Ok everyone is done save the Xerzayas's pet. Also he and Ayishidaj have the same trait "finding haleen, and are both suli. Ya could have a connection brother and sister mayhap

Also you to will need to pick 1 type of energy you can call forth. You do not gain all 4 :)

anyhow I will get the RP rolling, the pet needs made, I'll have a final once over of the pc's and all but we seem ready to roll

Let the game begain

sorry I use him so little

The Exchange

Stupid post eating monster.

Sorry for the delay. I'm fighting a cold and the medicines sometimes make it hard for me to concentrate. But, I've posted my pet and now need to outfit my char and write a backstory.

Seeker, it does not note starting gold for the class. I've assumed the same as the bard (3d6x10). Also, the eidolon begins at 2HD. What is the method to roll the second hit die?

Sunset it seems that our characters are destined to be connected after all. According to the Looking for Haleen trait we should be connected. I'd like to suggest that we're twins. You are the more outgoing one while I am more of an introvert.

Ookay, wasn't expecting the 'hook up', so I suppose we shall see what comes what may.

*offers friendly, family hug*

Um, to seekerofshadowlight (They who are't DM)?

We choose which energy type we 'manifest'? Only one? Okay, what do we get in recompense?

*bows formally*

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

mori, I am gonna hold at six, I will place you as an alt if you like

Sunset, I know the book does not say you only get 1 type, does not say you do not eaither. The way I look at it is, you gain 2 stat bumps, no neg stat, low light, +2 to two separate skills, and 4 energy resistances .

So making you pick 1 energy type seems a small price to me, and more fits in the theme of how I see them, as beginning with a connection to one of the primal elements

I am willing to listen to a good argument for allowing all, if ya have one. But right now my sense of balance is leaning toward just 1

Dax, I would like a description of your pet

*Ayish gives a heart felt laugh* Oh no! Oh wondrous DM, they the keeper of the laws. You'll not trick me into some game of words. I'm wise to such Gennie ways.

She shall be more bonded to the elements of water. How much more use is there in bringing some nice chill to the blistering heat of the day? ^_~

Also folks if anyone is aiming toward achievement feats let me know

lso a few things now I have the thread up. Init, will be kinda static and group, meaning I'll roll a d20 and add your init to it, I do this as it speeds up combat , which kills many games

Also In combat, if you have not posted in 24/hours I will NPC you nominally to not stale the game

Grand Lodge

What would be an appropriate instrument to play for Ayishidaj to dance to?

Grand Lodge

Mamood has been updated.

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

Dax

Spoiler:

OK a few things
1> How do you have 8 skill points? Should be 6 by my count 4 for class +2 for Int
2> Mamood has to many skill points he should have 6. 8 starting -2 for Int

Well other then that It looks good, let me see how I am gonna do hp past level 1 and I'll give ya Mamood's HP,

Grand Lodge

Seeker

Spoiler:
Xerzayas gets 4 base + 2 Int + 1 Finding Haleen Trait + 1 Favored

Mamood gets (8 base - 2 Int) x 2 HD

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

Dax

Spoiler:

Ugh your are correct, I forgot about the trait gaining one and Manmoods 2 HD, however he is still off

You have spent 8 skill points, as 2 HD he should have 12 [16-4]

Grand Lodge

Seeker

Spoiler:
I apologize, the base should be 6 not 8. I get a total of 8 class skills. Sorry about that.

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

Dax

Spoiler:

No that was my goof as well. I see know 8 was taking into account a 7 Int and 2 levels. But the base is 6 per HD, so 12-4 :)

I so goofed there, sorry bout that

Also Mamoons HP is 12. Like a pet I am going average HP thats 5.5 round down per HD +1 con. Making him 6 per HD meaning 12HP

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

Ok guys I am back, everything is fine on this end, will update tonight

Grand Lodge

Seeker and Sunset

Spoiler:
In trying to define the relationship between the Xerxzayas and Mamood I've come up with the idea that they share an empathy (life link and mind link). Unfortunately Mamood's responses to these feelings he gets from Xerx can be unexpected due to his alien perspective. That is why Xerx is so stiff and formal. His speech pattern - the precise, clipped, monotone - is part of the way he maintains an internal calm. However, some feelings still bleed through to Mamood, like Xerx's love for his sister, which Mamood reflects as a change in demeanor and being rather familiar with her. Normally, Mamood doesn't speak unless commanded by Xerx, but he will talk with Ayishi rather casually.
Let me know what you think.

Fem Elf Bard 3

*nods* No worries, works for me.

Glad you're back seeker, hope things are going well for you too boot. :)

Cheers!

Great Role playing everyone! I'm really liking these characters!

Everyone seems to be coming up swinging. This is quickly becoming my new favorite game. :D

Sovereign Court

Male hu-man Paladin

I suspect that things are slowing down because the of the holidays. Perfectly understandable! Real life comes first after all. The game will be here when the holidays are over :D

Grand Lodge

I hope so. Most of the games I'm in are slow right now.

