M Human 1 Mnk 2Sorc [AC 16/20 CMD17] [F3R6W7] [HP16]

You are in my other game too, Morbak.
Sorry to find out from such unfortunate circumstances, my condolences.

Male Elf Oracle 2 / Fighter 1 (HP 17 | AC 15 | T 12 | FF 13 | CMD 14 | F +2 | R +2 | W +5 | Init +2 | Per +7)

Oh hey Zhiyo. So do you like Sorceror's or what?

M Human 1 Mnk 2Sorc [AC 16/20 CMD17] [F3R6W7] [HP16]

Yep, I was the best fighter in my unit in the army, I can do most of what the fighters can do and alot of what monks can do (that don't rely on magic or ki anyway) in real life and I find these RPGs wanting in those regards(a staff should not be a simple weapon. Easy to obtain, hard to gain proficiency with) but sorcery and magic I can't do in real life so I tend to play those.

It's also why I had a problem with the first of Lucender's slaughter game, we were aware of each other but the RAW counted us as flat footed and it should not have.

Sorry I tend to rant about the stupidity of the combat rules sometimes, mostly because I know better then the game designers. Which is why I am making my own rule set which should be ready to test soon. :)

HP 22/25, AC 20, F +4, Ref +2, W +1, Init +1

Tim, I'm right there with you on that particular rule.

Makes no sense that two people who are completely aware of each other and know there's about to be violence should have to deal with the flat-footed rules.

By RAW two boxers in a ring roll Init, and the one who rolls higher gets a free shot. That's a little silly.

M Human 1 Mnk 2Sorc [AC 16/20 CMD17] [F3R6W7] [HP16]

3.5 wasn't as bad as they atleast tried to account for awareness.

Check here for some interesting intel,
http://www.thealexandrian.net/creations/advanced-rules/starting-combat.html

I like his essays, they have pointed me in particular directions for several bits.

Male Human 3rd Paladin |HP 25/25|AC 15|CMD 16|Fort +7|R: +4|W: +4|Init: +0|Perc: -2|

Depending on the situation, I tend to Rule 0 the start of combat flat footed rule.

Revised shopping list for Endrian:

4 CLW potions (200gp)
1 Spring-Loaded Wrist Sheath (5gp) {He will load one potion of CLW in the wrist sheath}
1 Potions of Bulls Strength (300gp)
1 Potions of Enlarge Person (50gp)
Total Spent: 555gp

Heh, Half of the list is fluffy stuff. We killed a dragon (I think) and Leylyn plans to make a big deal about it when we return!

HP 22/25, AC 20, F +4, Ref +2, W +1, Init +1

I think I've got Leon's equipment list sorted out. I spent about 600 gp (highballing it), but I really hate equipment bookkeeping, so i figure the extra is money he got swindled out of.

I bought a warhorse and barding, sold a crossbow and bought a bunch of frightfully mundane gear (a lot of which was actually bought with starting gold money, since never did finish my initial equipment list)

I still have about 500 gp left, but Leon is really unaware of magic items. I'm fine with him being underpowered in terms of equipment until he's able to watch a few potions and stuff in action.

"Oh Oh Oh Leeeon! You should tooootally buy some fireworks with me then! That way we can have an even bigger Blast! and twice the fun!" :3

HP 22/25, AC 20, F +4, Ref +2, W +1, Init +1

...nothing good can come from this.

I'll do it.

Male Human 3rd Paladin |HP 25/25|AC 15|CMD 16|Fort +7|R: +4|W: +4|Init: +0|Perc: -2|

It could only end well.

M Human 1 Mnk 2Sorc [AC 16/20 CMD17] [F3R6W7] [HP16]

I bought fireworks spells XD

male human cavalier 3 [hp 26/26] [AC 17, touch 12, flat-footed 15 (+5 armor, +2 Dex)] [Fort +4, Ref +3, Will +1 ] [Init +2] [Perception +2 ] [CMD 18]

I won't buy anything for now. I plan to hoard my loot to buy a sweet & powerful magic item later on. It's a very Peacocky thing to do ^_^.

I don't know if I will resist the urge to buy shiny toys on the long run, though...

Are we seriously considering giving Leylyn access to fireworks?

hp 26 | AC 17 | T 12 | FF 15 | CMD 16 | F +3 | R +5 | W +3 | Init +4 | Per +4

Unless someone stops her , it is already too late! Wahahaha! Good thing I didn't buy any booze to go with them!

