Sabola |
If Seniko is correct, then Sabola will follow her directions.
I will charge 20' feet due south (provoking from the one halbardier left alive) and attack the bad guy with the black face mark thingy. Power Attacking.
Club Hit: 1d20 + 4 + 2 + 1 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 4 + 2 + 1 + 1 - 1 = 17
Club Damage: 1d6 + 2 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 + 3 = 9
Ternock |
Ternock looks at Seeker with much disappoint. Then looks back at the devil with draconic hatred in his eyes. Before lashing out with a vicious, yet defensive tail strike. For with a barbed tail similar to his, the devil probably has poison in it. And Ternock doesn't want to deal with that at the current moment.
Fighting Defensively
Blessed, Inspired, Arcane Topor Tail Strike: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Damage: 1d3 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Ternock then nimbly moves through the air away from the devil, hoping to gain a better position.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
AC24
Seniko |
not the one I chalenged, I need to defeat them myself to continue my glorious chalenge. I origninally chalenged the northern one of the two.
would it work, to ready an action on defeat of an enemy?
DM Tuyena |
Seeker makes her Attack vs Saul.
AoO: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Damage: 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (7, 1) + 10 = 18
Seeker uses Adoration vs her attacker.
Adoration Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Laurer pulls a shot against Naranae.
Arrow Naranae: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (7) + (5, 4) + 2 = 18
Arrow Naranae: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Damage: 2d8 ⇒ (8, 5) = 13
Finally, the imp goes invisible.
Naranae takes 26 damage. Seeker does not take 9, but misses Saul.
Seeker, Volk, and Nel may now act.
Volk Tulmere |
Volk's changed form looks up at one of the Gendarmes completely enraged. As Naranae goes down the dark figure gives off a wail of horrifying proportions and looks to Laurer. " WWRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYY! "
He leaps from the table and runs on all fours before leaping up into the air and creating a massive claw to rip into one of Seeker's Gendarmes. His body constantly twitching and chanting disturbing sounds.
Berserk Blessed Inspired Void Blast (Slashing): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Berserk Blessed Inspired Void Blast (Slashing) Damage: 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (2, 6) + 10 = 18
The darkness around him seems to build up once more and a viscous purplish-black substance covering his wound.
This is the round you have moved and picked up the necklace btw Nel
Volk Tulmere |
Yeah i was a bit confused too, basically I assume the attacks from before were some sort of surprise round, then they went into initiative. So like our last round actions went already.. because we didnt know the Init had changed. Either way we both went now.
Ternock |
Currently can't move myself due to the device I'm on but I'm gonna move next to Naranae.
Ternock administers smelling salts to Naranae so she wakes up.
I rather have you half dead and conscious than dead.
Seniko |
Seniko, her eyes no longer the color of fresh blood lit by the setting sun, shouts towards Volk
"Calm down, all enemys beside Bojask are dead"
The Samurai girl picks up a crossbow and walks closer to Bojask
"Volk does not want you dead, so please throw away your weapon and surrender, if you don't I might be forced to kill you"
, pick up crossbow, move, ready free action against approach (drop crossbow)
DM Tuyena |
Bojask looks towards Sabola and slowly shakes his head before making his way towards him.
Acrobatics: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (19) - 2 = 17
As Bojask passes Seniko he looks down at her, "Women shouldn't fight." He also pats Nel on the head as he goes.
Once he makes it to within reach of Sabola, he strikes.
Sword Sabola: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30
Damage: 2d6 + 22 ⇒ (6, 4) + 22 = 32
Sword Crit Confirm Sabola: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (4) + 17 = 21
Damage: 2d6 + 22 ⇒ (2, 1) + 22 = 25
Sabola is struck down brutally by Bojask, whose weapon you still are unable to perceive.
Sabola takes 57 damage.
Volk Tulmere |
Volk looks at Sabola being cut down and then at Bojask, then Laurer and roars out. " SAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULL! " Looking to Seniko, Sabola's corpse, Nel, Gramlag's corpse.
He forms a platform 15ft up and then leaps up from a table to catch the edge pulling himself up.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Hrm makes it 6 ft a foot more than needed so he grabs the ledge and pulls himself up I think that is like.. DC5 ?
Climb: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (13) - 2 = 11
Seniko |
"Those people" Seniko makes a sweeping motion including all her allies, lingering on Sabola " have saved my life against the treachery of Saul's wizard ally. I will fight at their side till the very end."
