I'm going to be a bit booked for the next couple days (I'll be able to post again Friday night). NPC me as needed. Things should settle down for me next week.
Got volunteered to drive two of my sons to an In Flames concert tomorrow, so I will be off line for the next two days (I’ll have my touch pad and can make posts if I need to, just won’t have access to my mapping software and other resources)
It doesn't look like everyone is going to make it to the passageway in the east wall before the next golems arrive
The whole group is back in the chamber with the shallow pool, and the rod. Just tell me what you want to do, and we'll move forward
Also, it is the beginning of Spring Break time here in the US, so I expect a lull in the posting for the next week, but as I've said before I'm not going anywhere (even if another two of my games seem to be drying up)
I’ll be going out of town tomorrow through Thursday for a three day two night hiking get a way. I’ll be sating in a nice lodge that has internet access and I’ll have my touch pad, so if something comes up that needs my attention I’ll try to respond, otherwise enjoy the break
Knowledge History, DC 20 – the Scepter of Elemental Command:
There are many legends and stories associated with the life and times of Queen Axellexa the Excellent. One such story tells the tale of a powerful scepter, a magical artifact, that was not a possession of the Queen’s, but a sacred relic from a time far gone that was only used in great times of need. It was said that the scepter was the rod of authority of the great goblin king, Spencer the Late, and that the scepter was kept hidden away most of the time, but that when she was preparing her tomb, while she was still young and powerful, Axellexa used the scepter to overcome the guardian of the first door, the door in the Mysterious Dungeon that, it is said, leads to the place called “The Here” (very little is known about “The Here” while there are many rumors and myths about “The After”). The scepter has some strange power over elementals, but is itself, the legend says, very strong willed, temperamental, and dangerous to control. After it was used by Queen Axellexa the scepter slipped out of history and was lost. Some say it was returned to the Mysterious Dungeon and is guarded by a powerful protector.
I hope that those who celebrate the holiday have a wonderful Easter or Passover, me not so much of a Christian or Jew (more like a non robe wearing Buddhist), but today I get to assemble a new swing set for my Grand Daughter. I think I need some kind of wrench or something I tried rolling to make it happen, but eh?
I am going to go ahead and move everyone on to the next part, I hope you are all ready. Does anyone have anything they want to say or do before we move on?
Someone looked at City Creek on the Interwebnets thingy, awesome.
Now, just so I don't mislead all of you. I don't live in Salt Lake City, Utah, but I like to visit City Creek every time I go there, it is a cool sort of place (for an old guy like me) and they have a lot of candy and sweet shops, whoo hooo.
Not everything about the place will be the same, but a few things will be, mostly I am using the layout and environment for this chapter.
Gobzilla, - I'm sorry if it is confusing, you might need to go back and read it again. Hope your weekend is less brutal :) oh, and you do not have Gaia in this world, you do however have a radical long board
Hey everybody, two things - just had an emergency tooth extraction, everything is fine, but damn that is painful stuff, and on Friday I am putting my youngest child on a plane for Spain - so the next couple of days will be interesting for me, but I'm not going away.
Does everyone understand how the Skazer Tag Challenge will be handled? I will make a game post describing how Ehsmaralduh and Ivenne will spend the next three days giving Gemdar and Tabaaac all the training they can get on staying on either skates or a skateboard (your choice) and before the event begins Gemdar and Tabaaac will earn a Rank in the Ride Skill

Would Gobzilla's new outfit impede on his ride check like his dragon suit/hide armor? If so, then maybe I'll have him purchase a new outfit using those weird green paper squares his gold morphed into.
No, your old gear has become clothing suited to this setting, as your animal companion has become a skateboard. Now, in Gobzilla's case, as he normally would use handle animal when interacting with his companion (which also serves as his mount) I think I will allow you to substitute Handle animal for the Ride Skill in this competition
Why was I under the mistaken impression that most of the goblins had the ride skill? *Sheesh* what a bone head I was
Gemdar will get the same skill benefits from the Montage as Tabaaac and Gobzilla, and a special post will be made to enhance the Montage, '80 sports film style.
Yes in the first round, you can start a Bardic Performance, but you must also make a Ride Skill Check, unless you state you are standing still, which sort of makes you a sitting duck.
To encourage the ride skill checks, and keep everyone from just standing still and shooting.
I would like to add the following, if you Succeed at the Ride Skill Check (Roll 10+) I will apply a modifier to your Touch AC equal to +1 to AC for each +2 above 10 rolled
(And I think I'll apply it to the Blizzard patrol as well, just to make it harder)
Unless you all think I'm going out side of the basic rules too far.
This was posted to the game thread a while back, reposted for reference
The Skazer Tag Challenge will be like an encounter, though there will be no need for initiative. Each round each player will be required to make a Ride Skill Check, and you can apply a negative modifier to the roll of any amount up to the ranks you have in Ride Skill. The DC for the Skill Check is 10. IF you roll a 1 on the skill check, you wipe out, and fall, your team loses a point. If you roll below 10, then you apply a negative modifier to your to hit roll for that round equal to the difference between what you roll and 10. If you roll 10+ and you score a hit on your to hit roll for that round, you score one point, plus one point for each negative point of modifier you took on your ride skill check. Each round you can choose to roll a to hit roll against the Blizzard patrol. There will be 6 members of the Blizzard Patrol, with Ehsmaralduh and Ivvenne you will have six on your team. Each round you can make a ranged touch attack with the gun that you are given, and all your modifiers for using guns normally apply (except nothing here will misfire or be damaged). You can cast spells during a round, instead of taking a shot, if you think it will affect the other team’s ability to shot at you, but you cannot use magic to directly injure the other team. The battle will be ten rounds of skating/boarding and shooting the Blizzard Patrol while they shoot at you and the team that scores the most points at the end of ten rounds wins the Skazer Tag Challenge. If you win, you will be granted access to the door to the After.
Fluuk – Casting True Strike will work as normal, for the attack you make in the Next Round you get a +20 on the to hit roll, better hope you don’t wipe out on the skill check that round.
