Mid round update

Finn jabs at a zombie destroying enough of its frame that whatever magic made it mobile flees, and the zombie drops to the ground. The last two zombies run forward with unnatural speed filling the holes left by the destroyed creatures. Finn jabs the zombie moving over the unmoving onesaoo here

And the five zombies lash out at Toxim, and while he tries to fend them off but they are to fast and to many and blows rain down upon himDamage 16.

Toxim swings at one of the zombies dropping it You can move here but not 5' step. Moving over the dead is the only way open. Doing so will drawl and AoO from pretty much all your attackers. So I leave that up to you.

Round 2
Finn=22[went]
Zombies=15[went]
Toxim=14[went]
Fathom+13[went]
Daurros=11
Ardanto=6
Guard=6
Snem=6

Mid round map update

_______________________________________________________________________

Karaklla
You find yourself in one of the cells. A battle can be heard close by, and you feel weak so very weak. You reach for your dagger and find it gone as are your thieves tools but as you slowly raise you see your in the last cell in the line of cells. Very near where you killed the two cultists

(Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4)

AoO:
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29

1d8 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Confirm:
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23

2d8 + 14 ⇒ (3, 6) + 14 = 23

Kersplat!

Yep, map should show three dead now, to your right, And Toxim has a way out as pointed above but he'll still trigger the AoO's

(Female Shifter Rogue 9)

Staggering to the cell door Karkalla sticks a hand out waving it "Over here." she attempts to yell shocked by how quite her voice sounds to her ears.

Is she missing any of her other gear and is she restrained in any other way?

any weapons or picks, but no not restrained. She does have a con of 7 at the moment however

(Female Shifter Rogue 9)

Keeper of Forbidden Lore wrote:

So still have her armour and her boots of striding + springing?

yep, they were in a hurry and saw no need to take em

Ardanto can't go anywhere, so he continues to watch what little of the fight he can see.

Delay action until I see and opening.

I can't soak up 4 AoO. I'll continue to fight defensively.

No worries Seeker. I'm still too far away to get into melee...
Also: Discussion thread.

Guard waits impatiently for the people in front of him to make way so he can get in on the action, even barefisted as he is.

(Female Shifter Rogue 9)

Karalla moves about the cell trying to get a better look at whats going on.

"Here I'm over here." she yells louder trying to get whoever is fighting's attention.

"Come on Captain Toxim, stop teasing them and give them a real smack down!" Ardanto yells from the rear, "or let me at them!"

Toxim, you have taken a bit of a beating, do you want to use a withdraw action to get clear of combat and I will use my delayed action to take your place? You will be protected from all aoo by the withdraw action and the cover provided by the corners I believe. I have a better AC and two attacks per round, And I only have one use in combat, meat shield!"

I've not heard a more fine idea in quite a long time. Let's do it.
Toxim yells "Switch!" and withdraws.

It might of helped if I looked at the initiative order, unfortunately, the zombies get another go to pound you before you withdraw.

Ardanto who is still delaying on his go. will spring into the space vacated by Toxim the first chance he gets.

(Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9)

Daurros lets fly another missile from his wand

1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Sorry guys I had RL stuff and have fallen behind

Daurros unleashes another Arcane bolt, destroying another Zombie as Guard and Ardanto await an opening into the room. Snem blasts at the zombie, but with no clear shot misses his target.Went for Senm as well

ok new round, you guys on step in on the left over the bodies, but you can not 5' step

Round 3
Finn=22
Zombies=15
Toxim=14
Fathom+13
Daurros=11
Ardanto=6
Guard=6
Snem=6

round 3 map

(Female Shifter Rogue 9)

Starting to get frustrated at having no real idea what is going on Karkalla begins to look around the cell for something she could use as an improvised lock pick.

Perception

1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19

In the cell you have straw mats and filth, and that is about it. Ya do have a very nasty pot.

(Female Shifter Rogue 9)

How narrow are the cell bars? No chance of her being able to squeeze through with an escape artist check.

The cell is stone, the doors solid wood with a small bared window about a foot across near the top of the door. Ya have zero chance of fitting though it

(Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4)

Finn unleashes another flurry of attacks, this time striking out with no regard for his personal safety.

D'oh! I forgot my Reckless Offense feat.

1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 2 = 13

1d8 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 2 = 23

1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

As Finn has updated, so shall I

Finn strikes out at the undead, stabbing on, but it does not drop as the three left slash at Toxim, he fends mot off but one attack gets though 3 hp

Round 3
Finn=22[went]
Zombies=15[went]
Toxim=14
Fathom+13
Daurros=11
Ardanto=6
Guard=6
Snem=6

"AH feck it" she mumbles to herself as she steps back and hurles herself against the door.

Attempting to charge the door and use her momentum to smash it down. would that be a bull rush or a straight strength check?. Also would her boots of striding and springing help at all (since it would mean she would count as having a running start)

I would have to say str check, Add a +2 for the boots

(Female Shifter Rogue 9)

Acrobatics check (if needed)

1d20 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18

Action point
1d6 ⇒ 6

Str check
1d20 + 3 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 6 = 27

Heh that will do it, ya act on Init order 9, I forgot to put that in there.

As the press of her companions bodies moves forwards, so does Fathom move with the flow.

