"I do not know. The last time I saw him was just before I gave my speech. I did not notice his absence until later in the night, due to all the celebration. You'll need to pick up his trail somehow, perhaps someone in the camp saw him leave? Only this must be kept as quiet as possible. If some harm has befallen John, then it would not due for it to be known I suspected him of treachery."

"Very well," Tekumsah says, and without waiting for any further dismissal, he exits the tent and begins picking his way to the rough spot John was standing at during the speech, slowly and stealthily if at all possible. Crouching down, he looks at the dirt and brush, attempting to discern John's trail...

I'm going to make all the checks I think are relevant to these actions...

While Tekumsah is crouched down in the grass looking for a trail, he hears a high pitched voice say. "Hey, are you looking for bugs too!?" Standing behind him is a skinny little boy, or possibly a childish goblin. It's hard to tell. He's naked, and doesn't seem to care. In one hand he grasps a grasshopper while the other is empty. He's quite dirty.

Kaiyohos starts to follow Tekumsah, but when he sees the boy, he hangs back to see how Tekumsah reacts.

Tekumsah smiles at the child. "Actually, I'm looking for a... friend... of mine. He was standing around here during the speech, and wanted to test my tracking skills. Now I'm trying to find his footprints, so I can see where he went. Or," Tekumsah says, lowering his voice to a conspiratorial whisper, "perhaps you know where he is? You could tell me, I won't let him know you gave it away."

If you want a Bluff check, Tekumsah's taking 10 on this one, for a check of 14. Not spectacular, but he isn't particularly wary of children, or small goblins, for that matter.

After hearing this, Kaiyohos decides that it would be wise to go and get his wolf, Cormag.

"Thank you," Tekumsah says, standing and ruffling the boy's hair. "What's your name, young tracker?"

"Well, Jaffe-Frog, you've been very helpful. I'm sure you'll be a great hunter and warrior some day." Tekumsah motions to the others to follow him and begins to stalk off in the direction Jaffe mentioned, still looking about for solid trails or footprints.

Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28
Survival to track: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21

Gromsch tries to assist Tekumsah at tracking Sassamon.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

While in the clearing, there are so many tracks and people that it's impossible to pick out any one trail. However going in the direction that Frog pointed to the edge of the clearing Tekumsah and Gromsch do manage to find a single set of tracks leading eastward away from the gathering. It would not be so unusual, if not for the fact that the boot prints are of colonial make, rather than the moccasins most greenskins wear.

We haven't heard from Tamimay in a few days, not sure what's up there. Kaiyohos I'm assuming will follow once he gets Cormag.

I assume that I've reached Cormag by now, and mounting him is not hard. I'll be over there soon enough, I just have to avoid the pedestrians.

Tekumsah follows the tracks, moving as quickly as he can without disrupting the tracking process.

Taking 10 on Stealth, so 21 to notice this guy through the woods, dark, whatever.

The group follows the tracks a ways before realizing they aren't going to stop anytime soon. Do you want to go back and get any gear, or continue on?

Hm... Better safe than sorry.

Tekumsah decides to head back to camp and grab his bag before returning to the trail of his quarry.

He was already wearing all his weapons and his quiver, and his lenses are in already, but it's probably good to have all that stuff I paid for.

Gromsch goes back and takes his backpack out of the tent and returns to Kaiyohos.

I'm ready. Let's find him.

Gromsch tries to be as quite as ossible while tracking.

Upon Tek and Grom returning I follow them out assuming that they are on to something or have a lead. I take my gear with me. I will lend my aide and my strength to our search. Please slow enough for my fire cursed blessing so that I may keep up with you.

The group follows the trail for a mile or two into the forest. Suddenly Cormac veers off the path to a tree stump and starts scratching and sniffing at it.

"Animals do have much stronger senses than our own," Tekumsah says, also walking over to Cormag, though keeping a respectful distance from the wolf. He peers down at the ground for a moment, but seeing that Kaiyohos is looking there, Tekumsah instead focuses his attention on their surroundings, noticing that an ambush is a possibility.

Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29

The stump he's scratching at has been been cleverly cut to act as a hidden chest. Inside are a breechcloth and some leggings. Aside from that it's empty.

"Strange..." Tekumsah murmurs, looking down at the contents of the chest. "Apparently we have someone on the loose who's nude from the waist down." He smirks, then adds, "Or perhaps they're wearing Elesomari pants. Either way, they should stand out."

"This might just be the half-way point between for our man."


Or we might have a changeling or some one only possing as a greenskin

"The fact that this was found along John's trail makes me think Master Strongspear is right," Tekumsah says, though without any malice or rudeness toward the oracle. Tekumsah may not be used to magic, but he knows enough to be respectfully wary of those who know its secrets. "For one thing, I'd think a shapeshifter would have complete clothing sets. This is only bottoms. I'm guessing John was here, and he continued onward..."

Tekumsah moves back to the trail, hoping to pick up the path once more. However, he opens his quiver and pulls out his bow and one arrow, ready or any dangers that may present themselves on the path.

I actually was shocked that my rolls actually helped. Quite pleased.

Between all of you succeed and then some.

The group follows the trail of colonial boot prints for miles through the forest, ever eastward. It's clear whoever left them wasn't just wandering away from the meeting place. They have a destination in mind. Eventually the trees begin to thin and you enter the area that is disputed by the greenskins and the Elesomari.

After following the tracks a short distance further they see a small homestead up ahead. The log cabin is surrounded by a very large garden, and the party can smell pigs and chickens. The river stone chimney has smoke coming out of it. The trail seems to dead end at the gate to the garden.

"Well, boys," Tekumsah says, frowning at the cabin, "Looks like we found our man. Shall we go in soft and easy, or kick in the doors and find out what's going on without as much trouble? Used to be I'd only opt for the latter, but years in the city have taught me the wisdom of discreetness."

The young warrior grins, crouched low by the gate, trying to avoid detection from the cabin.

"I may fit, seeing as I'm less conspicuous and fearful to the Elesomari than you fellows. But I'm not exactly known for my diplomacy, if you know what I mean."


Hide first that we are not discovered, I call on the fires of the earth to fling a stone at the doorway. We then can see who or what answers before approaching ourselves. If it is John, we will know who it is we have followed. If it is not we may then proceed differently.

I grin look towards the house for a small fist sized rock.

Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

If successful I will mage hand to throw it at the door waiting only long enough for the party to hide.

Not sure what to roll here
