It should be obvious, but is Alkindus a kobold? She didn't register as evil and kobolds are generally evil, and she was described as larger than the other kobolds. What is she?

Yes she's a kobold. She just doesn't have a negative Str and Con score like most kobolds. (Like a dwarf with a positive charisma, for example.)

So, I've realized that there are about 4 different belts that I want...Blinkback Belt, Belt of the Weasel or Tightfit belt, belt of mighty hurling and a belt for physical attributes...

Ok, so, ive been doing some math. If Mud is level 2 that means he has he only needs 7000 experience points to be even with us. We have 41,600 Experience points. We got level 4 at 36,000 so we have 5600 to spare. So, if we were allowed to pump all of those into Mud, then he would only need 1600 to be even with us. Can we do this? Would we want to if we could? If we do, do we just pretend that he has been getting experience this whole time?

Stony, I agree with what you've been saying. I think that Mud's value is only partially due to level. Keeping him lower, means we won't try to overuse him. I think that keeping him one or two levels below the party might be fine. I'm in favor of moving him up to third, if the GM and other party members have no objections.

GM is on board and approves. 7k for level 3.

7K would get him to level 4, he only needs 3K more to get level 3 unless you want him on a different progression than us.

Also, I'm fine keeping him a bit behind us as well.

I see. We will keep him a level behind. I don't know how you guys want to track XP with Mud but 1 level back sounds reasonable.

I figured we would just log it as a negative EXP value in the campaign tracker exp sheet so that his is subtracted from our running total.

Edit: I did it! It’s pretty cool actually that you can deduct exp points like a bank account. I left in the line. I figured you can change the post # to when ever you take the time to level him up. I kinda thought that we would just level when we have enough extra points after we level every time.

Yes. Freebooters is a separate move action, and it grants a +1 to attack and damage against a specific enemy. So basically a +2 all the time! Maybe next time he'll take a level in bard...

Yes, I am still campaigning for a better heal rolling control. Even passing on the rolling to others didn't help. The dice rolling algorithm hates paladins/healers in the party.

So, in terms of our side quest completion log, we finished at the quarry, but did we actually meet the requirements of the quest? The quest (in the log) states, "Search for a mithral and adamantium vein in the earth." We found bars of the metals and a tunnel with played out veins, but I'm not sure if we didn't leave something undone.

You found the metals and have completed the quest. I just forgot in the months between what the specifics were. Instead of untapped veins it has now become kobold blocked already mined veins. The result is the same: adamantium and mithral are unlocked.

I finally got my character sheet completely updated for the new weapons and falcon aspect bracers. "Everything is awesome!"

This is just my preference but I think I would prefer tracking XP religiously and you just adjusting encounters however is necessary OR not tracking and you just having us level up whenever you think is appropriate. I think It might be frustrating tracking it but not always following those numbers. I’ll do whatever everyone else wants (or is easier for you) and it probably won’t end up being a big deal either way but that is just my 2 cents.

Sounds good to me! I don't mind you guys going up in level when you have the XP. It's really not too hard, mostly just adding an extra monster or two (if they're low level bad guys) or giving a plus 2 here or there on single monsters (like this one). I won't be doing that until you get to level 5, and even then I'll only do it if I feel like the encounters are obviously underpowered to the point of not being much fun. It's fun to obliterate monsters every now and then, but every time gets a little old.

I started to update the Highest section in our achievement page on the campaign tracker, but I got to wondering, does anyone know what post it is updated through? I have the time to get it up-to-date, but i'm not sure where to start for the running tallies.

Yes, you're correct. According to Pathfinder combat rules (see Core Rule Book | Dying (Negative Hit Points))

"If your hit point total is negative, but not equal to or greater than your Constitution score, you're dying.

"A dying character immediately falls unconscious and can take no actions.

"A dying character loses 1 hit point every round. This continues until the character dies or becomes stable.

"When your character's current hit points drop to a negative amount equal to his Constitution score or lower . . . he's dead."

Both of your Constitution scores are 14 and your HP 35, so the 49 would meet your Con score and you'd be instantly and permanently dead! Permanently because we have no resurrection spells.

I think she was a swordsman(woman). She left, I don't think we asked the quarry master what happened to her. So, no, we don't know.
