can always build a raft. The important question however, is can you build a seaworthy raft.

I was thinking more in a "getting us to the shipwreck-worthy" raft.


Considering how rocky it is around the area, and how rough the surf, the hurdle is not short.

Ivar looks out to the island and then back down the beach toward where the smoke still rises from the bungalow they set aflame. "I would like to be as far from that place as possible. We don't know who's going to see that smoke." As he walks up the beach toward the north and their original camp, keeping a keen eye out, he adds; "Lets clear the island of trouble and explore it. Then build a dugout canoe and explore off shore."

Stopping just north of a small alcove, Ivar points back down the beach "This is a good spot. If we stay here we will be able to see anyone following us well before they get here."

The big northerner drops his pack and begins gathering drift wood for a small fire, once the fire is burning he throws some of the leftover snake on a spit and asks "Shall we keep the same watch?"

First: the colonel & Maloc, second: Ivar, Third: Lalali-Re & Janzadar, drbuzzard I assume D5 was a ship off shore that is similar to D6?


All of the Ds are shipwrecks. If they are on little islands, then it would be rather difficult to reach them (many sequential DC 20 swim checks).
