They have taken their first action, I will allow an reaction from everyone who is awake and then its is the first round of Initiative. (See the earlier post)

Nadine's eyes shoot open and a red glow rises around them as she prepares to defend herself before she realizes it's Vank. Looking at the hobgoblin, she hopes there is some danger or else he is there to kill her.

Make a light over the water, there! I think maybe they are casting spells. Stanislav says as he peers through the darkness at the sound of chanting and readies his bow. If he can see who is chanting he will attempt to target one of the chanters with his longbow.

The lights flows out in the direction Vank indicated and soon they cast their pale light on a small group of tritons. Stanislavs arrow flies high and true striking one of them in the shoulder, the chanting however continues. You feel the humidity raise as the chanting concludes and 5 small water elementals materialise.

Concentration DC 14: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

Can you deal with all 5 of them?

Crap! 5 at once? I wish I had disrupted at least one of the summonings. We may need a map for this fight. Where are the captain and crew? and how close are the elementals? Heck I do not know how big the ship is. Do we have room to maneuver?


A map is going to take some time, as I have to draw it by hand, one is not included in the campaign setting. I will see what I can do, but I am not makeing any promises.

OK. Is there some cover that Stanislav can get behind to continue firing his bow? Maybe a partial rail or smaller boats on deck?


I have given up on drawing a map for the time being.

Think of the boat as a flat bottomed viking like ship. There is a solid wooden rail on each side of the vessel. Stored in the middle are the weapons you are transporting. On each side is app. 5 ft. from the cargo to the railing. In each end of the ship has an open space of app.20 by 10 ft. There are 1 man at the helm and the rest including the captian sleeps in the walkway on the side away from you and your attackers. Is this helpful enough to provide a picture

We will make do OM. I am bald to hear about the solid wooden rail. With all of us, all the crew AND the 5 elementals its pretty crowded. What size elementals were summoned? Vank, I cannot open that link.

With the appearance of the elementals Stanislav will begin a general shout to arms to wake the rest of the crew.

Odd me too, at the time it worked but now it goes to the Campaign tad too. I'm just confused.

Still no love. But I will get by . Ready when you are. Thought I am not sure how we fight creatures in the water. I do not relish getting in the water to engage them.


Well there are some water elementals (5) on the boat you could engage first. I will leave it up to you how and if you want to engage the enemies in the water.

I posted an initiative earlier, so lets get back opn track.

Stanislav think of it as small corridors 5 ft wide along the cargo and length of the ship with a 10x20 ft. area in each end. You are all currently in one end with the elementals. I hope this helps a little.

Positioning himself so that most of the elementals will have to provoke from him if they approach he attacks one with his glaive-guisarme using combat expertise to bolster his defenses and power attack to do additional damage.

Nadine finishes her spell, and Stanislav begins to grow much larger. By the time it finishes, he stands over 10 feet tall. Then she turns to toward the boat and beckons to the person controlling it. "Oh, do join us, my dear."

Not sure I understand Nadine. The captain of the boat is still in our employ. Its the creatures in the water that are hostile to us.
