Basically waiting to see if anyone (Rags) wants to end the condition early or if we just want to chill here while those guys suck water.
Ulthar the Warped One |
Oh, didn't see that post. I'll just pretend Kronug and Ulthar were both actually in range then.
"I fear I've filled my spell-slots with murder facilitation. Do we have a cure for fish?"

Sileth unstrings his bow keeping it attached at one end forming a makeshift fishing pole and then rummages through his pack finding the Pathfinder equivalent of gummy worms. He then moves next to the pool and begins fly fishing for melee-bros.

Jean David Nau |
Jean remembers he has the ability to ask for Besmara's boons and asks her to remove the "curse" for Kronug.
"Kronug, you can go to the next room, and bring the enemies, if any, back here, so I can help."
He had a level 3 slot "open". Can he use it? It would take 15 minutes.
Marckus |
I think we should wait. I don't like the idea of me getting knocked out and having to stand back up and dive into the water to get healed.
Rags McRory |
Wait
Jean David Nau |
Jean looks for mermaids while the others wait. He decides he prefers breathing air, if just for the possibility of smoking.
Ok, we wait. Ready on my part.
When he no longer can breath water he surfaces, wet and dripping, with a smile on his face.
"Let's do this!"
drbuzzard |
You are barely able to make Kronug wait for 3 hours without killing something by having 3 of you sit on him the whole time. You do it in shifts because he's a lousy mattress.
Eventually the Jeopardy music stops and your cleric can breathe air again, so you get off your psychotic comrade who immediately rushes to open the last door.
Opposite the doors of this massive room stands a towering archway made of shimmering black stone. The archway’s keystone seems strangely out of place—unlike the surrounding black stone, the keystone is a pale gray and bears fragments of a spiky set of Thassilonian runes. Inside the archway is a world of shadows in which a strangely beautiful elven city can be seen. Smears of blood along the floor seem to lead up to and through the archway into the flickering world beyond.
Standing in the room is a large, burly Drow in armor holding a big sword. He appears to be tapping his toe in impatience.
in undercommon "You people sure took your time. I wanted a fight. I've been getting bored. "
Marckus |
"A burly drow. You don't see that every day." Marckus remarkus. Then he recounts all the things he's seen recently that you don't see every day, and simply shrugs in resignation.
"You wouldn't want to just arm wrestle for it, would you?"
Jean David Nau |
"We got bored too, but your friends back there delayed us... Next time you can stand at the start of the place, so we can kill you first."
Jean David Nau |
"Hey! You said you wanted a fight! If you want to bail, I promise to make my best to prevent the others from slaughtering you. But you will have to run very fast!"
He makes a bow signaling at the door behind them.

"You know guys, this is the first drow that didn't attack us on sight. That almost makes us friends." Marckus turns to face the drow. "Say, what's beyond that portal, big guy? What am I looking at?"
Rags McRory |
"Leave now and we'll give you a bucket of aboleth goo for your trouble."
Sileth |
"One of you wants to arm wrestle and the other wants to kill me. Could you hold a vote and decide? In any case..." then in a low voice "None Shall Pass!"
"I'm not looking to arm wrestle...However, I could use an interesting arrow target. But before we begin how about telling us what's going on here. I'm sure you think you're about to kill us so why not tease us with a good story about what you drow are up to before we begin"
Marckus |
"Well I think I need to talk with the bosses before stepping through any portals, and optionally slaying lieutenants in the before time." Marckus looks to the others. "Group huddle, fish room!"
Meanwhile, in the fish room...
"Okay guys, cast your spells and such. Then we'll go kill a guy I guess. Unless you think we can bribe him to join us. Which would be extremely cool and a definite break from our usual strategy."
Rags McRory |
"I'm not wasting spells on a lieutenant. "
Kronug the Kellid |
"Eh, I think the Lieutenant might be a great addition to our party. He seems to be strong and seriously, I would appreciate some help on the frontlines." says the kellid before scratching his chin "I say if he won't accept a bribe and partnership to our bar, we offer him to join us after we defeat him. He is in thr Union so he must know the 'Swap allegiances after being defeated' clause."
"Plus we'd better add some diversity to our group." Kronug comments before remembering he and Jean are the only humans (Gumby should be considered half-human half-jelly)"Eeehm... I mean, we have no redeemed evil guy. I'm not evil enough to go through redemption, and Marckus' genealogy can't be proved to involve pillaging or murdering, I'm sure. We need the Lieutenant."
Marckus |
"Alright, I'll just knock him out when I punch him." Marckus says, smashing his fist into his other hand. "Or, you know... the bribing might work too."
Who's our resident diplomacy guy?
EDIT: Looks like it's Jean. You clear on the plan mate?
Jean David Nau |
Jean takes a step forward while muttering a prayer to Besmara and dropping his weapons.
"You seem like a smart guy. There we are, a lot of us, having killed everything and everyone in our path, and there are you, alone, abandoned here by you boss to die forgotten and in vain. Well, the hell with them! Besmara tells us to follow the wind, and the wind now blows in your favor! My companions seem to have taken a liking to you, and that is very unusual. So the proposal is for you to switch sides, join us, survive and make a profit at the same time! What do you say? Good hours, good women, better pay. Fancy a new job?"

Kronug the Kellid |
As I know I go before him, and I'll soon go to sleep, here comes the Kronuging!
Kronug grins as his mind enters a new kind of rage: the friendly frenzy. Keep in mind, though, that he appears as dangerous if not even more... what with a rabid maniac smiling as he tries to hit you with the flat of his blade.