HP 22/25, AC 20, F +4, Ref +2, W +1, Init +1

Matt

Spoiler:
I know that in real life Horses can cost more due to better lineage/breeding/abilities. Would it be possible to pay more for a "masterwork" horse? Id like one who is noticeably superior (fit for a king). If so, what would the mechanical differences be?

If necessary, I can wait and spend more later, selling the horse I just bought for a better one. I don't get an animal companion, so spending money and eventually using Leadership are the only routes I can take for getting a cool horse.

M Human 1 Mnk 2Sorc [AC 16/20 CMD17] [F3R6W7] [HP16]

Just realized Snapdragon fireworks got cut from my list :( So I spend 17 g to re add it to my list.

Check Ashiel's post about 1/4 down(see below), it's big but it has the coolest goblin raid desc I have ever heard. I dont want everybody to hate me for getting them killed }:) but hey I want that encounter just once instead of the standard.

Look in this thread for Ashiel's post,

Being evil is not easy. That's what the good priests should say to their young charges :-).

Ho, and Endrian, paying for my booze ? Now that's sacrifice x-) !

Male Elf Oracle 2 / Fighter 1 (HP 17 | AC 15 | T 12 | FF 13 | CMD 14 | F +2 | R +2 | W +5 | Init +2 | Per +7)

I applaud you Baster, a very complicated character.

Thanks, mate. This character really inspires me. It gives me an incentive to resume my (professional) writing, it does.

Male Human 3rd Paladin |HP 25/25|AC 15|CMD 16|Fort +7|R: +4|W: +4|Init: +0|Perc: -2|

I am loving all the characters so far.

This is an absolute blast to be a part of.

M Human 1 Mnk 2Sorc [AC 16/20 CMD17] [F3R6W7] [HP16]

Some of the more creative characters I have had the pleasure of reading, indeed.

So what did you'll think of the goblin raid?

Male Human 3rd Paladin |HP 25/25|AC 15|CMD 16|Fort +7|R: +4|W: +4|Init: +0|Perc: -2|

As a player: "Please, I don't want to die."

As a GM: "This'll teach them for burning down that village to weed out the succubus."

Urban Barbarian 1/Musket Master 2 (HP 31 | AC 20 | T 14 | FF 16 | CMD 18 | F +7 | R +5 | W +1 | Init +3 | Per +7

A little shameless self promotion. I'm recruiting for a new PBP game here. It's a sci-fi game using Pathfinder rules with a homebrew class system.

That looks like one stylin' campaign and I'd be down if it weren't for my 4 ongoing PbP campaigns and 3 IRL campaigns. I will be reading through the gameplay though!

Male Elf Oracle 2 / Fighter 1 (HP 17 | AC 15 | T 12 | FF 13 | CMD 14 | F +2 | R +2 | W +5 | Init +2 | Per +7)

Count on my submission.

M Human 1 Mnk 2Sorc [AC 16/20 CMD17] [F3R6W7] [HP16]

Sounds interesting but since I am in 6 games and I am almost ready to recruit beta test for my own game system, I will unfortunately have to pass.

HP 22/25, AC 20, F +4, Ref +2, W +1, Init +1

Google Docs is only giving me a viewing area that's an inch tall and I can only read three lines at a time, even when I try to go to View Full Screen. I'd love to take a look but I'm not willing to deal with that kind of headache. :(

Urban Barbarian 1/Musket Master 2 (HP 31 | AC 20 | T 14 | FF 16 | CMD 18 | F +7 | R +5 | W +1 | Init +3 | Per +7

O_o....hmm strange Leon. Lemme see if I can figure out why.

Edit: When you're looking at the little inch long preview things, you should be able to click where it says "Chapter 1 (Introduction)" or any of the other chapters to go into an expanded view. At least that's what it does for me.

Tim Deamon wrote:

New system? Sounds intriguing.

HP 22/25, AC 20, F +4, Ref +2, W +1, Init +1

yeah, the expanded view was also only an inch tall. Maybe it's just an interface glitch.

male human cavalier 3 [hp 26/26] [AC 17, touch 12, flat-footed 15 (+5 armor, +2 Dex)] [Fort +4, Ref +3, Will +1 ] [Init +2] [Perception +2 ] [CMD 18]

I'm a little time-stretched right now regarding PbP.