Nel Shadow touched |
well, the frothing, roaring and snarling is a big hint. Come on, be real. Rage is basically the same as going berserk. It is not a subtle or quiet thing. Or it shouldn't be. It is not just being angry. but even if he was, a 4th level barb would get +6 damage from power attack and +2 from rage. where did the other +15 damage come from? He has to be higher level.
Volk Tulmere |
Thats your opinion not a fact or proponent of the game at all. Not all barbarians are illiterate frothing savages. Rage is just as likely an Adrenaline rush.. you know.. those things that allow mothers to rip car doors off to save thier children? As for the damage I explained it in the discussion thread. Two handing a weapon does wondrous things with Str.
Volk Tulmere |
A barbarian can call upon inner reserves of strength and ferocity, granting her additional combat prowess. Thats all it actually says at no point is that aubdible or seeable, thus my statement is closer to the truth
Ternock |
The most Epic Bluff Ever that could very well be true!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
He... he... ha... haha... HAHAHAHAHA!
Ternock laughs loudly! His body shaking hard from laughter. The sound rings out over the Golden Goblin.
You... haha... you still think haha... that Saul just, "happened" by you when you were getting your bones broken in the streets... haha. Saul doesn't just "happen" by things Bojask. He made a deal with Croat... They staged it all... that way you would feel in debt to him for "saving" you. Croat thought you lost your edge and agreed to sell you to Saul, but only after your bones were broken. So you could never be as good as you were and wouldn't pose a threat to him. 100gp doesn't buy a killer like you, cripple or not.
Ternock then looks to Laurer.
The same goes for you. Do you really think Saul just "happened" by when you were about to be executed. Every job we have been on for him, Saul has kept something from us or deceived us to think of our job in another way. He's pulled the wool over our eyes for far to long. Why do you think Croat and Padomae were still on speaking terms with Saul after his so called, "not being in the business anymore" turn? He wanted you two. And he got both of you; through a very underhanded way. And kept allies to do business with.
Welp... we will see how this plays out!
Nel Shadow touched |
brilliant! This might work
it makes sense. I wondered about that when he told us the stories of how he found you. It gad a false note to it. He spoke like a con man, like someone who is selling the same story. To you two. shade gestures at the two of them.
not us. I thought it was odd, him sayin what a nice person he was.
bluff aid roll: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Ternock |
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Size bonus not included.
He betrayed us, he will betray you... or was about to... Nel found a necklace of fireballs on Nicar er... the Faceless Man. Saul was was planning to blow everyone up on the ground floor with no regard for anyone, Nicar just never made it to the correct position for him to do so. You would think after all this time, you and Laurer would be something he would want to keep right? He has no allegiance to anyone. And will sacrifice anyone to get ahead. And you and Laurer are worth more than than that! You are people too!
Ternock steps forward.
If you feel differently then let it be so.
Ternock lands and spreads his wings, then bows his head down to the floor.
I... a Dragon... will admit... You are far superior... to even me Bojask...
Ternock says with the up most honesty.
Volk Tulmere |
DM Tuyena |
Laurer goes and sits on the stairs and sighs as he watches Bojask scale onto the catwalk.
"Sorry everyone, I'll do my best to help fix the damage we caused."
By the time the party catches up to Volk and Bojask, the body of Saul, what's left of it, would be unrecognizable if not for the intact golden key.

DM Tuyena |
As the party gathers up the things, as soon as the Deed to the Gold Goblin is touched, a voice addresses you all.
"I couldn't help but notice some of your friends died. I'm bound to serve the owner of the Gold Goblin for the next year. I'd really rather not. You release me from my contract, I'll show you where Saul hid a scroll of Reincarnate. You won't find it without my help."

Ternock |
Ternock will eat some Gendarmes then head upstairs and will slurp down some Saul juices... and smile happily. Drinking deeply.
DM, rolls in roll20, 5 groups of rolls, Gendarmes then Saul
Volk Tulmere |
When the party does reach the Two they see or rather hear sobbing, roar and the sound of crunching bones and ripping flesh and see Volk perched over Saul on all fours... Eating him. Or whats left of him. He looks up to the party entrails hanging from his lips as the viscous coating that covered him started to fall off like oil being cleaned by rain. And under it the absolute pained and tear-stricken grief-filled face of innocence slowly and painfully dying. The approach of confusion.. then realization then utter despair as the viscera drops to the ground. Volk wailed and sobbed curling into himself.
" Mister Gramlag.. and everyone.. got hurt.. died.. And I.. I... I am a bad person too! I was too weak! Waaaaaaahh! " The odd appearance of a grown man.. weeping covered in gore and blood.
