Leaving the Tower rejuvenated by Lady Saharel, you head for the monastery and exchange a couple of words with Allendi before riding out on a borrowed horse. It's not Perigia's this time. You don't bother to look among the ruins. Instinct tells you he'll be running. He can't run far enough or fast enough to escape you.
By now you know the working of Devlin's mind like your own. He'll be headed for Loudwater. You might as well get there in comfort. You're not so foolish that you don't stop to question anyone you meet on the way, but for once, Devlin doesn't seem to be looking for employment. He's lying low for now, and you can afford to be patient.
Loudwater is as it always was, but if you know where to look, you'll always find a Devlin. A few people owe you favours. A little coin, a few words, some helpful advice and he's yours whenever you want to find him. So, one evening, you do just that. The inn's crowded, but he's right where you knew he'd be. Right where he knew you'd be. Waiting.
"Got a proposition for me that doesn't include my agonising death mouthy gal?"
A great game and made me look at forgotten realms with the enthusiasm I thought I lost thanks mostly to the last group I played with having a dm with an occasional spiteful side so much obliged and look forward to seeing what part 2 brings!
A Question for the dm:
Spoiler:
Mind if I ask if Leo can acquire Thoran's greatsword, looking at picking up a backup weapon even if its actually mundane but not sure if its possible since I suspect it would have to be at least consecrated to avoid shar's influence

Leo - thank you. I will reliably try to kill you all, but I won't be spiteful about it :)
Leo
Spoiler:
Snaggle's got Thoran's greatsword at the moment. You'd need to ask him. It's a +1 magic weapon and it does indeed have Shar's sign engraved on it. It doesn't have any other special properties - Thoran was just really good at using it. The Shar marking is just a marking - it has no mystical value. You could get it ground down quite easily.

Not necessary hadn't noticed Snaggletooth had picked it up assumed it was still where it fell will look into alternative weapon choices when he next can

Snaggletooth likes trophies. (And the gold for selling a magical weapon) If you want it, dude, just ask. Nobody picked up the chains or the other gems, so Snaggle is set for cash. ROGUES FOREVER!!
Snaggle goes and picks up the spiked chains and the gems and puts it in his haversack. He smiles as he thinks about how much he can get for the weapons and the gems. "Maybe I can get some proper tools now," Snaggletooth thinks to himself.
Then he notices Leo, looking at Thoran's sword. "Lee-o, you like Thor-an's sword? You want it? It too big for me. I plan to sell it later for gold or magic. If you want, you can have. I have Pale Ones chain weapons. They sell for a nice price, too. Not as good a story, but gold is nice." He smiles and offers the great sword to Leo.
....Did we get any XP for the skill challenge? I want to know if we made it to level 6.
And if we are planning on continuing in any fashion.....
Snaggles - you're behind the times :) You already have a brand new discussion thread sitting there waiting for you. It's called "Into the Blue" and you'll start at level 6. You ended this about 700XP off, so I'm bumping you all as a thank you gift.
Fairwind smirks sardonically, "Ya've got a habit o' choosin' the wrong side, Devlin." she says, not without some humour, "Care to try the right one fer a change?"
"Could be. Since we're being civil and friendly-like, I've got to admit, things ain't really gone my way since our paths crossed. Guess it depends on the proposition. Money too, of course." He grins back at her, completely at ease. "Buying me a drink would be a good start."

Now, don't say I never gave you anything, Leo. :)
"Much obliged, I was thinking about using his sword against other servants of Shar as sort of poetic justice if you will..." Leo thanks Snaggletooth.
Oops didn't realise Caine was already using a heavy shield and not sure Leo would actually know Caine is wearing enchanted chain mail
