Scion: Ragnarok

Game Master DM Ragnarok

The children of the Aesir, recently come into the knowledge of their own lineage and power, begin the most perilous and important journey in all of creation; to attempt to navigate through Ragnarok. To save what they can from the Twilight of the Gods and forge a new world...or die trying.

Dramatis Personae (Players):
Chase O'Connor (Portrayed by lazulin)- Scion of Rán. Australian surfer, just now 18. Raised by conservative, emotionally abusive adoptive parents. Excellent surfer and good at getting his way. Looking for a place to belong and to really feel like part of a family and community.

Chloé Marthaler (Portrayed be Jesse Heinig)- Scion of Freya. Actress and doctor, as at home portraying strong female characters in media as she is in her private practice or volunteering at Planned Parenthood.

Dustin Reinhard (Portrayed by Dodekatheon)- Scion of Thor. Ex-professional athlete, current fitness instructor and business owner. Way smarter than jocks have a reputation for, and way more fit than nerds have a reputation for. He really just wants to help others and do good in the world.

Erika Erlingsson (Portrayed by Kittenmancer)- Scion of Frigg. Prosecutor beyond compare. Seeking to make sure that justice is not done only in the mortal world, but everywhere.

Nick Thornton (Portrayed by eggellis)- Scion of Hel. Medical Examiner who rose above a violent past to build a good life for himself.

Ulf Johnson (Portrayed by rungok)- Scion of Heimdall. Ex-cop, current P.I. Driven to ensure that the guilty do not escape, and now full of the knowledge that most mortals are puppets to dark forces.

Dramatis Personae (Gods):
Freya- Goddess of battle and leader of the Valkyries. One of the first feminists, she fights as fiercely as any in all the Nine Realms, and is wise enough to know that war and valour can take many forms. The tale of Ragnarok does not speak of her fate.

Frigg- Greatest magician and seer of the Aesir. Wife to Odin All-Father; quite overprotective and worried over her son Baldur and his fate in Ragnarok. The tale of Ragnarok does not speak of her fate.

Heimdall- The Guardian of the Bifrost. Defender of Asgard. Heimdall sees all, and in some poems is called the father of Mankind. He does seem to care for the fate of Midgard more than other Aesir. In Ragnarok, Heimdall and Loki are fated to kill one another.

Hel- Goddess of Death. Ruler of Helheim. Daughter of Loki and the giantess Angrboda, Hel is often inscrutable. Held at arm's length by the other Aesir, she hold Helheim against the Titans...though if her ill treatment continues, who can say what side she will take com Ragnarok?

Rán- Goddess of the Ocean. Originally a Titanspawn and Avatar of the Drowned Road, Rán eventually joined the Aesir as her love of Midgard and it's waters grew. She is grandmother to Heimdall. The tale of Ragnarok does not speak of of her fate.

Thor- The Friend of Man. God of Thunder. The strongest of all Aesir, with a quick laugh and a quick temper. Thor isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, which has led to his downfall more than once. During Ragnarok, Thor is fated to slay Jörmungandr, the World Serpent, before succumbing to Jörmungandr's venom and dying himself.

Dramatis Personae (Antagonists):
Werner Krieger- a Titanspawn, owner of Krieger Munitions and a Werewolf. Responsible for several heinous acts that the Scions know of (and likely more besides).
