Luca, hearing his master, starts to hurry a bit more.

double move at twice 10 Ft (I dont really want to make multiple fly checks down the stairs at dc 15 :P)

>> horn level 1 << -- Way of the Wicked

@rika within 5 ft, iirc Moose can use a move action to locate which square the badguy is in. still suffers the miss chance from total concealment. unless you call it otherwise, i'll presume high is good for you when you roll. my default is low misses.

slam@moose: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 181d4 ⇒ 4
grab@moose,constrict : 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 161d4 ⇒ 4

eek!
the Darkmantle, alone with his prey, slams moose back after evading his blind swing, settling like a cowl around moose's neck and beginning to strangle him to death. moose takes a beating this round. His grunts of pain, and the sickening sound of their combat can be heard echoing down the stone stairwell.

[r4]: [20: rika], [20: lem], [15: adinomo], [10: eleanor]
[r5]: [26: darkness],

also, i thought moose was medium, checked the badger/wolverine entry and i see he's small... if he gets free, he can try and slip down the crack between the wall/stairs to get away, would give him a free check. if he rages, he'll stay conscious, and he has a climb speed, so he could possibly get away that way, and then just fall down ( onto whoever is there ::cough:: eleanor ). if i were a badger, its what i'd do to get the f%+& out of Dodge.

>> horn level 1 << -- Way of the Wicked

moose grappled:
-4 to dex b/c of the grapple drops his AC by 2, and -2 on all attacks except to grapple/escape the grapple. i think miss chance still applies, but moose can attack with all attacks / doesn't have to pinpoint square. moose is also staggered at 0 hp so its not looking good for him. =/

eleanor:
you can hear them fighting, 30 ft. above you. they've got improved cover (+8 ac), and 50% miss chance, but yeah, you can shoot up in the narrow gap by stairs, and try to hit the darkmantle, its just a really hard shot. just letting you know options.

it is. you can drop your crossbow, draw, and move, if you'd rather.

>> horn level 1 << -- Way of the Wicked

uldar@initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
You ponder darkmantles as you descend. your medium size makes the cramped stairwell slightly difficult to descend.
a double move at 30 ft. would easily gets you within sight of the darkmantle, constricting a wolverine on the stairs in some inky darkness, a look of panic and fear on the animal.

maintain grapple: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 251d4 ⇒ 4
the Darkmantle constricts again, its tendrils wrapping tighter around Moose, crushing some of his ribs, and squeezing him tight. Pitiful whines escape the nearly dead wolverine.

oops. well the 4 damage puts Moose over even his bonus rage hp, he drops unconscious, with 18 damage on him, and starts bleeding out.

stabilization: 1d20 + 2 - 5 ⇒ (6) + 2 - 5 = 3 and bleeds out a little more.

rika may not be able to post as much, for now she'll delay, as there's not a lot she can do from down at the bottom of the stairs.

Lem continues his bardic performance for a 2nd round, as adinomo begins to go back up the stairs. Eleanor finishes summoning her centipede, which climbs up to the Darkmantle and attacks, missing the darkmantle but distracting it a bit with its sudden appearance.

>> horn level 1 << -- Way of the Wicked

Eleanor rushes up the stairs, her medium frame being a tangle, and trips on a slick step as she enters the darkness, landing prone on the stone steps and knocking the wind out of herself.

now Uldar's spear strikes true, and brings the damage on the darkmantle up to 8.

It doesn't seem to be very intelligent, and instead tries to slam Uldar, rather than flee just yet, as it can't escape with its meal. it crawls up the spear rapidly, flying really, and plops itself down on Uldar's head, attempting to engulf it while it strangles him.

>> horn level 1 << -- Way of the Wicked

it doesn't obstruct your vision, the description of it around your head in the grapple is largely flavor. Eleanor, you should be able to move yourself on the map as well, if you want/need to move yourself for any reason.

>> horn level 1 << -- Way of the Wicked

Adinomo steps up and swings, but clangs his morningstar against the wall, completely missing the darkmantle. With a ::fizzle:: and faint whiff of mistletoe, the gigantic centipede disappears in a puff of mist. Eleanor brushes herself off, standing up just inside the darkness and ponders what to do

updated your location. you tripped w/ the failed acrobatics check in the first square of darkness. you've only used a move action to stand up. with the darkness you can move half (10 ft.), and with the difficult terrain of the stairs, a move action is needed to go 5 ft. sorry if that wasn't clear for the medium creatures before

Grand Lodge

Female Elf Druid 1 (hp: 9/9 | AC: 19 | T: 15 | FF: 14 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +4 | Will: +4 | Init: +4 | Perception: +8 | Lowlight vision, immune to sleep)

Alright, ill use the standard/second move to walk closer with an acro check then.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

>> horn level 1 << -- Way of the Wicked

in the dark the stairs are tricky and crooked, Eleanor you end up tripping again, and having to stand up again, making just 5 ft progress up the stairs.

Presuming Uldar will attack the darkmantle by dropping his spear and drawing his club

Uldar tries to swing at the darkmantle again, as he narrates his dance of death with the darkmantle, telling people where to go, and where he is, and where it is. it seems to distract him too much, as he sounds like he's injured further by the darkmantle.

Since she hears more sounds of combat, but - more importantly - still no sound from her companion, Rika starts moving up the stairs towards the darkness, healing potion in hand to administer to the first person that is in dire need of it.

"Guys! Just tell me where the healing needs to go."

wribbit. the acrobatics is just for moving in the darkness at full speed. if you go half speed you don't have to make the check. its DC 10, +2 for the uneven terrain of the cramped crooked stairs. so dc 12
