Welcome to the PBP for the campaign. This thread is for all out-of-character comments, conversations, etc. The first post is up in the gameplay thread, rewinding a tiny bit for where we left off. Post when you're ready, and make sure that you'll be able to find your way back to this thread, and the gameplay thread.

There are houserules listed in the Campaign Info thread, as well as guidelines for available resources for current and replacement characters.

I'll also need you to re-structure your characters slightly to fit a 25-pt. point buy generation method. The current array maths out to a 33 pt. point buy, which is rather absurd. Post here when you have an alias ready and such, and I'll send you information from your character sheet as needed. New characters and characters without backgrounds, I refer you to the following for assistance: Character Background Generation. The links on the bottom are especially helpful.

Still working on the statting up for my sorc etc. Will be done by the end of the day today most likely. and Anonym, in your account profile setup, you will be able to create Amukta and stat her up. Look at how Jlighters setup is or How my Auriona setup is. Also I recommend under the character name having your most important bonuses so you dont have to look back at your sheet in another tab, or if you are using the Wayfinder app, not being screwed when you are trying to post something and are forgetting all your modifiers....

As far as easy formatting, not really. I usually copy-paste from a saved format I have on my laptop that has most of the commands pre-written. The bolding, italicizing, etc. is all HTML-style command-line coding. At the bottom of any text box it will have a spoiler tab labeled "How to format your text" which will show you what commands achieve which effects.

Your proposed character looks good. Might want to double-check a couple of things that are level-based, such as HD and CL and such. Also, I goofed when I typed yours up. Your HP line should read: HP 32 (3d8+9), or possibly +12. I don't remember where you were putting your favored class bonus, but perhaps it was into HP. Your skill points that I posted look correct for a neutral intelligence human, although yours are a bit different. I'm seeing (unless I'm missing something) 15 skill points on what you posted, which would include 3 favored class points.

Also, something that might be worth noting for folks. The Paizo boards do actually have a time limit on how long you have to submit once you've started typing. If you have a lengthy backstory to type, I recommend typing it in Notepad or a similar program, then copying it into the text box. I also advise using the Select-All/Copy trick to save everything just in case.

Formatting in a nutshell:

Open format with the appropriate command:

Bold = [b]
Italics = [i]
Bigger Text = [bigger]
Smaller Text = [smaller]
Spoilers = [spoiler]

Then type the necessary text/functions, then use a close command. Close commands are the same as the open commands, except they use [/ instead of [. I tend to type the open and close commands immediately, then type necessaries in between them.

Ex: Stealth: 1d20 + 75 ⇒ (19) + 75 = 94

Correct, I got the curse. No I did not factor that in. Did you adjust my skills for the change in Stats? Or do I still need to do that.

I didn't adjust your stats at all. The modifiers are -4 Dex, -2 Cha, and there is a partial physical transformation that accompanies those and explains them.

How's everybody doing on conversion/leveling? Are we ready to pick it up where we left off?

Oh, and as far as HP goes. Just treat whatever your HP was as what it is for the first three levels, and we'll factor any changes in Con modifiers into future levels.


Ok, can you bring the character sheets with you today. Its easier for me to work with that way.
And I have a gameplay post that ive wanted to make for a few days now, i just am not sure of the modifiers to the roll that I want to make.

Furthermore if I understand things correctly posting in the gameplay section with the main account rather than the character alias is considered poor form.( I assume someone will correct me if the understanding I just put forth is incorrect) Thanks for making that first post though, one step closer to getting this thing off the ground.

I think he was actually suggesting that you change the alias that used the post to "Gauron." As far as changing the name on any given post or changing the post content, there is only a window of 60 minutes from the time of posting to submit any edits or changes. We can roll with what's there for now. One trick might be to change the "Elumbra" alias to "Gauron" and then change the "Gauron" alias to "Elumbra," then change which one is your default posting alias for the boards.

It is strongly preferable to post in the Gameplay thread In-Character, and to keep OOC commentary in the Gameplay thread to a minimum except for necessary commentary (like conditional statements, modifiers that are unsure, information about save DCs for spells and such, etc.). OOC stuff is what this thread is for, so any conversation that isn't being had by characters should be happening here instead.


Just letting you guys know It might be difficult for me to post at all for the rest of this week til I get back. The net is really frustrating here, and this has been the only time I have been able to get full access at all. A storm took out the net for about 8 hours lol.

I didnt post with an alias for that post so I cant change it. I did create one for Gauron though and will use that in the future

As far as the quote you're talking about, Amukta, it will go away in time. It's just letting you know that if you haven't finalized your name, you have that long to change it. For example, if I create a character "Gauron," and I post, and then I decide later that his name is actually "Gauron The Undying," I can change it up until I have made 10 posts, at which point the name is locked.

As far as posting images, you cannot. You can post a link to an image using the URL commands, but that's the closest you can get. Everything else is text and basic text formatting.

Speaking of formatting, here's a sample post in my preferred style. I find it makes it easier to go through a post and read it as intended:

Gauron walks down the street, looking for an armor vendor to repair his busted chain shirt. I wonder where to find this guy. She told me to turn left at the stables, or was it right?

Finally spotting the armor vendor in question, Gauron heads inside. "Hey, you. You do armor repairs, right?"

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13 If there are multiple people inside, he'll walk up to the nearest one. If there's nobody in the front room, he'll walk straight to the back room.
Sleight of Hand: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21

GM & Name:
Use spoilers for text meant only for certain individuals. You can make them read what you want by replacing the normal spoiler command text with "spoiler=##", where ## is what you want it to read. The same property applies to dice.

    As far as that Know(religion) DC 20 (Judas only): I take it that means I need to make a knowledge religion check and if I get a 20 or more I can see what it says? If not I should resist the urge?

    Yes. Whenever a spoiler is titled with a Skill and a DC, that means that if one makes that check one may read the contents. Otherwise, no reading it. That one in particular is only available to Judas, not to other characters.

    Anybody have any edits or comments on the loot sale stuff?


    No I looked at the Falchion and the feats that go with it. Im going to wait to switch to falchion. I cant take improved critical till 9th lv so its not worth it yet.

    So it is written, and so it shall be. Regarding distribution of wealth gained by the party: communist, capitalist, or opportunist?

    • Democratic: all property and items go into a party pool and are distributed from that pool (or sold) based on strict majority party vote
    • Communist 1: all items found are sold, with the resulting wealth being distributed evenly to all party members for private use
    • Capitalist: wealth gained from the sale of items is distributed evenly among party members, any items found and kept are not factored into any distribution
    • Communist 2: items found and kept count toward a party member's share of loot and is factored in accordingly when distributing wealth gained from sold items
    • Charity: the party takes only what it needs to survive, then donates the rest to help the needy
    • Anarchy: Gauron takes everything, then Amukta kills him and takes everything that survives the blast; others are casualties of war
    • Religion: the party takes only what it needs to survive, then donates the rest to the church(es)
    • Counterculture: the party converts all the wealth into proscribed substances and gets high

    I think Democratic or Communist 2 makes the most sense. It seems like with communist 1 even if you get some really nice items that as a party you want you still end up selling them and probably losing money on the transaction.
    Though if you give me a few minutes to set up a church I'd also be ok with Religion so long as I get to pick the church that we donate too.


    I like Communist 2. It seems the most fair to me. And it allows people to keep items if they don't want to sell.