Moving forwards, while trying to keep as much out of the way of those who want to get past. Will heal Toxim when I can get close enough

To recap:

Ardanto wrote:

I've not heard a more fine idea in quite a long time. Let's do it.

Toxim yells "Switch!" and withdraws.

(Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9)

Daurros targets another zombie with his wand, preferably the most hurt ...

1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Ardanto will take his delayed action as soon as Toxim moves so he can squeeze past the others and engage the zombies.

Move 20' and take a single attack.

Longsword +12 (1d8+9 19-20) (USING one sword two handed) 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21

1d8 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

Ardanto lets out a low whistle as the Cold Iron sword of Toxim's cuts deep into zombie flesh, "Not so fast now are ya?" he taunts the mindless undead.

Guard still waits for an opening to get up in the front line, while Snem blasts at the nearest zombie with his Soul Blast:
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22 Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

(Female Shifter Rogue 9)

Karkalla heads down the corridor towards the sound of heavy fighting skidding to a stop just at the entrancway of the chamber.

Toxim keeping his guard up moves back into the corridor. Daurros let's loose another Bolt with his wand as Ardanto rushes forward slashing a zombie and taking Toxim's place at the mouth of the corridor. The zombie falls to the ground under Ardanto's assault.

A crack is heard down the hall as Karkalla comes stumbling out of a cell. Guard moves forward a bit and Snem blasts at a zombie as Fathom moves back toward Toxim, healing the wounded man11 hp

Had to delay Fathoms actions, so her init changed. ok new round

Round 4
Finn=22
Zombies=15
Toxim=14
Daurros=11
Karkalla=9
Ardanto=6
Guard=6
Snem=6
Fathom=6

the map

(Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4)

Finn recklessly attacks any remaining zombies with his Delirious Tiger spear technique. "Karkalla, is that you? Hang on, we're coming!"

1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14

1d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Update because finn posted :)

Finn drops another zombie with his spear and the last remaining creatures mindlessly tries to get though Ardanto's armor, but can not.

This leaves 1 left.

Ardanto is on initiative 13 because of the delay, not that this will make much difference as I am going to slice that last Zombie into bite sized chunks!

Ardanto takes a series of collected swings at the last zombie driving the attack on.

Longsword +12/+7 (1d8+9 19-20) (USING one sword two handed) 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32

1d8 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

1d8 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Edit:
Critical confirmation 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22

1d8 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

That first hit dealt 29 damage, that has got to smart a bit.

"Who's ya daddy? Biatch!" Ardanto yells in celebration.

I do believe that is my first ever critical hit with Ardanto.

Sorry missed the init change

Ardanto drops the last of the zombies, they all lay on the floor unmoving. Karkalla or someone moving can be heard from down the hall to the left.

There are still slaves in some of the cells , just to let ya know

(Female Shifter Rogue 9)

Karkalla slowly steps into view from the hallway leaning on the wall for support looking pale, dirty, tired and yet at the same time eleated.

"Gods yer all a sight fer sore eyes"

Fathom follows into the room and 'looks' around.

Does Toxim need another healing spell? Which spell should I mark off as having been cast, DM? Are those stair to the Right/West of the group?

Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Yes there is a stair over there. Actions?

(Female Shifter Rogue 9)

"A-ardato? Captain?" Karkalla begins to ask nervously suspecting he is still angry at her.

Seeing the fighting over before he could get in on the action, Guard looks around the room, then moves towards the stairs, which seem the only way trouble could get to them.

(Female Shifter Rogue 9)

Gah slight rewind since she would have done this before stepping out

Karkalla has a quick look into the room where she killed the two cultists for her gear or something else to use as a weapon.

her dagger and tools are laying on the table as if someone just dumped them there. The blood stains the floor yet she notices there are no bowls here now.

(Female Shifter Rogue 9)

Retreving the items she tries to wrack her memory of what happend between being btten and waking in the cell.

Ardanto heads off in Karkellas direction, "Hey girl, never a dull moment with you is there?" he contiues approaching her, "did you not like the evil cultists and their secret evil underground complex?" he gives her a big grin, that falters slightly when he sees how beaten up she is, "that is one hell of a hickie you have there," he points at her neck with his free hand.

"So I guess there is a boss man?" he asks, "or did he run away when he heard my awesomeness approaching?"

Ardanto seems in the best mood he has been in for weeks, he hops from foot to foot as if he is itching to get stuck into a few more fights.

(Female Shifter Rogue 9)

Karkalla's eyes widen and her hand shoots towards the puncture wounds on her neck and she begins to speak quickly her words a panicked jumbled mess. "T-t-there was a man in suit very pale and he did somethin ta me a-and then he bit ma neck. Oh gods I think he's killed me I mean thats how they do it aint it? they drink yer blood and ya turn into one of them." Her voice becomes more panicked as she goes on.

"Take a breath and start again." Ardanto asks, but Karkella will notice his sword is pointing at her now, "man in suit, turned you into one of them..... one of WHAT exactly?" Ardanto glances over his shoulder looking for Daurros or the others.

(Female Shifter Rogue 9)

"A vampire H-he bit me and now I'm one of em a-and I dont want ta be like them"

Ardanto takes a step back and looks at Karkella strangely, "What in the all the heavens is a vampire?" he asks, "One of them blood sucking bats we had back in Sassarine?"
