Hey guys in scenes like these I like to give everybody a chance to interact or describe what there character is doing while a scene plays out (great job guys I like everybody's posts)and if you want to post more introspection or talk to each other in the background that is cool. It allows those who can or just love to post the ability to post multiple times a day and those who may have something come up or have some reason they just can't post for a day and it feel like two because they have to post late the next evening or maybe they don't get to post till the next day. So if folks generally post there reaction to an interaction or whatnot feel free to do these flavorful character development posts you guys are really starting to come alive :) just lets try not to push plot forward till everyone has had ample time to respond. We all know real life stuff can keep you busy sometimes. That being said if you are ready for plot to move and haven't posted and you notice there is only one or two who haven't please pop over here so I know you are ready to go. I also understand those moments where you just are laying low. So far I feel everyone has been good about at least giving the rest of us a heads up. Hope everyone is having a good time.

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

I think I have more time on my hands to post than most, since I'm between jobs at the moment. I'm just trying to add a bit more colour to my half-orc. Partly because he's CN, I'm trying to play him as a bit of 'thicky', socially. Kind of like Obelix from Asterix the Gaul (books and comics from France) or Baldrick from Blackadder (old BBC show).

Thumbs up man I like it.

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

If you're familiar with Blackadder, you know it will be time to worry if Ûzorgráng starts saying "I have a cunning plan!"

As cunning as a fox who has been to cunning university?

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

That's right! A plan so cunning you could clean your teeth with it!

I should check this thread regularly, I had missed several posts.

Oh I was including the silvers in the incidentals. Like you said you have fourteen gold splashing a little coin around is no biggie for ya.

Now a month or so of being a man of means with no new income may find you in sudden dire straits as you reach for coin you may not have, but these things happen. besides can you imagine a month going by without any new coin crossing your palm?

For now I am counting the expenses, later, if we reach that point, I will pay monthly living expenses as show in the Cost of Living table.

PRD wrote:

Destitute (0 gp/month): The PC is homeless and lives in the wilderness or on the streets. A destitute character must track every purchase, and may need to resort to Survival checks or theft to feed himself.

Poor (3 gp/month): The PC lives in common rooms of taverns, with his parents, or in some other communal situation—this is the lifestyle of most untrained laborers and commoners. He need not track purchases of meals or taxes that cost 1 sp or less.

Average (10 gp/month): The PC lives in his own apartment, small house, or similar location—this is the lifestyle of most trained or skilled experts or warriors. He can secure any nonmagical item worth 1 gp or less from his home in 1d10 minutes, and need not track purchases of common meals or taxes that cost 1 gp or less.

Wealthy (100 gp/month): The PC has a sizable home or a nice suite of rooms in a fine inn. He can secure any nonmagical item worth 5 gp or less from his belongings in his home in 1d10 minutes, and need only track purchases of meals or taxes in excess of 10 gp.

I have found playing Shadowrun that it is a simple but reasonable way to handle things.

To be clear Keith has no intention of randomly killing peasants (the idea would never cross his mind). He wants to make sure any "bandits" really are bandits, but then. Yeah. Harsh.

As Julius personality say: "Julius is a trusting person, always willing to think the best of any sentient beings and even most animals, always giving them a second and often a third chance. The only kind of creature that he distrust on first sight are the undead."

While that mean that he will frown at people speaking of killing with such ease, but at the same time he will be easy to convince him that it was a misunderstanding.

I tend to be on the good side when playing, but at the same time I feel that a reasonable LE is a acceptable character with which my characters can interact easily.
As long as the evil character (any alignment) isn't crazy evil or stupid evil it is possible to work with him.

Female Human Cleric of Sarenrae 2

Will get an IC post up soon.

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

That will be cool.

I've just been posting long posts often simply because I'm between jobs again and have a bit too much time on my hands.

How should we handle hit points per level?

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

I'm handling it like PFS. Half your die type plus 1 plus any CON bonuses. That works out like the long term average anyway.

Ûzorgráng wrote:

Thanks, man. I'll work it that way for now.

The way Ûzorgráng suggested is fine. if you prefer to roll your hp then you may do so here in the discussion thread.

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

I'll keep that in mind. I just assumed it was safer to use the PFS method of half a die plus one. I guess it all evens out to about the same in the long run anyway.