Grand Lodge

I just realized that the Guy Humal in this game is the same Guy Humal of the Lidu Diaries fame. I so love your journal. It is inspiring.

Thanks Dax,

Did you ever get to finish your STAP game?

I've been updating my journal again actually! Twice this month!

(it's H u m u a l BTW ;) )

Grand Lodge

Sorry for the mis-spell. And no, unfortunately. We stopped after saving Far Shore. However, I hope my schedule will open up after the new year so that we can get going again.

BTW that battle is so epic. It was more than a year ago and I still remember it vividly. I mapped the whole colony so everyone could see what was happening where. Acts of heroism abounded and the tension was high for the entire marathon session.
I added another ship because they had plans to sink one as it approached. I added a small force of undead attacking from the land as well to give the Jade Ravens something to do. Hey, they're heroes too. The Vrocks got off two dances of ruin, decimating the colonies population, before they were stopped. One of the golems, I added two, was able to make it allt the way to Lavinia's mansion and began to demolish that. Avner, trying to make a run to safety, led group of colonists into the waiting claws of the undead horde and needed to be rescued. Beefed up Yuan-ti sorcerers ran amok the entire battle. After all that, a slightly beefed up Vanthus was a good climax to the fight and left only one PC standing. Unfortunately, not one of the seven PCs died. Somehow each of them ended up under 0 but over -con until help could be had. I was able to thin out their supporting cast in a major way though. There were over 20 major npcs in the action and only 6 made it out alive. The group was able to reincarnate 2 more.
We had been running STAP for a while and needed a break. The Battle of Farshore (Tides of Dread) was, intentionally so I'm told, a perfect point to take a break for a while.

Sovereign Court

Male hu-man Paladin

Ouch! You're a mean DM :D

Spoiler:
I really love how our battle turned out. I didn't enjoy the fight itself, that Yaun-ti was frustrating, the vrocks were literally stopped at the last second, but I think everyone had a chance to shine. We felt like heroes. Tristan was pretty much a support character for most of these fights. She used her summons to provoke AoO and to create flanks (almost everyone in the party has levels of rogue) but the ending was picture perfect. I'd been saving that orb and those spell tricks all fight, I was sure there was going to be a BBEG, and when Vanthus popped out I knew I was going to blast him and to hell with the rest. I don't think that adventure could have turned out any better. The next adventure was actually a bit of a let down by comparison.

Edit: I've hidden the STAP stuff

For the benefit of the rest of us playing in Seeker's Savage Tide game, please be careful with spoilers. :-)

(I'm not really all that concerned about spoilers, but just in case...)

Sovereign Court

Male hu-man Paladin

Sorry hogarth,

You should have lots of time to forget about anything discussed though. By PbP standards your're a good three or four years away from these events :D

In the interest of full disclosure, I leafed through some or all of those issues of Dungeon when they first came out, so I'm already trying to forget. :-)

Grand Lodge

I apologize. It never occurred to me that I was giving out spoilers. I am so sorry.

It might be a bit greedy of me, but I'm about to begin in another LoF game. I'm letting you know in case you have a concern about me meta gaming. It uses the Exalted system rather than PF, so I think it will be different enough to not bring too many temptations. Also, if you recall, I ran STAP up to the battle of farshore (I think I mentioned that before) and I don't think I have had a problem with meta gaming in your STAP game thus far. You would be the better judge of that though. In any case, if you have a problem with it, I'll bow out of the other game.

Happy New Year everyone!

Male Human Cleric 5

Looking at Ayish, it looks like her attack bonuses are wrong. She doesn't have the feat Weapon Finesse, so her melee attack bonus should be -1, not +3.

Grand Lodge

I don't mind that Ayishi isn't much of a combatant. Though Hogarth (N'djamena) is right, you need to get weapon finesse before you are at +3 with your weapons. Also, this is the first time I took notice of your equipment. The extra water really is a good idea. If Seeker will allow a bit of a retcon, I could have easily purchased some leather armor for you (only 10gp) or at least some something more practical for you to wear. I'm a big brother, I've done this before in RL. Your sister is mad at you only until she realizes she needs more clothes on or a change of clothes anyway.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

*Bows* Terribly sorry for that mix up. I'd given the character Weapon Finess at first and then changed things and not properly gone through the character and edited things later. Also sorry for not noticing this thread earlier and replying/fixing things either. *hangs head in shame*

As for the armor, while I indeed thank you for the thought, I'd rather decline. The party Wizard shouldn't be any wehere near combat normaly. ;)

Much thanks.

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

I didn't catch it myself. And I double check even...sigh.

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

Ok guys I reposting this just in case anyone does not know I do this.

In combat I tend to make save, skill checks AoO'S and such from a single player if it is needed to keep the game flowing. I mean no disrespect to anyone by doing this, it is just something I do to keep the game from stalling