But I will take a look at your game, Jevon.

This is just a general warning I'm making in all my PbP. My schedule is going to be wonky for the next week or so as I'm staying with my dad. Don't be afraid if I miss a day or two. I'll let you all know when I'm back at home. Cheers.

Okey dokey. Thanks for the heads up, Matt :-).

I like d20 in general but I hate classes, mix that with several alt rules and it begins to look like a new system. I include a lot from the Alexandrian essays so hopefully it will be enjoyable.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

I'm very sorry guys, my internet got shut off due to me torrenting Game of Thrones, and I haven't been much online since then, but I'm still alive and here now!

We totally understand. At least I do.

Male Elf Oracle 2 / Fighter 1 (HP 17 | AC 15 | T 12 | FF 13 | CMD 14 | F +2 | R +2 | W +5 | Init +2 | Per +7)

Ouch, that stings.

Urban Barbarian 1/Musket Master 2 (HP 31 | AC 20 | T 14 | FF 16 | CMD 18 | F +7 | R +5 | W +1 | Init +3 | Per +7

I got a warning over that myself. Episode 6.

HP 22/25, AC 20, F +4, Ref +2, W +1, Init +1

I just copied it from a friend's computer straight on to an external drive. Same idea, no hastle. :)

Male Human 3rd Paladin |HP 25/25|AC 15|CMD 16|Fort +7|R: +4|W: +4|Init: +0|Perc: -2|

Is Game of Thrones any good?

HP 22/25, AC 20, F +4, Ref +2, W +1, Init +1

It's as close as we can get to a turning the books directly into cinima.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

I heartily recommend it. The author has had a lot of direct influence with the production of the show. It's got movie-level budget, and since it's so long they don't need to cut much at all from the story. What Leon said.

Male Human 3rd Paladin |HP 25/25|AC 15|CMD 16|Fort +7|R: +4|W: +4|Init: +0|Perc: -2|

I may need to read the books first then...

Male Human 3rd Paladin |HP 25/25|AC 15|CMD 16|Fort +7|R: +4|W: +4|Init: +0|Perc: -2|

Ooooh... party conflict... Sorry Leon, I have to play Paladin here.

He knows all about being given the power of a deity (I'm guessing thats what we are calling Eveldine) to ensure justice is brought about.

Male Changeling Fighter 1, Monk 1, Rogue 1, Ranger 1, Actor 5

No problem.

I'm pretty sure you're putting the cart before the horse though. Detect evil won't help (because of the Hit Dice thing) but smite evil and a slap to the face might, but even then evil=/=traitor, and a traitor might just be neutral.

Leon just really thinks trial by combat is a bad idea, both intellectually and morally.

Male Human 3rd Paladin |HP 25/25|AC 15|CMD 16|Fort +7|R: +4|W: +4|Init: +0|Perc: -2|

Yeah, Endrian kind of thinks that should he fight someone who isn't the traitor, Eveldine will take his Paladin powers (which probably would happen) and give them to his opponent (highly unlikely)

He just wants some form of assurance beyond a hunch and circumstantial evidence that they are punishing the correct person. He's just way too focused on what he thinks a Paladin should do as opposed to what he really should do.

male human cavalier 3 [hp 26/26] [AC 17, touch 12, flat-footed 15 (+5 armor, +2 Dex)] [Fort +4, Ref +3, Will +1 ] [Init +2] [Perception +2 ] [CMD 18]

Hey, Jevon, I sincerely hope Baster is not too insufferable for you :-).

If he was not my character, I bet I'd want to whack him in the head myself.

Nobleman Baster, the unwitting advocate for the People's revolution ;-).

HP 22/25, AC 20, F +4, Ref +2, W +1, Init +1

Endrian, if we don't know if someone is a traitor or not, don't you think gambling with your paladinhood is a little too much of a risk? Seems like playing russian roulette to me. If you're wrong an innocent man is dead and you get royally screwed.

Male Human 3rd Paladin |HP 25/25|AC 15|CMD 16|Fort +7|R: +4|W: +4|Init: +0|Perc: -2|

Wisdom 7 over here!

He may have some smarts, but consequences for actions can be a little beyond him at times.

As for the argument, two LG characters arguing made me laugh a little.