I had a druid with an average of 7/level for his hit points before adding the constitution bonus, but I had a player whose fighter had an average of 4. I have switched to average rounded up with Pathfinder. It is safer.

I suggest we move on before the Baron get annoyed with us ;-)

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

Good plan!

Bear with me guys. Finishing 12 hour ER shift. I hope to post later tonight (after midnight EST)

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

Sleep? You want all the luxuries! :P

I know what that's like, though. Drove cabs for, well, way too long. Mostly at night, dealing with the "wild life" of Vancouver...

@DM Mode Activated:

I updated my profile a tad so there are status boxes with my posts. Hope it's useful for you. It took a while to make those look tidy-ish.

Very nice I appreciate it :) I know that kinda stuff takes time.

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

It took me a while to figure it out because each of those fields don't hod very many characters. But I got it done!

And I didn't even swear (much) to do it. :D

Thanks for your patience with me folks. Life has been a little crazy recently!

No worries Thorgrund real life happens to us all. :)

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

That real life stuff gets in the way of all the fun! :P

Ûzorgráng wrote:

Yes it certainly does!! :-)

Male Human Inquisitor (spellbreaker) of Sarenrae 1

... Real life ....
I have hear of it, never experimented it ;P

LOL...reminds me of an old Monty Python Flying Circus joke...

"I've heard of unisex, but I've never had it".

lol

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

I never wanted to do this for a living. I always wanted to be a LUMBERJACK!!

(etc, etc)

The ministry of Silly walks.

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

Funny you should mention that. One of my Christmas pressies was an official (sort of) Ministry of Silly Walks watch! It's the best! The minute hand is a straight leg, the hour hand is a bent leg, and the second hand is a hand holding an umbrella. And John Cleese in bowler hat at 12 o'clock is the centre bit. It's terrific. It's very silly. AND it keeps good time too!

Awesome

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

I thought so! I found an online picture of it here too.

That is great
I'm a little jealous.

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

I like it!

Guys sorry it has been one fun but exhausting day. I see Thorgrund still hasn't posted, so we are going to press on with him in the background coming back to camp deep in thought and a bit edgy. Thorgrund if life is just being rough on ya just jump in when you can. I will have a good post up tomorrow gang.

Male Human Inquisitor (spellbreaker) of Sarenrae 1

DM Mode, seeing how Julius is bossing people around on how to set yup guard duty, I would like to change one of his skill, from stealth to Profession (soldier).
It is acceptable for you?

I am ok with that. sounds like a good choice :)

Just to let you guys know I generally houserule that as long as casters get a reasonable amount of rest over the course of the rest period they regain fress spells in the morning when they pray, study, meditate, commune, etc.... That is the important part. If you all prefer more by the book we can go that way instead.

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

That's why I like the charisma based spell-casters. Less paperwork for things like spells regained. Ûzorgráng still has a couple levels to worry about that yet, though. Although he will need his beauty rest. And more than a little, I suspect! :D

Male Human Inquisitor (spellbreaker) of Sarenrae 1

Play by post?
No problem at all. The flow of time is way more flexible.
In a pen and paper game I would prefer a more by the book approach as it is part of the balance of the game.
The arcane casters having to sleep for 8 hours to get their spells while the divine caster having no need to sleep but having to pray at a specific time of the day is an important difference.

I take for granted that Julius is praying every day as soon as possible after sunrising. If for some reason he will not do that I will specify it and I will assume he don't regain his spells.

Female Human Cleric of Sarenrae 2

Just like to say sorry for my brief absence, my other main pbp (IKRPG) as well as real life has taken up a lot of time.

Yes Julius I assume it is part of your day to day activity. Yes if you do not commune your spells are not refreshed. No worries Shyr.

Been down with stomach flu, feel free to bot me. I will catch up when I can

Hope you feel better Ashar. I understand roommate has pneumonia and i am fighting it off atm.

Male Human Inquisitor (spellbreaker) of Sarenrae 1

Take care of yourself, both of you, the game can wait.

Not really, the game is the more important thing, but it is the courteous thing to say. ;-)

I hope my attempt at humor wasn't too heavy handed. Really, take care.
Pneumonia, in particular, is a serious affliction. Be careful.

Hey gang I found out this morning my grandpa passed away. The next week will be spotty for me. Just to let you know, but hang in there with me.

Male Half-Orc Bloodrager (inactive)

Sorry to hear about that. Take your time!
